Craft Consortium - Faeries Lotus

 Hi There

Well, I’m finally sharing another of my cards using the Fairies stamps. I’m so sorry for the delay but I’ve been poorly, and I guess life just got in the way.  Anyhow, this card was made using the ‘Lotus’ stamp and some paper from one of the Ink Drop pads, which I coloured using Copic pens. (see links below)

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Notions Marketing. You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

This Is What I Did
I die cut down a piece of patterned paper from the Ink Drop paper pad to fit the front of a 5" x 7" white card blank. Next I stamped the lotus onto colouring card with black ink, and coloured it with Copic pens. I stamped the flower again onto masking paper and fussy cut them out. The masks were placed over the stamped flowers, and blue distress ink was applied over the top. Gold paint was splattered over the top.

When everything was dry it was die cut with an arched window die, then mounted onto a slightly larger shape cut from green mirror card. Funky foam was added to the back of the topper to give it dimension, and then mounted onto the card front. To finish the card, I added gold pen to the flowers and stamped a sentiment.

Craft Consortium - Faeries - Crouch

 Hi there

Craft Consortium recently released a new collection called 'Faeries' in association with Lavera Grace. The collection includes paper pads, stamps, and embellishments. It was initially released on Hobbymaker TV, but it is now available on the Craft Consortium website.

The card I'm sharing today is showcasing the 'Crouch' stamp, which I used alongside with some of the flora and fauna stamps. Using a jar stencil from my stash I created sweet faerie scene.

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Scrapbooking.com (this is in the process of being set up). You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

This Is What I Did
I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the 'Organic' paper pad to cover the front of a 5" x 7" white card blank. Next I die cut a piece of watercolour card and added my jar aperture mask, With black waterproof ink I stamped the faerie into the centre of the jar, then stamped her again onto masking paper which I cut out. After covering the faerie with the mask I added several colours of distress ink to create a wistful background. Whilst the mask and stencil were in place I continued to stamp lots of flora in the background, and added colour using distress reinkers.

When the background was dry I removed the faerie mask and coloured her using distress reinkers. Highlights and light orbs were added using white paint and a white pen. When everything was dry I carefully removed the jar aperture stencil, and lightly placed the jar stencil over the top of the coloured jar and added colour around the jar. The completed scene was mounted onto green mirror card and onto the centre of the card front.

To finish the card, I added glitter to the faeries wings, a few dew drops and 3 butterflies which were stamped, coloured and fussy cut out.

Distress Re-inkers & Ink Used - I used a huge collection of colours so email me for the list if you would like it.

Craft Consortium - Leather Bound Collection #1

Hi everyone

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I've re-joined the Craft Consortium Design Team, which I'm absolutely thrilled with. The company is a British family run business and they are a wonderful company to design for.  Craft Consortium's products are always extremely high quality and stunning to look at. Definitely check them out!

So for my first post I'm sharing 2 of my latest projects made using the wonderful stamps and papers from the newly launched 'Leather Bound' collection (see above). For my creations I teamed the collection up with a few papers from the 'Vintage Emporium' paper pad, mirror card and a few gold pearls. The collection will suit all types of project especially those difficult masculine ones, but for my cards today I decided to give them a feminine twist and add flowers to one and use a heart die and paper piece on the other. I think the colourway in the pad is perfect for those people who don't like pinks and blues etc. You can find the collection on the Craft Consortium online store (see the link below).

This collection and other collections are available from the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Notions Marketing. You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.
Card #1

Card #1
This Is What I Did (card #1)
I stamped coffee strains and water mats onto a piece of patterned paper from the Leather Bound 6" x 6" pad, then trimmied it to fit the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, I left a slim border around the edge.

Next I die cut a fancy frame 3 times - 3 x kraft card and 1 x pattern paper. The kraft card die cut frames were glued together. Using the journaling sentiments I stamped 'Family' with Versamark ink onto the paper frame, added gold embossing powder and melted it. The frame was then glued onto top of the kraft card frame, and added to the centre of the card front. Using a beautiful flower die set I cut out several flowers and leaves from papers in the pad, and arranged them around the left hand side of the card. To finish the card, I added gold adhesive pearls to complete the look.

Other Things I Used:
6” x 6” White Card Blank, Gold Glitter Card, 'Be Bold Blooms' Die Set (Spellbinders), Square Fancy Frame (Polkadoodles), Peeled Paint Distress Ink, Kraft Card, Versamark Ink, Gold Embossing Powder, Black Hybrid Ink, Double Sided Tape, Glue

Card #2

This Is What I Did (card #2)
I trimmed down a piece of patterned paper from the 'Leather Bound' pad to fit the front of a 6" x 6" scalloped card blank. I stamped 'Love Life' on the bottom of the paper with black ink, and punched out the corners. I splashed the area with watered down gold paint, when it was dry I glued it to the card front.

Next I die cut the heart design from white card (back) and it's accompanying floral cut out (front) and glued them both together. Using several of the papers from the 'Leather Bound' pad, the 'Vintage Emporium' pad and some gold mirror card, I die cut all the elements I needed and paper pieced them in place. To give more dimension I die cut 3 more 'backs' and glued them together to the back of the heart front, and adhered the whole thing to the card front. To finish the card, I added gold adhesive pearls to complete the look.

