Craftsulove Design Team - October Card #1

Morning everyone 💜

Today I'm sharing my October Craftulove Design Team card with you.

For my card today I've used one of Julie Hickey's new stamp set called 'Garden Treasures'. They're pretty stamps and stamp beautifully. In my card I have used both distressing ink and oxide to stamp with, and they work brilliantly. x

All the links to the specific Craftuslove products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I cut a piece of pink card to 5" x 5" and added it to a 5¼" x 5¼" scalloped card blank. I then cut a piece of watercolour card to 4¼" x 4¼", and lightly sprinkled pixie powders over the card then spritz it with water. When the card was dry I stamped the sentiment and then the foliage using both distressing inks and oxides inks in shades of pink. To add a litter extra glimmer I  flicked a little gold ink from the Nuvo pen over the top.

I added the finished topper to a piece of gold mirror card 4½" 4½" and added it to the card front using foam pads. To finish the card I added a few gems and gold glitter dots around the card.

Craftsulove Design Team - August Card & Tutorial

Hi guys💙

I'm back with another card and tutorial using products available in the Craftsulove online store.

This month I am highlighting a beautiful Christmas stamp by Woodware, a paper pad from Studiolight which has the most stunning papers inside, and a gold shimmer pen from Tonic's Nuvo range (find the links below).

You Will Need
(Products available from Craftsulove):
Framed Poinsettia’ WoodWare Stamp Set
‘Woodland Winter’ Paper Pad by Studiolight
Gold Midas Touch Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen

 From My Own Stash:
6” x 6” Card
Watercolour Card
‘Red Brick’ Distressing Ink
‘Peeled Paint’ Distressing Ink
‘Fossilized Amber’ Distressing Ink
Gold Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Gold Mirror Card
Double Sided Tape
Anti-static Bag
Heat Tool
Foam Pads
Gems

To Make The Card
1. Using one of the patterned papers from the pad, stamp and heat emboss the ‘Season’s Greeting’ sentiment down the left hand the side using gold embossing powder. Adhere this to the front of a
6” x 6” white card blank.
Tip
Before heat embossing your image and sentiment dust the surface of the paper/card you are using with the anti-static bag, this will remove any finger prints and grease residue.

2. Stamp and heat emboss the complete image onto another piece of patterned paper from the pad using gold embossing powder. Trim the stamped image down and mat onto gold mirror card.
3. Stamp and heat emboss a further 4 images onto watercolour card with gold embossing powder. Next colour segments of the images as mentioned below using the following technique.

Technique
Add distressing ink to a non-porous surface eg glass mat, stamping block, plate etc. Pick up the each colour using the gold shimmer pen, and paint as you would do with a paint brush. This will make the painted areas shimmer.

Where To Colour

4. On the 1st image fully colour the bottom leaf and around the edge of the top leaf using green distressing ink and the gold pen, Then add red distressing ink around the edges of the poinsettia again using the pen. Cut out the poinsettia and both leaves.

5. On the 2nd embossed image fully colour the top leaf with green distressing ink, and again add red distressing ink around the edges of the poinsettia using the pen. Cut out the poinsettia and the leaf.

6. On the 3rd embossed image only colour the poinsettia with red distressing ink using the pen, and cut out.

7. On the 4th image only colour the small centre section of the poinsettia with red distressing ink and the berries with the yellow ink all using the pen, and cut out.

8. Layer up the poinsettia and leaves using foam pads, then line everything up with the image on the topper, and add to the card front using foam pads.
9. To complete the card add gems to the berries and the 3 stars.

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Up In The Air

Morning my lovelies ðŸ’œ

I'm here with another My Mum's Craft Shop (MMCS) Design Team card for you. I've chosen one of the new stamp releases from My Favorite Thing (MFT). The stamp set is called   'Up In The Air', and it contains lots of very cute animals and some lovely sentiments - I will definitely be using this set again for more projects.

For my CAS card I used Zig Color pens and Brushos in the background (my first time using them). You might need your sunglasses on for this one. Lol...I hope you like it!

A little close up for you

Here's What I Did
First I matted a 5" x 5" card blank with a piece of pattern paper. Next I die cut a piece of watercolour into an oval, and stamped the puppy head onto it. The puppy was stamped again onto the sticky end of a post-it note, and cut out to create a mask. The mask was used to cover the puppy's head and the hot air balloon was stamped over the top (this places the balloon behind the puppy). Once the ink was dry I painted the whole image with a masking fluid and left to dry. The sentiment was stamped beneath the balloon.

Using a couple of different brusho colours I lightly sprinkled them over the oval and spritzed it with water to make the colours move - I added more brusho where required. I took off any excess water using a piece of rolled up kitchen roll, and left it to dry out. The puppy and hot air balloon were coloured using watercolour pens; the yellow stripe on the balloon was pulled out using a glitter pen instead of water, and actual glitter was added to the white stripes.

