Panorama Card

Good morning everyone

Because I've been visiting my step-dad in hospital (who's improving thankfully), and helping to look after my mum I haven't made a Design Team card today. So instead I thought I would share with you the Panorama Christmas card I made for them both.

Sorry for the photo quality peeps!!!

Here's What I Did
I die cut the panorama sides, 6" x 6" back square and a front frame. The panorama layers were also die cut using a village die and a sloping border die, and on each of the layers I added a small amount of pale blue Copic pen and some glitter to the edges.  Before assembling the scene I added snowflake paper onto the back plate, a flower border to the front frame and then on the front slopes I attached a reindeer and Christmas tree.  To finish off I added some blue gems and a die cut banner to the top corner. Look out for more Panorama cards in the future.

Here's What I Used
Cardstock (CS): Sheena Douglas Stamping CS, Forever Friends Paper (old stock), White glitter Card, Navy CS
Dies: Tattered Lace 'Panorama' Die Collection and 'Summer Edge', Xcut 'Village', Spellbinders Borderabilities 'Curved Border One', Marianne Design 'Christmas Tree', Die'sire 'Elegant Reindeer'
Other: Gems, Glitter, B000 Copic Pen, Computer Generated Sentiment
There will be more of my Design Team cards later in the week.

Thank you for dropping by and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Sweet Stampin - Say It With Flowers

Hellooooo, well it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.

Wow, I've been sat here crafting with all the windows open listening to all the birds tweeting away - it's been a beautiful day. So beautiful day hence 'wash day' :) basically if it stood still long enough it went in my washing machine and then hung on the line. Obviously the downside to this is the dreaded ironing, which I hate btw.  Apparently here this week it's going to be awful - rain and more rain, but as we know the weather peeps often sometimes get it wrong.  lol

Here's What I did
Here's how I made my cute girly card. I cut down a 5" x7" pre-scored card base slightly and took the top corners off to make a tag card, then echoed this with the pretty LOTV paper (I inked around the edges before adding it the card base). The pretty border was made using a Tonic punch and I added a paper ribbon strip to compliment her dress.  The flower was die cut using the same colour card stock as the border and to give it a lift I glued die cut lime green glitter card leaves underneath.

The Prima girl was stamped, coloured and cut out, as was her dress from again pretty co-ordinating LOTV paper, she was added to the card using foam tape. To finish I glued a ribbon in place and printed off my sentiments which were cut out in random shapes, inked and placed around her. I have to say I love, love, love these Prima stamps they're so girly, and up to now I've made quite a few cards using her and her friends - they're just so versatile!

Here's everything I used:
Stamp:  Prima Dolls #910198
Paper/Cardstock (CS): LOTV 'Promises', Papermania CS, Glitter CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dress - V02, V04
Dies: XCut 'Petal Posy', Tattered Lace 'Embellishments'
Other: Ribbon, Tonic Border Punch, Serif CA2

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our Say It With Flowers challenge we'd love to see you. REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card!

New Job Card

As I don't have a DT card to show you this week, I thought I would share the 'New Job' card I made for my beautiful daughter - she lives in London and has just landed a job in a theatre there as a Front of House member of staff.

I made the 8" x 8" card using one of the Xcut 'Build A Scene' die sets. Initially I had a problem getting my card stock out of the dies after cutting them out because some areas are so intricate eg windows.  After asking for help on one of the facebook group I belong to, I solved the problem - the cure was to wipe the dies with a tumble dryer sheet (not used), the dies then cut out and released the card stock like a dream.

The landscape was made using 3 different shades of grey card stock, plus some black, red and white cardstock to accent it the scene.  To finish off I die cut some clouds. The buses and some of the taxis where layered up to give it a little dimension.

Here's What I Used:
Cardstock (CS): Grey, Red, Black, White
Dies - Xcut 'Build A Scene' London, Joy! 'Clouds'
Other - Distressing Ink, Foam pads

My daughter loved it - which made all my hard work worth it apart from the fact that I paid 93p for first class post so she's get it the next day, and it took 2 days to get to her and was totally bent and twisted when it arrived. So I'm a bit annoyed!!!

Calling all Sugar Nellie Fans - there is a promotion over at Funkykits on digi and rubber stamps until the end of the month, so get yourself over there and grab a sugary bargain.

