Craft Consortium - Leather Bound #2

Hi everyone

Did you catch the fabulous Craft Consortium show on Hobbymaker TV highlighting the stunning 'Leather Bound' collection, and the 'Vintage Emporium' paper pad with Helen Kirkham. The collection is ideal for all project types especially masculine ones, journaling and mixed media. It's so versatile!

Unfortunately the card I'm sharing today wasn't shown on the show, so I'm sharing here and on social media. To create it I used the papers from both the 'Leather Bound' & Vintage Emporium' pads to make a Spring/Easter card. Most of the elements were cut using my Silhouette cutting machine and a cutting file, with the addition of a few craft dies from my stash (see below). Everything was cut out and layered up to give a mini 3d effect ideal for popping in the post. I think the papers work brilliant, giving everything so much texture without the weight and bulk of the real thing.

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

This Is What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of paper from the 'Vintage Emporium paper pad to fit the front of a 5" x 7" white card blank. Next I cut out all the elements for the rabbit and box using the 'Leather Bound' paper pad. The eggs, greenery and flowers were cut out using coloured card, some using dies. Everything was layered up to create the scene. The sentiment was cut out 3 times (2 x brown card and1 x gold mirror card), glued together and added to the front of the box. To finish the card, I added natural adhesive pearls to the flowers along with a punched out butterfly.

Other Things I Used:
5” & 7” White Card Blank, Silhouette Cutting File (Artist-Your Magic Line), Silhouette Cutting Machine, Butterfly Punch, Ornate Frame Die Set (Hunkydory), Stitched Border Die (Lawn Fawn), Spring Foliage & Best Wishes Die Sets (Creative Expressions), Card - White, Pink, Brown, White, Lilac, Cream, Yellow, Red, Green, Glue

Lili Of The Valley - Alphabet Bunnies #1

Hi Everyone

I'm here today to share a sneak peak of the new Lili Of The Valley 'Bunny Alphabet' polymer stamps and digi stamps launch. The launch will take place on Create & Craft TV on Monday 20th @ 5pm (GMT), and then in the LOTV Etsy store soon after. The stamps are very cute and contain the bunnies in different poses alongside letters of the alphabet. The letters work both singularly and combined together, and are perfect for all occasions.

For today's card I used the letter 'E' along with Copic pens to colour her up. It's kind of a hybrid card - it's been physically stamped with a digital sentiment, I kept the overall look clean and simple. I hope you like it. I'll be back tomorrow with another 'Bunny Alphabet' just for Mother's Day.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed down a piece of pastel pink patterned paper to fit a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. In the centre of the card front I glued flat a white die cut filigree frame along with a pink mat. I typed up the 'Happy aster' sentiment and printed it directly onto colouring card stock, then die cut it into a square. Next I stamped the 'Alphabet E Bunnie' alongside the sentiment. The letter, bunnie, snail  and bees were coloured with Copic pens.

The completed scene was attached to a pink scalloped frame, and funky foam was added to the back. Painted pink hearts and pearls were inserted back into each the corner. The completed topper was mounted into the centre of the white filigree frame. To finish the card, I added a white pen to the 'E' and a little glitter to the snail and bees.

Amanda Jayne Designs - Easter Tilly

Hi there

I have another lovely Easter card to share with you today. This time I created a shaped free standing card using Easter Tilly from Amanda Jayne Designs. The 5½" tall shaped card was made with the help of my electronic cutting machine. The image was coloured with Copic pens and her dress was paper pieced. Below the pictures I've tried to explain how I made, but there were quite a few steps in the process, so if you have any questions please let me know (either email me or leave me your email address in the comments). I hope you like it.

Even though I have created a 3d version of Tilly, she would look equally as pretty flat onto a card or even decoupaged up.

For your information, here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
Using my Silhouette electronic cutting machine I imported 'Easter Tilly' into my software, and resized her sufficiently so that I would be able to duplicate her and create a top fold card.

To make the shaped card base -- I selected the image and then used the 'Trace' tool and told it to trace the outer edge of it to create a cutting line. Using this outline I used the 'Offset' tool to create a slightly large outline (this was so I would have a slim border around her when she was glued in place). I duplicated the offset image and flip one of the images vertically. I moved the flipped image up so that the ears were slightly touching and made sure they were perfectly inline with each other and of equal distance. I selected them both and welded them. I added a dashed line (fold line) at the section where the ears met. I cut this out from strong white card.

Easter Tilly - The girl image and the original cutline were moved back onto my on-screen mat and then printed out with registration marks. The printout was placed onto my actual cutting mat and cut out. I coloured in her skin and hair with Copic pens. For her dress I printed out a sheet of the Easter paper, then put it back in my printer and printed the image straight onto it. I fussy cut out the dress and glued it in place on the image. The completed image was glued onto the shaped card base.

To finish off I added a little glitter to her hair band and the ribbon around her dress.

Here's What I Used
Easter Digi Paper & Stamp: Easter Digi Bundle

Copic Pens: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair - YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Bunny Eats & Shirt - C0, C1, R00, R20, R30

Hi there

I have a lovely little Easter bunny card to share with you today. I used the free Easter bunnie digi stamps which is being offered over on the facebook group Kit & Clowder from Amanda Jayne Designs. So if you're not already a member, why not head over to the group and get joining. FYI, there's also a video on how to use digi stamps. I've teamed the cute bunnie up with one of Amanda's digi papers from the Easter bundle set, and one of my own sentiments. All the links are below. To add colour to the images I used my watercolour pens. I hope you like it.

I imported the Easter bunnie and sentiment into my software, and resized them to fit my project. The scene was printed out onto watercolouring card, and then die cut into a  fancy square to match the card blank. The image was coloured with watercolour pens.

