Lili Of The Valley - Spring Collection

Hi everyone

I hope everything is good with you, and you're keeping safe. So today I've created a variation on a theme. I took the pink Lili Of The Valley Easter card I created for my previous post and literally turned it round. Basically I created a larger card using the same digi stamp 'Spring Bloom', same dies but used a different colour palette, used watercolour pens instead of Copics and added a different sentiment. Tada! I now have a pretty 'Thank You' card instead of an Easter card. So easy! I hope you like it. x

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
First I trimmed down a piece of pink patterned paper and attached it to the front of a 6" x 6" card blank. Next I die cut a fancy square from white card and added glitter to the corners, then rotated it and glued it flat to the centre of the card front.

I imported the sweet little bear digi stamp, then resized it to fit my project. The bear image was then printed directly onto watercolour card, and die cut into a circle. The image was coloured in using watercolour pens and finished off with a few pencils. The completed images was attached to a aqua coloured fancy die cut circle, then funky foam was glued to the back. The completed topper was added to the centre of the white die cut square.

The 'Thank You' digi sentiment was printed onto white card and cut out, a die cut framed was placed over the top mounted onto the card front. To finish the card I added a few pearls.around the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: Spring Bloom
Digital Sentiment: Spring Mix 32 Sentiments

Zig Clean Color Pens: Bear - Beige, Light Pink, Blue Grey / Dress & Butterfly - Cobalt Blue, Pale Green / Flower & Plant Pot - Cobalt Blue, Pale Green, Light green, Brown, Yellow, Bright Yellow

Other: 6" x 6" White Card Blank, Watercolour Card, 'Promises' Paper Pad (LOTV), White Card, Aqua Card, Double Dot Circle Dies (Crealies), Stately Circle Die (Spellbinders), New York Collection - Union Square Die (Creative Expression), Oval Word Window Frame (MFT), Prismacolor Pencils, Glitter, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Pearls, Funky Foam, Gold Glitter Pen

Craft Consortium - Essential Paper Pad Launch

Hi everyone πŸ’œ

I have some exciting new, I am now a member of the Craft Consortium Design Team. Woo hoo!! I actually started a few weeks ago, but as you know I've been on holiday. The company is a family run business and was founded in 2013 by Terry & Sue Lennon. The company is award winning and concentrates on papercrafts and home dΓ©cor, their products are of a premium quality. This is the link to their website -- https://www.craftconsortium.com/

Well today (17th May) they launched a fabulous selection of Essential paper pads on Create & Craft with grunge and texture effects. The designs, colours and quality of the pads are simply superb. I will be creating cards and projects with some of the papers from the pads, along with other collections that have been released. So watch this space.

Anyhow, here are my cards using papers from the 'Light Tones' Grunge paper pad. I hope you like them. All the links to the specific Craft Consortium products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.
Card #1
Card #2
Light Tones' Grunge Paper Pad
Here's What I Did
Card #1 - firstly I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper to 4¾" x 6¾"and covered the front of my white 5" x 7" top fold card blank.

Next I die cut a frame from pink card using 2 rectangle dies. Using a stamping platform I stamped out the giraffe onto watercolour card using black waterproof ink. When the ink was dry I coloured the giraffe in with watercolour pens and water. I trimmed down the stamped panel and and cut around the the tips of the giraffe's ears. The pink frame was glue over the top of the stamped panel apart from the ears which were poked out over the top of the frame. White funky foam was glued to the back of the framed panel to raise it up and then added to the card front.  To complete the card I added a die cut sentiment and heart cut from the same pink card.

Card #2 - I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper to 4½" x 4½" to cover the front of my own 4¾" x 4¾" card blank leaving a slim border around the edge. I made sure that the paper had the blue tones at the top right and orange tones on the bottom section to replicate a sunset/sunrise. Next I trimmed down a piece of black card to 4¼" x 4¼" and die cut the scenic frame into it. The frame was glued into place onto the card front, and gems were added to the birds eyes to complete the card.