I'll been sharing my Sugar Nellie, Sugar Bowl and Sweet Stampin DT cards here next week.

REMINDER: It's the last week of the Design Team call out for Sweet Stampin' - it ends on Friday 30th May 2014 at 6pm gmt and the successful applicants will be contacted shortly after that.  We're a really friendly and fun bunch so why not give it a go we'd love for you to join us, all details are on our blog here.

Thank you for visiting.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Inspired By A....Book, Film or Song

It's Sweet Stampin' time for me again, and our theme this week is INSPIRED BY...A FILM, BOOK OR A SONG. I'd love you to join us and take part, in the fun - but just remember your project MUST include a stamped element. So to get you in the mood here's my card for you - I hope you like it.  I opted to make a box card and I chose 'Alice In Wonderland' and the Mad Hatter. I've also included a tutorial on how to made a box card to fit in an A5 envelop if you would like to use it.

Here's What I did
After creating my box and adding my papers to it. I die cut flowers attaching some to acetate strips.   I then printed off my digi stamps - the Mad Hatter, cups, teapots and cakes. I coloured them all in with Copics and also attached these to acetate strips. The quotes were printed and die cut and coloured with pan pastels.  The red & green small cups I drew myself.  Everything was then placed inside the box.  You'll also spot the odd playing card (including the Queen of Hearts) - these are actually mini cards from a Xmas cracker.

Click the link here to the Box Card Template I've created.  It's a bit lengthy sorry, but it does have illustrations.  You can open, download and/or save it. FYI, if you want to make the box height and/flaps slightly larger or smaller just increase or decease the measurements I've given you. Any questions just email me...have fun!

Here's what I Used:
Cardstock/Paper: White card, Neenah Colouring CS, MME 'The Sweetest Thing' paper Pad,
Copics:  E0000, E000, E00, E11, E35, R20, R30, C-0, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-5, Y00, Y02, Y08, Y17, R20, R27, R29, R32, YG03, YG11, YG17, B0000

My 1st Sugar Nellie Sweetie DT Challenge #107

Well here it is, my first ever DT post.

This sweetie is for Sugar Nellie's Sugar Bowl Challenge 107 - September 2013.  Hope you like it!

I've never made a tag before so I though hey-ho why not give it a go (OMG that rhymed). I made the tag myself, basically it's a rectangular piece of white card with a shaped top made by using a spellbinder die. The background was made with distressing inks, stamped flowers and words with a splash of glitter. It's hard to see but the stamped flower petals have had their colour removed - just by using a damp brush and a piece of kitchen roll.   I printed this gorgeous girl out 4 times, then coloured certain section of her in with Copics and Prisma pencils, and cut out them out and layered her up.  The doily edge was made with an XCut border punch that I only bought the other day - it's so dainty and pretty.

Here's what I used:
Digi stamp: Carnival Balloon by Krista Smith from Funkykits
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E01, E13, R20 / Hair - YR0000, E000, E13, E99, E37 / Purple Skirt & Socks - BV000, BV00, BV02, BV04, BV25 / Pink Dress - RV000,/ RV00, RV13, RV34, RV69 / Shoes/Belt - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13 /Eyes - RV0000, RV00, RV13 / Flowers - RV000, RV00, RV13 / Balloons - RV000, RV00, RV02, RV13, RV34, BV000, BV00, BV02, RV04
Distressing Ink: Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass
Background Stamp: My Minds Eye 'Tangerine 'Hello'
Border Punch: Xcut (don't know the name)
Die: Crafts-Too Frame 6
OtherCrystal Glitter, Ribbon (bought by my sweet daughter who paid a fortune for it in a London store), Gems, Buttons, Bakers twine

Why not visit the The Sugar Bowl and have a look at what the rest of my DT buddies have created, and why not join in with the challenge. It's open to everyone and the theme is 'Anything Goes' so why not give it a go. You can create anything you like but it MUST include a SUGAR NELLIE STAMP (either rubber or digi) otherwise it will be removed (sorry!).  Rubber stamps can be bought from Funkykits (UK) or Sugar Nellie (USA), digi stamps can be bought from either.

The prize for one lucky winner picked at random is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps from FunkyKits or 6 if there's more than 100 entries.

So come on 'you've got to be in to win it' - so get entering.

Hugs and Happy Crafting.
