Lili Of The Valley - Designers Week Event

 Morning everyone

Well it’s a special week over at Lili Of The Valley towers – it’s Designer Week. This means that as I’m part of the Lili Of The Valley Design Team I get to give you a little surprise offer - you can save 20% off any item at www.liliofthevalley.co.uk by using the coupon code JANINEQUINN20 - so Happy Shopping! I would love it if you would leave me a message in the comments to let me know if you used the voucher to treat yourself. :)

The offer lasts from 10th October until 17th October. I hope you are inspired by all my LOTV makes on my blog! To get you in the mood I'm re-sharing a Christmas card I made a back in 2019 which I still love to bits, I hope you like it too. x

I made a lovely bauble card using the 'Snowy Chums' digi stamp, which is still available in the LOTV online store. I coloured up the cute two-some using Copic pens and created the pretty sky using distress inks. Aren't they just the sweetest things....EVER!

If you want to see the full range of Lili Of The Valley products available simply go to the LOTV Etsy Store. Enjoy!

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of gorgeous blue paper from my stash, and added it to the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

I die cut the bauble frame 3 times from strong white card, then stacked and glued them together to create depth. The back section of the globe was die cut and then 4 different distress inks were blended onto it. When the inks were dry, watered down white and black chalk paint was flicked over the top to look like drops of snow. Dots were also added using a white pen.

I imported the cute digi stamp into my graphics program, then resized it so it would fit inside the bauble. The image was then printed directly onto colouring card stock, and die cut using the back panel of the bauble it ensure it was the correct size. The image was coloured in using Copic pens apart from the sky, then fussy cut out around the characters.  Glitter was added to the snow floor. The seal and penguin section was glued on top of the background sky and then the white bauble frame was added over the top. To complete the bauble, the top section (cap) was die cut from blue glitter card then glued into place along with a ribbon. Snowflakes were die cut from white card and glued around the characters. Funky foam was added to the back of the bauble and then added to the centre of the card front.

To finish my card I added blue gems to the top and bottom of the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: Snowy Chums

Copic Pens: Seal Pup & Penguin - C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, W0, W1, Y17, YR23 / Hats - R27, R29, R59, B0000, B000, B00 / Snow - B0000, B000 / Mistletoe - YG03, YG67

Lili Of the Valley - Farm Cows

Afternoon everyone

Wow, I can't believe we're now in March. It's scary how fast the months are going, the upside is that Spring is definitely on it's way. Sooo, to celebrate this Lili Of  The Valley card have launched a selection of new digi stamps - cute farm animals, rabbits and dragons. My first card for this month is using the sweet Spring - farm cows set (the set includes 2 baby cows). To add colour I used my Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please )

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I added a piece of  gorgeous daisy print patterned paper to the centre of a 6" x 6" white card blank.

Using my software I imported the sweet little calf and resized it to fit my project. The cow was coloured with Copic pens and pencils, when it was finished it was fussy cut out.

A circle was cut from pale blue and green card. From the green circle I die cut 2 grassy borders and glued them on top of each other at the bottom of the blue circle. Using the cut out cow as a placement guide I glued a few die cut clouds and flowers in place. The finished scene was matted onto a white scalloped circle, then funky foam was added to the back to give extra dimension. The topper was glued into the centre of the card. The cow was added to the created scene using foam pads.

To finish off I added a few pearls to the bottom of the card and a banner embellishment to the top.

Here's What I Used

Lili Of the Valley - Rowmantic

 Hi everyone

I'm back again with another gorgeous digi stamp from Lili Of The Valley, this one is called 'Rowmantic' (it's a great name isn't it!). I've teamed the sweet couple up with one of the new heart borders (please note that the border DOES NOT include the word 'I love you', I have physically added this over the top  of the border using my software program - it's really easy to do. To add some colour to the images I used Copic pens.

Both digi stamps are part of the 'love' collection which has been released today and there's 20% off everything. All the stamps are really sweet and could be used for Valentine's Day, anniversary, engagement/wedding or just to say 'I love you'. Links will be added after the launch. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please )

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I added a piece of  blue starry paper to the centre of my 6" x 6" scalloped card blank. Using my software I imported the heart border and tilted it slightly. I add a text box and typed the words 'I love you', making sure that the text box fill was empty (not white filled as it would be normally). I placed the box over the top of the border and again tilted it slightly, the boy/girl image was added and resized to fit the circle I planned to use. The scene was printed straight onto blue card, and die cut clouds were added. The completed scene was cut with a circle die.

The same boy/girl image was printed again onto colouring card and coloured with Copic pens, then fussy cut out. The cut out image was glued in place on the blue circle; the finished scene was mounted onto a scalloped white circle.  Foam was added to the back of the topper and glued in to the centre of the card front. To finish off the card I add glitter to the hearts, and a heart gem to the bottom of the card.

