My Mum's Craft Shop Design Team - June Project #2

Hi there everyone 💜

I'm here today to share my card for 'My Mum's Craft Shop' (MMCS) Design Team with you. As the shop will be closed for a few months there won't be anymore for a little while from MMCS. However I will still be making my projects using various products and techniques so I will share them as and when I've completed them. So I hope you keep visiting my blog. 😄

For my card today I've created a CAS card using dies and a stencil all from My Favorite Things, plus a few sequins.  Hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
First I cut down a piece of Kraft card 4¾" x 4¾" and added colour using a stencil and distressing ink. When dry the stencilled topper was matted onto some gold mirror card 5" x 5" and added to the 5¼" x 5¼" card base using foam tape. The word 'Friend was die cut from the same gold mirror card as the mat and glued in place on top of a strip of white parchment on the card front.

To completed the card, sequins were die cut from gold mirror card and added along with tiny silver and white sequins around the sentiment.

Here's What I Used
Stencil: My Favourite Thing 'Split Diagonal'
Dies: Die-namics My Favourite Thing 'Friends' and My Favourite Things 'Sequins'
Paper & Cardstock (CS):  5¼" x 5¼" Card Blank, Kraft Card, Gold Mirror Card

Other: Foam Tape, White Parchment, Tea dye Distressing Ink, Sequin

My Mum's Craft Shop Design Team - May Project #2

Hi again everybody 💜

Yes, I'm here as promised with another of my My Mum's Craft Shop (MMCS) Design Team cards for you.  To create my CAS I simply used Brushos and the cute little dies from My Favorite Thing (MFT) called 'Birdhouses' When I looked at the dies I just felt that they needed to be made into silhouettes ---  so that's exactly what I did. I have to admit to loving the little bird sat on top of the houses - it's so sweet. There were 2 birds on my card but one seems to have flown away. Lol  I used Brushos for the background. Hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
The 6" x 4½" card base was cut to size to create a top folding card, then a piece of paper was glued to the front.  The background was created using Brushos, water and watercolour card, which was then die cut and added to a black die cut mat. The topper was glued flat to the card front.

The birdhouses were die cut from black card and white glitter card. The legs of the bird houses were cut from black card instead of the die cut ones to make them appear taller. The sentiment were die cut from white card and stamped in black ink. Everything was added to the card front using foam tape and glue. To complete the card I added a few sparkly sequins.

Here's What I Used
Stamps:  My Favorite Thing (MFT) 'Birdhouses' and  'Label Maker Sentimental'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Black Card, Watercolour Card, White Card, MFT 'Dot's & Stripes Confection' Paper Pad

Other: Brushos, Tonic Die Set, Archival Ink, Foam Tape,

If you wish to purchase any of the above items from My Mum's Craft Shop and an item is out of stock, simply email/ring the shop to make an order and Kitty will help you. Thank you.

Why not, follow us on Facebook group, Pinterest or on our Blog we'd loved to see you.

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Got The Blues?

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime...yay!!

So I'm here to share my latest Design Team Challenge card with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Got The Blues?' I had to think about this one though, so after a little umming and arring (I think I've spelt those right) I decided to create a picture in shades of blue inside a frame. The fab little bird and house are from an MFT stamp set that I've had for months but never got around to using. The glittery 'hello' sentiment was made using some beautiful blue glitter card and a fab die from Diamond Press (available from Crafter's Companion). IRL this is super sparkly but hard to capture on camera. Thanks for looking 💖

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I covered a 6" x 6" card blank front with pretty patterned paper. Next I die cut a fancy circle from white card and 2 pieces of funky foam, these were all glued together to create a frame. I did the same thing for the 'hello' sentiment - one layer cut from blue glitter card and one from funky foam, and glued together.

From watercolour card I die cut a circle and added distressing ink around the edge and into the centre, leaving some areas white. I over stamped the background with splodges and splashes to give a tone-on-tone effect, and then added splashes of glitter pen.

I stamped the bird, butterfly and house onto the watercolour card circle making sure I left sufficient room fore the 'hello' sentiment. The images were then water coloured and glittered up using pens. The frame was glued onto the background circle and the sentiment was then glued on the inside.

To complete the card, the topper was added to the card front and sequins and gems were added.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: MFT 'I'm Tweet On You', MFT 'Distressed Pattern'
Dies: Diamond Press (from Crafter's Companion) 'Hello & Butterflies', MFT Die-namics 'Stitched Circle Scallop Frame'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 6" x 6" Scallop Card Blank, Sheena Douglass White Stamping CS, White Funky Foam, Blue Glitter CS, Crafter's Companion Watercolour CS, LOTV 'Shabby Shack'
Zig Clean Color Pens: Persian Blue, Cobalt Blue
Leonie Pujol Sparkle Pens: Ice Drop, Aquamarine
Other: Gems, Sequins, Black Fineliner Pen

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Let It Snow

Good morning to you all.

Well, it's that time again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' day!!

Our theme this week is 'Let It Snow' - so I thought I would dust off one of my favourite wooden stamps; it's from Whipper Snapper and I've had it for years and it stamps beautifully. I decided I didn't want to make a card this week so I used this large MDF bauble tag that I bought a few weeks ago, it's made up of a circle back and a separate frame in which you can add a picture. It only cost a 99p so it was a bargain.

My stamped image was coloured with Copic markers, and the Northern Lights background was inspired by a lovely and extremely talented lady called Sandy Allnock. I'm not sure if it works or not, but I'll definitely be giving it another go as it was very liberating and I enjoyed doing it lol. If you get the chance definitely search for Sandy's blog and You Tube videos - they're amazing.