I used
Paper Pad: Craft Consortium - 12" x 12" The Essential Craft Papers' Paper Pad Collection (used 'Light Tones' pad)
Stamp: Pink Ink Designs 'Giraffe' (#1)
Dies: Sizzix Phrases, Sweets, Donuts (#1), Creative Expressions 'Noble - Double Pierced Background (#1), Clarity Stamps Fresh Cuts 'The Happy Couple' (#2)

Other:
5" x 7" White Top Fold Card Blank, 4¾" x 4¾" Black Card Blank, Crafter's Companion Matt Black Card and Watercolour Card, Funky Foam, Hunkydory Mattastic Card, Double Sided Tape, Gems, Zig Clean Color Pens

Craftsulove - August Card #1

Morning everyone πŸ’œ

Today I'm sharing my August Craftulove Design Team card with you.

So for this card I'm using the ever so cute Owl stamp set 'Owl My Love' by My Favorite Things (MFT) and some of the BoBunny Early Bird 'Notes' patterned paper in the background. I stamped the characters onto watercolour card and coloured them with watercolour pens.

All the links to the specific Craftuslove products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I covered the card front with a trimmed down piece of the 'Notes' paper which I edged with black distressing ink, leaving a border around the edge.

The owls, branch (which I extended) and the sentiment were stamped onto watercolour card and cut out. A small circle was die cut from white watercolour card and lightly coloured with blue and yellow watercolour pen, to make it moon like. I die cut a large black circle and trimmed off a little from one side. All the pieces were glued onto the black circle and any excess was trimmed off.  The circle topper was added to the card front using foam pads.

To complete the card, I added 2 circles punched from black card to the right hand side of the card..

Available from Craftsulove
Stanps: 'Owl My Love' by My Favorite Things (MFT)
12" Paper: 'Notes' from the Early Bird Collection by BoBunny

My Own Stash:
5½" x 5½" Black Card Blank, Watercolour Card, Circle Die, Black Card, Foam Pads, Distressing Inks (Black Soot), Zig Clean Color Pens. Circle Punch, Verasafine Black Ink, Foam Pads, Glue

Why not, follow us on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram or on our YouTube Channel we'd loved to see you.

Thank you so much for dropping by, don't forget to say hi :)  I'll be back on the 30th with a new project/tutorial....so see you then. TTFN!

Whimsy Stamps - May Release #2

Hi everyone πŸ’œ

As promised I'm back today with another new release from Whimsy Stamps. This little beauty is a digital stamp called 'Unicorn Daydreams' which I coloured using watercolours and pencils. To enhance this beautiful lady I added a pretty sentiment from a set launched last month and one of the Envelope Edger dies also from Whimsy Stamps (there are 4 dies in the set so they're fabulous value).  I think she's totally magical --- I hope you agree. x

All the links to the specific Whimsy products can be found below and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
The front of a 5" x 7" top fold card blank was covered with pretty patterned paper from my own stash. The unicorn and sentiment was printed directly onto watercolour card and trimmed down to fit the width of the card blank. The bottom edge of the watercolour card was cut using the Envelope Edger die to create a pretty scalloped bottom.

The unicorn image was coloured with Zig Clean Color pens, Gamsai Tabi paints and a few coloured pencils. When the image was finished tiny hearts were stamped around the unicorn with pink ink. Crystal glitter was added to some of the hearts and the unicorn's horn, and glitter pen was added around the unicorn's body to give it a little shimmer. The completed panel was added to the top section of the card front.

To complete the card silver glitter enamel dots were attached to the bottom right of the card front.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: Unicorn Daydreams
Digital Sentiment Stamps: 'Birthday Wishes'
Whimsy Die: Envelope Edgers

Other: 5" x 7" Top Fold Card Blank, Zig Clean Color Pens, Gamsai Tabi, Spectrum Noir Pencils. Watercolour Card, Garden Treasures Paper Pad (Hunkydory), Silver Glitter Enamel Dots, Picked Raspberry Oxide Ink, Clear Overlay Glitter Pen (Spectrum Noir), Crystal Glitter, PowerPoint; Printer, Merry Kisses Stamp (Neat & Tangled),

Our new challenge (#105) started on the 15th April, so why not come and join us. There a  fabulous $15 prize to win and the theme as always is #Anything Goes'. Here is the link for you, so come on what are you waiting for!