Other Things I Used:
6” x 6” White Scalloped Card Blank, 'Triple Step Blooming Heart' Die Set (Concord & 9th), Corner Rounder, White Card, Gold Acrylic Paint, Black Hybrid Ink, Double Sided Tape, Glue

So here is my next card made using another of the sets; this cute cat is from the 'Sweet Wishes' set. I used Copic pens to colour with, and die cut a pretty floral pattern at the top of the oval. The oval was mounted onto lilac card and onto white card. I then set about paper piecing the flowers and leaves using the same patterned paper, glitter and gold mirror card. The image was then coloured with Copic pens. Funky foam was added to the back of the oval topper to give it dimension and glued to the centre of the card front. Lili Of The Valley - Happy Christmas #2

Good Morning

I'm back again, as it's pre-order day of the new Lili Of The Valley (LOTV) 'Happy Christmas' polymer stamp set. To pre-order them simply head to the LOTV Etsy store (link below) and if you like and wanted them, simply order away. To give you a little more inspiration, on my card today I merged 2 of the stamps together to create a snowy scene, which I coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I hope you like it. x

Next I printed my digi sentiment onto my colouring card and hand stamped Father Christmas (FC) underneath it. FC was stamped again onto masking paper, and fussy cut out. The masks was placed over the top of the stamped FC and the tree was stamped next to him; the mask was removed. A line was drawn across the bottom to ground everything. The scene was coloured using Primacolor pencils.

The finished scene was die cut into a circle and mounted onto a pierced circle, cut from red card. The completed topper was adhered to the centre of the fancy frame.

To finish the card, I added white dots to FC's cheeks and eyes, several white die cut stars and a little glitter to the star.

Lili Of The Valley - Polar Christmas #1

 Good Evening

Hi everyone, I'm delighted to be back sharing some of Lili Of The Valley's new Christmas polymer stamps sets. I will be sharing a few over the next few day, and I'm starting with this little cutie from the 'Polar Christmas' stamp set. I used a lilac colour scheme as I always think it's really fresh and modern; I kept the design CAS (Clean & Simple). To colour my little penguin scene I used Copic Pens. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed down a piece of lilac dotty paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

The penguin was stamped onto colouring card, then onto masking paper. The penguin mask was fussy cut out and placed over the top of the stamped penguin. The mountain scene was then stamped over the top (so that the mountains appear behind the penguin). The mask was then removed, and everything was coloured with Copic pens. The sentiment was stamped up in the right hand corner.

The scene was die cut with a square postage stamp frame and mounted onto lilac card. The completed topper was added to a slightly larger postage stamp frame cut from white card. Funky foam was added to the back of the topper, and glued to the card front. To finish the card, I added glitter to the snowy areas and a few pearls around the sentiment.

Polymer Stamp Set:

Lili Of The Valley - Panda #2

Good Morning

I'm spreading the 'panda love' again today, using another of the new 'Panda' stamps from Lili Of The Valley. As I mentioned yesterday the panda's are available as both polymer stamps and digital stamps, and can be purchased as single stamps or in bundles (see below for info). They have now launched in their store....so grab yours To colour my cute panda I again used pastel pencils as they're a really quick medium to use. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed down a piece of purple patterned paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. Then glued a fancy white doily die cut into the centre.

The panda, butterfly and sentiment was stamped onto mixed media card. Everything was coloured with pastel pencils. The finished scene was sprayed with a fixative to ensure the pastel wouldn't smudge. The scene was die cut into a circle and mounted onto a lilac scalloped frame. Funky foam was added to the back. The topper was glued to the card front. To finish the card, I added white pen to the panda's eyes and nose, and a few pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - Panda #1

Good Morning

Hi everyone, I'm back again highlighting Lili Of The Valley's brand new stamps sets. Today I'm sharing a card I've made using one of the gorgeous 'Panda' stamps. The panda's are available as both polymer stamps and digital stamps, and can be purchased as single stamps or in bundles (see below for info). They have now launched in their store. To colour my little panda I used pastel pencils, and kept the card design fresh and clean. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed down a piece of bright green patterned paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

The panda and sentiment was stamped onto mixed media card, then onto masking paper. The panda was fussy cut out and placed over the top of the first bear. The bamboo was then stamped over the top (to give the illusion that it sits behind the bear). The mask was then removed, and everything was coloured with pastel pencils. The finished scene was sprayed with a fixative to ensure the pastel wouldn't smudge.

The scene was die cut into a square postage stamp frame and mounted onto pale green card. The topper was added to a slightly larger postage stamp frame, cut from white card. Funky foam was added to the back and glued to the card front. To finish the card, I added white pen to the panda's eyes and nose, and a few pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - Bee #2

 Happy World Bee Day

As I mentioned yesterday I will be sharing some sneak peeks of brand new polymer stamps coming soon from Lili Of The Valley. For today's card I'm helping to celebrate 'World Bee Day' by using another of the bee stamps, which launched today. x

I'll be back in a few days to share more Lili Of The Valley cuteness - the pandas. :)

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I die cut a piece of lovely orange patterned paper into a square with a postage stamp frame die, and glued it to the front of a 5" x 5" card blank.

Next I stamped the bee and sentiment onto watercolouring paper, and coloured it with distress re-inkers. With a white pen, dots were added to the hearts. When the ink was dry it scene was die cut into a heart

Funky foam was adhered to the back of the topper and glued to the centre of the card front. To finished the card I added glitter to the bee's wings along with a few pearls at the bottom.