The completed picture was glued onto a fancy yellow mat and then onto the card front. To finish off I added a few die cut hearts and a little glitter to the bow around the egg.

Morning everyone

I'm sharing my latest card that will hopefully get you leaping into April like these little bunnies. The sweet Easter bunnies are from Lili Of the Valley's new March collection. For my card today I used the digi stamp version, but the image is also available as a pre-coloured Simply Print.

The bunnie stamp I used is called Leaping Bunnies; I partnered it with a sentiment from the Spring Mix of 32 Sentiments collection. I used Copic pens for the bunnies and distress inks in the background. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please )

Lili Of The Valley - Bunny On Swing

Hi there

Well today I have another gorgeous Easter bunnie digi stamps to share with you from Lili Of  The Valley. LOTV really know how to do bunnies, I just love them. I'm late with my posts as I was trying my hand, might I say miserably, at watercolouring. Esh, I had a right old time and it didn't go well. In my early cardmaking days and pre Copic and Promarkers I did watercoloured my images, but since buying my pens I rarely do it...and it showed. I really need to put some practice in, so that's exactly what I'm planning on doing. Wish me luck! I'm also going to start Art Journaling as I have so many wonderful stamps and that I rarely used and some haven't even seen the light of day. Plus I want to get back to being creative for 'me'. :)

Anyhow back to the matter at hand and today's card. So today's card is using the very sweet Bunny On Swing and an sentiment from the Spring Mix of 32 Sentiments collection. I used Watercolour paint and pencils over the top to colour with.  I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please )

Here's What I Did
I cut to size a piece of pretty two-tone patterned paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6"card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge..

Using my software I imported the sweet little bunny and a sentiment, then resized them both to fit my project. The scene was printed onto watercolour card and die cut into a circle. I lightly watercoloured the image and added pencil over the top. The finished scene was mounted on a purple circle mat then a lilac scalloped circle mat.

Foam was added to the back of the completed topper and glued to the centre of the card front. To finish off the card I add a pearls around the card.

Here's What I Used

Amanda Jayne Designs - Bertie Bear In Bunny Suit

 Hi there

Today I'm wearing another hat so to speak, as I'm Guest Designing for Amanda Jayne Designs. The lovely Amanda has designed some gorgeous new digi stamps, sentiments and papers and asked if I would create some cards with them, so of course I said yes.

I have 3 cards to share with you over the next few days, starting with the one below - I used the sweet bear stamp 'Bertie Bear In Bunny Suit', on e of the papers from the 'Crochet Hearts' paper collection and a Mother's Day sentiment. To add colour to the images I used my Copic pens. The digi stamp and lots of other fabulous design are available in her Etsy store, where there's an offer on atm - buy 3 and get 10% off or buy 5 and get 25% off, so grab yourself a bargain. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please)

For your information, here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
First I printed off the pretty crochet paper onto some good quality printer paper, then added it to the card front leaving a slim border around the edge.

Next using my software I used the same paper and digitally cut out a heart shape then added a shadow behind it. A sentiment was also added and placed beneath the heart, both elements were resized so they would fit a 4½" x 4½" square. The complete image was printed directly onto white card, then die cut into a fancy edged square. Funky foam was added to the back of the square and glued to the centre of the card front.

Using my software again I imported the bear and resized it so it would fit inside the heart, then printed it onto colouring card stock. I coloured the bunnie using Copic pens, then fussy cut it out. The cut out bear was glued to the centre of the heart.

To finish the card I added a few pearls to the top of the card plus a little blue heart near the sentiment.

Here's What I Used
Digi Paper: Crochet Hearts
Digi Sentiment: Mother's Day sentiment

Copic Pens: Bears - E31, E33, E35, R11, R20 / Bunny Suit - C0, C1 / Flowers & Grass - B0000, B12, B14, YG01, YG03, YG17

Here's What I Did
First I trimmed down a piece of pink patterned paper and attached it to the front of a 5" x 5" card blank. Next I die cut a fancy square from white card and added pink glitter to the corners, then glued it flat to the centre of the card front.

I imported the sweet little bear digi stamp and sentiment into my graphics program, then resized them to fit my project. The bear image was then printed directly onto colouring card stock, and die cut into a circle. The image was coloured in using Copic pens and attached to a pink fancy die cut circle; funky foam was glued to the back and added to the centre of the white die cut square.

The printed sentiment was cut out and a die cut frame was added over the top, this was then glued onto the front of the card. To finish the card a few pearls were added.

Lili Of The Valley - Easter Collection

Hi everyone

I hope you're all doing ok, and have managed to escape the virus so far. If you haven't, then I'm sending you a big healing hug. If you have, then keep doing what you're doing. Stay safe. x

Anyhow, I'm sharing my latest card using another new Lili Of the Valley Easter digi stamp, this one is called 'Juggling Bunnywhich I coloured with Copic pens. Don't you think the bunnie and his little friends are really cute. II hope you like it. x

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I created a card blank by die cutting into a pre-made DL card with an arched window die; the same die was used again to cut another arched window shape,  but this time from yellow card and it was glued to the card front. Using the next size down in the arched window dies I cut out another one from green patterned paper and added it into the centre of the card front.

I imported the sweet bunnie digi stamp into my graphics program, then resized it to fit my project. The image was then printed directly onto colouring card stock, and die cut into an arched window shape. The image was coloured in using Copic pens, then glitter was added to the Easter eggs. The completed scene was glued into the centre of the card front.

To finish the card I added die cut flowers and leaves to the sides of the card, along with a few pearls.
