Sweet Stampin' - Girly But NO Pink

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Here in the UK we've been battling some awful stormy weather - high winds etc, so I hope you're all safe and still have a roof on house.

Well I don't know about you, but everything is now back to normal - Christmas has come and gone. So now I'm dreaming of spring days and fresh flowers.

Anyhoo it's Sweet Stampin' time!!  Our theme this week is' Girly But NO Pink'. So what better time to use one of my Prima stamps - this gorgeous girl is a stamp and die combo set....even her little dog. Everything was stamped, die cut and layered up, with spring in mind I tried to use uplifting colours. I hope you like it. x

Here's What I did
I used an A5 card base and matted it with yellow starry patterned paper. I added die cut background hills from patterned papers and vellum. I stamped and die cut the Prima girl and her dog. In the set her dress, shoes and hair have their own stamps and dies, so I stamped her dress and shoes onto more patterned  papers and some plain cardstock then die cut them out. Her hair was stamped and die cut from colouring card stock which I coloured using my Copic pens. I dressed my doll and added her and little dog onto my card base.  To finish off I added ribbon to her dress, die cut clouds, sequins and a sentiment.

Here's everything I used:
Stamp: Prima Doll Stamp & Die Set #910358
Paper/Cardstock (CS):  LOTV (Lilli Of the Valley) ' Petal Fresh' and 'Bonnets & Bowties', Neenah CS, Papermania Vellum and Patterned Paper (old stock)
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E18, E99
Dies: Spellbinder 'Curved Border One', Joy! 'Clouds', Sizzix Framelits & Stamps 'Hello'
Other: Ribbon, Gems, Sequins, Silver Thread

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Cowgirl/Cowboy

Good morning my bloggy friends.

OMG it's Sweet Stampin' time, and yay nearly time for my holiday to Alaska!!! And yes, I'll post lots of photos on here when I return, especially of all the lumberjackes.....erm, I mean huskies.  :)

This week's theme is Cowgirl or Cowboy- so I thought I would go all 'tag' lol. Yee Haw!!!

Here's What I did
I cut out 2 tag shapes from stiff cardstock for the base, and covered one of the tags with patterned paper, and distressed the edges with ink. I scored the top of this tag and attached it to the back one using strong tape (red tape). I stamped and cut out my Prima Doll 'Becky' and coloured her with Copic markers, I then stamped different sections of her onto patterned papers, added some shading to the pieces and cut them out - all the components were then glued onto the doll shape. Patterned paper, die cut shapes and a flower were added to the tag front, together with the finished doll. To finish off I placed cut out sentiment around the tag and used a little glitter on her hat, skirt and the banner.

Here's everything I used:
Stamp: Prima Doll 'Becky'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Papermill Pearlised CS, Pink, Brown & Cream CS, Gingham Paper (from an old kit)
Copics:  Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11 / Hair - C1, C3, C5, C7, 100 / Skirt - RV10. RV13, RV34 / Shirt - RV10, RV13, Boots & Hat - E11, E15
Dies: Xcut 'Petal Posy', Zig-Zag Die (not sure of the make), Sizzix 'Stars'
Other:  CraftArtist2, Button, Glitter, Distressing Inks, String

Sweet Stampin - Say It With Flowers

Hellooooo, well it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.

Wow, I've been sat here crafting with all the windows open listening to all the birds tweeting away - it's been a beautiful day. So beautiful day hence 'wash day' :) basically if it stood still long enough it went in my washing machine and then hung on the line. Obviously the downside to this is the dreaded ironing, which I hate btw.  Apparently here this week it's going to be awful - rain and more rain, but as we know the weather peeps often sometimes get it wrong.  lol

Here's What I did
Here's how I made my cute girly card. I cut down a 5" x7" pre-scored card base slightly and took the top corners off to make a tag card, then echoed this with the pretty LOTV paper (I inked around the edges before adding it the card base). The pretty border was made using a Tonic punch and I added a paper ribbon strip to compliment her dress.  The flower was die cut using the same colour card stock as the border and to give it a lift I glued die cut lime green glitter card leaves underneath.

The Prima girl was stamped, coloured and cut out, as was her dress from again pretty co-ordinating LOTV paper, she was added to the card using foam tape. To finish I glued a ribbon in place and printed off my sentiments which were cut out in random shapes, inked and placed around her. I have to say I love, love, love these Prima stamps they're so girly, and up to now I've made quite a few cards using her and her friends - they're just so versatile!

Here's everything I used:
Stamp:  Prima Dolls #910198
Paper/Cardstock (CS): LOTV 'Promises', Papermania CS, Glitter CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dress - V02, V04
Dies: XCut 'Petal Posy', Tattered Lace 'Embellishments'
Other: Ribbon, Tonic Border Punch, Serif CA2

Sweet Stampin' - Lots Of Layers

It's Sweet Stampin' time again.

I hope you're all enjoy the beautiful spring weather here in the UK. It's so nice to see some sunshine instead of fog and clouds.  Anyhoo, back to Sweet Stampin' - our theme this week is Lots Of Layers.  Well I don't do layers very well, so I decided to create a tag for you using my new Prima Doll.  I bought this and another PD stamp a few months but never seemed to got around to using them.  But can I say this stamp is HUGE, I had to use my Cuttlebug B place as my acrylic block so I could stamp her out.  I have to say I totally enjoyed making this.

Here's What I did
Using this gorgeous paper as inspiration I decided to go with a lilac colourway. Unfortunately my ribbon appears blue in the photo -- I actually took 20 photos of this tag and it still looked blue.  I made my own large tag and added my paper, then stamped my sentiment onto it. At the bottom I glued a punched out border and topped it with ribbon. paper pieced her dress, The flowers, leaves and branches were die and glued into place. The dolls clothes were paper pieced and layering it up. To add a bit of interest I drew a design on the dress/hairband with glue and added some glitter. To finish off I placed my die cut clouds and punched out butterflies around the tag. I did use Copic pens to create her hair, and to add shade to the skins and dress.

Here's what I Used:
Stamp: Prima Doll #910143, Little Darlings 'Large Words'
Cardstock (CS)/Paper: White, Cream & Lilac CS, DoCrafts 'Bellsimo' Paper Pack
Copics:  Skins - E000, E00, E11 / Dress & Shoes - V12, V15, V04 / Hair - E50, E51, E53
DiesBritannia Multi Rose, Tattered lace 'Embellishment', Joy! Crafts 'Clouds', Die'sire 'Leaf 1'
Punch: Butterfly Mini Punch, Martha Stewart Border
Other: Glitter, Candi, Gems