The completed image was glued to a white die cut oval and attached to the card front using foam tape. To finish off I added a few pearls at the top and bottom of the card.

Here's What I Used
Stamps: My Favourite Thing  'Up In The Air'
Paper Pad: My Favourite Things 'Dots & Stripes Confection'

If you wish to purchase any of the above items from My Mum's Craft Shop and an item is out of stock it's because it's been very popular, so simply email/ring the shop to make an order. Thank you.

My Mum's Craft Shop - Guest Designer Project #2

Hi everyone ---

I'm here this morning with another Guest Designer card for My Mum's Craft Shop (MMCS). For my 2nd card I've chosen one of the new releases stamps from My Favorite Things (MFT), this little cute is called Pure Innocent 'Showering You With Love' and she's available from Kitty's shop. Hope you like it....thanks for looking 💖 (Blogger is having a little fun this morning, so sorry if my text and pics are a bit funny). x

Here's What I Did
First I die cut a square (mainly because I'm rubbish at cutting squares lol), then using my Misti I stamped the whole using waterproof ink. Next I painted over the little girl, umbrella and ducks with masking fluid (as an alternative you could create a paper masks).

When the fluid was dry I added distressing inks over the background starting off with my lightest colour finishing off with black. Using a brush I splattered water all over the square, left it for a minute and sponged off the excess with a paper towel. When the background was dry I gently rubbed off the masking fluid and coloured the image in with watercolour pens. I splattered clear glitter pen everywhere including the characters to give a rain effect.

The sentiment was stamped in the top right corner and embossed with white power. Then to finish off the whole scene was added to a black 5" x 5" card blank, and white dots were added to the umbrella and her wellies.

Here's What I Used
Stamps: My Favorite Things (MFT) Pure Innocent 'Showering You With Love'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Black Card, Crafter's Companion Watercolour Card, Green Glitter Card
Zig Clean Colour Pens: Flesh Color, Orange, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Beige, Pale Green, Light Green, Blue Gray, Light Gray, Persian Blue, Brown, Light Pink,
Other: Foam Tape, Distressing Ink (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Black Soot), Pebeo Masking Fluid, Splatter Brush, White Pen, Spectrum Noir 'Clear Overlay' Glitter Pen, Versamark Ink, White Embossing Powder, Ranger Black Archival Ink, Punched Flower

Sweet Stampin' Card - Embossing

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Thank you for your lovely messages of support and condolences regarding my step-dad, they were very kind and meant a lot to me.

It's been a few weeks now and it's nice to get back to a little bit of crafting. :) Unfortunately my mojo took a bit of a hit while everything was been going on, but thankfully it's starting to come back now. I've now started taking my crafty stuff to my mum's so I can colour while I'm there, which is great :)

Anyhoo, it's Saturday and Sweet Stampinday - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Embossing' - so this could be dry embossing, heat embossing or using embossing folders etc on your project, as well as the necessary stamped element. Basically whatever floats your 'embossing' boat! So come on, what are you waiting for?

So for my CAS card I used a beautiful flower stamp which I stamped and embossed, and then watercoloured.....very simple. By the way this is a large stamp, isn't it pretty :) I made these cards for my mum to give to people who have helped her over the past few weeks.

To enter the challenge and a chance to win a prize please REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card, follow our theme and then link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog.
Have fun and good luck!

Here's What I Did
First I die cut a  piece of white watercolour card into a square. Next I stamped the large flower into the bottom corner of the card with Versamark ink using my Misti Tool. White embossing powder was added on top of the wet ink then heat embossed. The embossed image was then coloured in using my new watercolour paint from Kuretake. To add extra texture and eliminate some of the starkness of the white areas of the card I splashed paint everywhere - I did make sure I masked the flower first to protect it.

When everything was dry I stamped the sentiment in Archival black ink (waterproof ink) at the top right of the topper. The finished topper was then matted onto a pink die cut frame and added to the 6" x 6" white card base using foam pads. To complete the card I added a few small white pearls.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Hobbyart 'Peonies', Hero Arts 'Spring Hello By Lia'
Watercolours: Kuretake - Gansai Tambi - #30, 32, 51, 53, 58
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Square', Tattered Lace 'Pearl' Square
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 62 x 62 White Scalloped Card Base, Watercolour CS, Pink CS
Other: Misti Tool, Versamark Ink, Archival Ink (Black). White Embossing Powder, Pearls

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Embossing' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

This week's prize is Live & Love Crafts

Thank you so much for dropping by and why not leave me a message to say hi :)