If you would like a more detailed tutorial on how I added the text please let me know in the comments below, and I will add them to the tutorial page. x

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamps: Rowmantic and Heart Borders

Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E02, E11 / Hair & Boat - YR0000, YR00, E13, E99 / Oars - E31., E33 / Striped Jumper - R29, C1 / Dress - RV10, RV13, RV14 / Hat - YG03, YG17, RV13, RV14, YR23, YR31 / Water - BG10, BG11, B000, B00, B01, B02 / Hearts - R29

Lili Of the Valley - Christmas Card #6

Hi Everyone

I'm back again with another winter or should I say Christmas delight. This is the 2nd of my Lili Of The Valley cards that I coloured up and made over the weekend. Today's card has been made using an adorable Santa image...isn't he sweet, I think you could easily use him for a male Christmas card or maybe an 'Across The Miles' card. The stamp is called 'Bumpy Ride' digi stamp (transparent sky in a solid white square - PNG style), and used one of the digi papers from the 'Krafty Red And White' set in both the background and in the picture. I coloured the scene in with Copic pens. Did you know you can buy the images already pre-coloured  from the LOTV Etsy store, which are brilliant for batch making at Christmas time.
______ XXX _____
FYI, if you struggle using digi stamps or haven't got a suitable software package on your computer check out my 'Tutorials' page on this blog or in the 'Files' section on the 'We Love Lili Of The Valley' facebook group (if you are a member) as I've written 4 pictorial tutorials on how to download a free software program called WPS Office and then how to use it with digi stamps.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.
Here's What I Did
I printed out one of the Kraft design papers onto good quality printer paper. The paper was trimmed down and added it to the front of a 6" x 6" Kraft card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

Using my graphics software I imported the same digi paper I used earlier and resized it slightly. Next I added the digi stamp over the top and resized them both to fit the die I intended to use. When I was happy with everything I printed the scene directly onto my colouring card and cut it out with a rounded square die. The image was coloured in using Copic pens. Making sure I protected the white border around the coloured in scene I added a little brown distress ink around the edge to make the paper pop. The finished scene was glued flat onto a red scalloped die cut  square, and funky foam was added to the back. The complete topper was then adhered to the centre of the card.

To finish the card I added glossy accents to the headlights and 3 red enamel dots to the bottom of the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp:  Bumpy Ride
Digital Paper: Krafty Red And White

Copic Pens: Santa - E000, E00, E01, E02, R27, E07, E08, E09, C2, C3, W2 / Tree - YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67, B99 / Car - R27, E07, E08, E09, C2, C3, C5, C7, Y15, Y17 / Candy Canes - R27, E09, C1, C3 / Presents - R27, E07, E08, E09, B12, B14, B16, Y17, E31, E33, E35, YG01, YG03, YG17 / Stars - Y15, Y17 / Snow -  B0000, B000 / Shadow - C0, C1

Other: 6" x 6" Kraft Card Blank, Make It Colour Card, Red Card, White Digital Printing Paper, Stitched Scalloped Square Die (Creative Expressions), Tea Dye Distress Ink, Enamel Dots, Glossy Accents, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Funky Foam

Lili Of The Valley - Christmas Card #5

 Morning Everyone

Where are the weeks and months going! Is it just me??  I feel like I haven't posted any cards in ages. I've been busy though setting up my Etsy shop and adding stock, plus I've decided to sell my Cricut stuff on eBay, both of which have taken up a huge part of my time. Anyhow, I spend the weekend colouring up 2 really cute Lili Of The Valley Christmas digi stamps and teamed them up with some of the new digi papers.

For today's card I have used the 'Cosy Christmas Bear' digi stamp (transparent sky in a solid white square - PNG style) and one of the digi papers from the 'Snow Princess' set in both the scene and in the background.

Here's What I Did
I printed out the Snow Princess papers onto good quality printer paper. The paper was trimmed down and added it to the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. A white die cut frame was glued flat into the centre of the card front.

Using my graphics software I imported the the same digi paper I used earlier and reduced it slightly; I then rotated it so the colours would appear be the opposite to the background paper. Next I added the digi stamp over the top and resized them both to fit the die I intended to use. When I was happy with everything I printed the scene directly onto my colouring card and die cut into a scalloped square. The image was coloured in using Copic pens. The finished scene was glued flat onto a pink fancy edge die cut square, and funky foam was added to the back. The complete topper was then adhered to the centre of the card.

To finish the card I added a die cut poinsettia and a few branches, plus a little glitter to the snow.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: Cosy Christmas Bear
Digital Paper: Snow Princess

Copic Pens: Bear & Cat Fur - E31, E33, E35, E37, R32 / Hat, Coat & Scarf -  B0000, B000, B00, B02, B12, B14, B16, B18, RV00, RV02, R34, RV52, RV55 / Snow -  B0000, B000

Lili Of The Valley - Halloween #2

  Hi Everyone

I'm back with another new spooky Lili Of The Valley card, this time I've not made it too Halloweeny and but concentrated on cuteness instead. As mentioned yesterday the new launch includes digi stamps, sentiments and papers in 3 different formats and is available in the store today. You can buy the images, sentiments and paper packs separately or in a big bundle...the choice is yours. Below the photos you can find the names and links to the images and paper I used  in today's card. I used the white PNG with fully transparent background images and overlaid it over digi paper. I used Copic pens to colour with. I hope you like. x (This has now been added to my Etsy store)

