Whimsy Stamps Design Team - January 2018 Release #2

Hi there 💜

Today I'm here to share the 2nd of Whimsy Stamps new January release digi stamps.  Both the pig and the sentiment are part of a sheet of other images and sentiments so it's good value for money. Isn't it the cutest pig ever!!

To show the little pig off I went for a CAS design and kept the colours simple. I coloured this over Christmas period while staying with my daughter so my pencil collection was extremely limited, but it does show that we can all colour using only a few pencils. All the links to the Whimsy products can be seen below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
The pig and sentiment were printed onto a piece of Kraft card and die cut it into a square. The pig was coloured in using pencils - the pencils were used to blend, no solution was used. White pencil was added first to give the highlighted area, then colour and shade were gradually added. To finish the image crystal glitter was added to the red heart.

The coloured in topper was matted onto some pink card, and a die cut frame was glued around the pig. The completed topper was attached to the 5" x 5" Kraft card base using foam pads to give it dimension.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamps: 'Love Me Tender' Digital Sentiment Sheet (this contains the sentiment and pig)

Other: Kraft Card, Pink Card, Inverted Scalloped Frame Die (Spellbinder), XXL Stitched Edge Square Die (Crealies), Foam Pads, Graphics Program, Lyra Pencils, Caran D'ache White Pencil

Little Miss Muffet Design Team Card (27th June)

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well good morning, it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet inspirational creation with you. I've gone really zingy and bright today - I guess I was inspired by seeing a little bit of sunshine here in the UK. :p

I had originally planned to colour up this sweet girly with my watercolour paints but I changed my mind. I had already I printed her onto watercolour card so I decided to use my pencils and Sansdor instead - watercolour card as a tooth on it so it gives a slight textured appearance when coloured. To finish my card off I stamped lots of tiny hearts and flowers and added a die cut flower.

The digi stamp I used is called 'Polka dot Pals - Petunia' and she's available from the Little Miss Muffet store here.

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut a piece of patterned paper to side and edged it with distressing ink and attached the A6 card blank. The image was printed onto the watercolour card and die cut into a small rectangle, and coloured with pencil and Sansdor (Sansdor is used to move the pencil lead around and promote blending, it gives a smoother finish).

Next I stamped tiny flowers and hearts around the main image and added glitter over the top. The finished topper was matted and layered onto complimentary card and attached to the card base.

To finish off I added white pearls, a die cut flower and a couple of leaves.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Polka Dot Pals Petunia' - available here
Paper/Cardstock (CS): A6 Scalloped Card Blank, Neenah Colouring CS, Trimcraft 'Wallflower' Paper Pad, Orange, Cream and Green CS

Sugar Nellie - Waiting For You

- Happy New Year Sugar Fans -
I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. To celebrate Christmas I travelled to London to stay with my gorgeous daughter because she couldn't come home due to work commitments, and my hubbie had to work all over Christmas period (he works away from home). Unfortunately it wasn't a great Christmas for me (sob!) because I contacted the flu on Christmas Eve and was ill all over the festive period and I'm still not over it completely. Blah!!
Anyway enough of my sad story...it's the first Wednesday in the New Year and my turn to share a Sugar Nellie card with you. For my CAS card this week I used one of the Furry Friends digi stamps called 'Waiting For You', it's available to buy from Funkykits. Definitely check them out as there's quite a few characters in the collection and include cats, dogs, rabbits etc and they're all very cute. To create my card I used a Kraft card base, Kraft card and pencils to colour this little sweetheart in with.

Sweet Stampin - Sparkle & Shine

Hello and good morning everyone ---

JUST A LITTLE ADDITION - SORRY IT'S LATE GIRLS!

Can I wish everyone on the Sweet Stampin' Design Team a very Happy 6th Birthday - we rock!!! :)

Well I don't know about you but I definitely saw a touch of the white stuff the other day (here in the UK). It was just as I headed off to my bed in the wee small hours that I noticed that there was a full blown blizzard quietly going on. I did expect to wake up to a few inches of snow....but NO it had totally disappeared into the night. Me thinks it was probably for the best :)

Anyhow it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Sparkle & Shine' - remember you MUST include a stamped element on your card/project.

For my CAS card this week I created a scene on watercolour cardstock using some of my new uber cute Purple Onion stamps and coloured pencils. I adore this stamp, I spotted it earlier in the year and ordered it from the USA in the summer; it's taken me all this time to actually play with it. The stamps are deeply etched in red rubber and stamp beautifully. Purple Onion have such gorgeous sweet characters - I love them.

Here's What I Did
I matted a 5" x 7" white scalloped card base with patterned paper. Next I stamped my cute image directly onto some watercolour card and die cut it into a rectangle. The image was coloured with Rembrandt Lyra pencils. The cloudy sky was created by using an old die cut cloud border then using it as a guide I coloured above it. The finished coloured image was attached to the right hand side of the card base, and glitter added to the dandelion clocks.

To finish off I made 3 fish tail banners from the patterned paper and attached them to the card together with a tag and die cut flower.

Here's What I Used
Stamp - 'Wishing' & 'Sunny Blooms' Purple Onion Stamps, LOTV 'Sentiment Tags'
Lyra Rembrandt Pencils - Sky/clouds - Light Blue, Prussian Blue, Dark Carmine / Mouse - Gold Ochre, Burnt Ochre, Venetian Red, Van Dyke Brown, Black Medium, Dark Sepia, Rose Carmine, Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine / Dress - Lemon, Canary Yellow, Light Orange / Tights - Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine, Black Medium / Dandelion Heads - Canary Yellow, Lemon, Light Orange, Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine, Rose Carmine / Dandelion Leaves & Grass - Apple Green, Moss Green, Dark Sepia, Canary Yellow, Sap Green
Dies - Crealies 'Stitched XXL Rectangle', Creative Expressions 'Camellia-Complete  Petals'