The Collection
As mentioned yesterday, the collection includes cute witches, wizards, spooky accessories, sentiments and digital papers all in different designs. The images are in 3 different format --- a transparent sky in a solid white square (PNG) - perfect to overlaying over paper, a white PNG image with a fully transparent background - perfect for overlaying over digi papers with no edges or borders, and a JPG image with a solid white background. If you do buy any of the digi stamps and papers, and you need any help please do not hesitate to ask, and I will do my best to assist you. Please email me at: jsnine.quinn@gmail.com

Here's What I Did
First I added a piece of dark blue paper to the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank leaving a slim border edge around the edge. Next I imported the digital paper into my graphic program and resized it to 4½" x 4½" and printed it straight onto white card, then die cut it with a 5¼" x 5¼" square die to give a white border around the edge. The panel was then added to the card front flat.

I imported the sweet witch and spooky sentiment into my graphics program and resized them to fit my project, then printed them directly onto colouring cardstock. The image was then die cut into a circle and coloured in using Copic pens. The finished scene was added to a white scalloped circle mat, then funky foam was glued to the back to raise it up. The topper was attached to the centre of the card front.

To finish the card off I added 3 blue pearls to the card bottom and glitter to the wand and around the background. Note -- I changed the sentiment colour from black to white in my graphics program.

Lil Of The Valley - 'Old but New' Stamps #2

Hi everyone

I hope you're all keeping safe and healthy, and now starting to venture out. I've had some strange experiences over the past week, which really shouldn't be weird but just feel that way eg having my hair cut and coloured for the first time in 4 months, travelling in a car with my friend (be it with a face mask on) and going out for lunch. I have to admit to feeling pretty vulnerable and scared to start with, but felt happy that I did it. Anyhow make sure you continue to stay safe and healthy. x

Right, onto my card for today. The one I'm sharing with you was made using 2 previous launched digi stamps from Lili Of the Valley (LOTV). Both stamps were launched about a month ago and are available in their Etsy shop (link below). Today's card is a CAS one using the 'You Are My Sunshine' stamp, which I coloured with Prismacolor Pencils (no blender).

Here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and products availableand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
To start with I totally covered the front of a 6" x 6" card blank with some beige dotty paper.

Using my graphics software I imported the cute little bear image and a sentiment into it, then resized it to fit my project. The image was printed directly onto colouring cardstock and die cut into a square. The image was coloured in using pencils and mounted onto a brown scalloped die cut mat; funky foam was glued to the back and attached to the centre of the card front. White pen was added to the centres of the flowers.

To finish off I added a few gems to the bottom of the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: You Are My Sunshine

Prismacolour Pencils:
Bear - White, Cream , Burnt Ochre, Sienna Brown, Terracotta, Light Umber, Crimson Lake / Flowers - White, Lemon Yellow, Canary Yellow, Spanish orange, Pale Vermilion, Goldenrod, Orange, Crimson Red / Stems & Leaves - White, Chartreuse, Lime Peel, Dark Green / Butterfly - White, Lemon Yellow, Yellowed orange, Pale Vermilion

Other: 6" x 6" White Card Blank, Desert Storm Neenah Card, 'Lullaby' Paper Pad (Lemoncraft), Stitched Collection - Scalloped Square Dies (Creative Expressions), Brown Card, Gems, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Funky Foam

Lili of the Valley - Vintage Boys #2

Hi everyone

Well today the new Lili of The Valley vintage boys digi stamps were released in their Etsy store. The new collection has four new vintage boy stamps all celebrating outdoor pursuits, they're perfect for that man in your life, both young and old.

So for today's card I've used 'Watch The Birdie' which I coloured with Copic pens. I also used my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine to create a little frame to pop him behind, and added lots of die cut stars around it. I hope you like it. x

If you're not really keen on colouring or need a card in a hurry, Lili Of The Valley offer the same image but pre-coloured, simply download, print and cut out. See the link below :)

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of brown patterned paper from an old LOTV paper pad, and used it to cover the front of my 5" x 7". I added lots of die cut stars to the front to add a little extra interest.

I imported the cute vintage photographer digi stamp into my graphics program, then resized it to fit my project. The image was printed directly onto colouring card stock and trimmed down. The image was then coloured in using Copic pens.

Using my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine I created a little 'Watch The Birdie' frame from brown card, and glued the coloured image behind it. Funky foam was glued to the back of the frame and
attached to the card front. To finish my card I added a few enamel dots around the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp:  Watch The Birdie
Simply Print: Watch The Birdie

Copic Pens: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, E70, R30 / Camera Stand & Skirt - E50, E51, E53, E57 / Camera & Shoes - E40, 41, E43, E47, Y15, Y17 / Braces, Cap & Bowtie - R27, R29, R59, Y17 / Hair, Trousers, Bird - E31, E33, E35, E37 / Ground - E50, E51, E53 / Outline - C1

Other: 5" x 7" Black Card Blank, Make It Color Blending Card, 'Father Knows Best' (Old LOTV Paper Pad), 'Chocolate Brown' Card (Tonic), Star Dies (Die'sire), Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine, Funky Foam, Glue, Double Sided Tape, White pen