Here's What I did
Bauble - I covered the front frame with glitter glue using my fingers and sprinkled loose glitter where I missed certain places, and let it dry for an hour.

Topper - I stamped and coloured my image with Copic pens. The background was achieved by lightly adding different colour pen strokes from the bottom (snow line) upwards and then strokes downwards from the top of the image, varying them in length and intensity.  The rest of the image was coloured afterwards to avoid contamination.  To finish off the topper I added glitter to the snowy areas and white pen in the sky for snowdrops.  The topper was then stuck onto a red card mat and attached to the bauble back.  The front frame was then glued to the back sandwiching the topper between. To finish off I threaded ribbon through the top hole, added a few die cut snowflakes, gems and a bow.

Here's everything I used:
Stamp: Whipper Snapper 'Think Snow'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Glitter CS, Neenah, Red CS
Copics: Snowman & Snow - B0000, B000, B12 / Penguins & Snowman Hat - C1, C2, C3, C5, C7 / Snowman Hat & Scarf, Penguins Hats, Snow Letters - R14, R17, R20, R37, R59 / Sign, Penguin Feet & Beaks, Snowman's Nose, Hat & Scarf - Y00, Y08, Y17, Y38 / Background - BG01, BG10, R20, R22, R37, BV000, BV02, BV04, G03, B12
Dies: MFT Die-namics 'Snowflakes', Tonic Layering 'Circles'
Other: MDF Bauble, Glitter Glue, Serif CraftArtist2, Glitter, Docraft Gems, Ribbon, White Pen

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Let It Snow' challenge we'd love to see you. REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card! Have fun :)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - To Die For

Good morning to you all.

Well, it's here again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time and the theme this week is To Die For.  The theme requires that you use at least 1 die along with a stamped element on your card or project. This theme is right up my street, it combines my 2 loves stamps and dies --- sssh, don't tell my hubbie!. Lol :)

I decided to share the Halloween card I made for my daughter - it's kind of a tradition with us as I make her a card every year. She loves Halloween, it's one of her favourite times of the year. My daughter really doesn't do cute so when I spotted this fab image from Mo Manning I knew I had to use it plus it reminded of a witchy character in a film my daughter likes. Of course I used the now traditional Halloween colour combo --- purple, orange and black.

Here's What I did
I used a 7" x  7" card base and matted it with black card. The orange and purple card mats were die cut in the middle to create an inverted frame. I used 2 dies - 1 of which was slightly smaller than the other to create the frame. Using CraftArtist 2 I added my digi stamp along some sparkle which I placed above her, along with some text. When I was happy with my layout I printed it out and coloured the stamp with Copic markers. The completed image was then matted behind the purple and orange cardstock and added to my card base. To finish off I added some die cut flowers, ribbon and a splash of glitter.

Here's everything I used:
Stamp: 'Hocus Pocus' by Mo Manning
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Craftwork Cards Super smooth Digital CS,  Basal Black, Orange & Purple CS
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E02 / Hair & Cloak Trim - YR000, YR00, YR02, YR04 /  Dress - V01, V09, V12, V15/ Cloak - C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100 / Broom - E33, E37, E38 / Ground - W0, W1, W2, W3 / Earring - YG17
Dies: Go Kreate 'Large Frilly Frame #8' , MFT Die-namics 'Flower & Leaf Trio' and 'Prima Donna Petal'
Other: Serif CraftArtist2, Glitter, Ribbon, Button, Sharpie Gold Pen,

So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'To Die For'challenge we'd love to see you. REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card!

Sweet Stampin Challenge - Take Flight

Phew, hasn't it been hot and sticky lately - even the typical British rain hasn't given any relief.  But I suppose we shouldn't complain too much because before we know it, it'll be cooler and wetter and we'll be complaining that it's too cold.  Lol, we're never happy are we!!!

Anyhoo, it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.  This week our theme is 'Take Flight' - basically that means anything that flies or has wings ie butterflies, balloons, aeroplanes, fairies etc.

For my card  this week I decided to use the digi stamp I won a recently over at Sassy Cheryl - I won one of her 'Show Me Thursday' challenges.  This little cutie is called 'Maddie Is Flying High' and it's available from Sassy Cheryl's online store here.

Here's What I did
I used a 6" x 6" dark brown card base (made myself) and matted it with patterned paper. The digi stamp was printed directly onto Neenah CS and die cut into a square. I also printed a further 3 copies of the image to cut out later.  Before colouring Maddie I carefully created a cloud effect using a template and some distressing ink.  Next I coloured the background areas of the base image with Copics, and then coloured in some of the areas on the 3 extra images which I fussy cut out. The cut out sections were layered up onto the base image using foam pads. To finish off I die cut a few little flags and added a few buttons on top.

Here's everything I used:
Digi Stamp: Maddie Is Flying High' by Sassy Cheryl
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Neenah CS, Brown CS, My Mind's Eye 'Tangerine'

SUGAR NELLIE -- Scrapberry's 'Our Summer'

Good Morning Sugar Peeps!

Wow, I can't believe it - another week has gone by and we're in July already. OMG where has this year gone, but the upside is that my cruising holiday to Alaska is getting closer. Yey!! Anyway back to reality :)
Anyhoo, it's Thursday and my turn to share my Sugar Nellie DT card with you.  This week's card is another one made using the Scrapberry stamps available from Funkykits -  this sweetie is called 'Our Summer'.

Here's What I Did
This week I decided to use my distressing inks and pens to colour this pretty stamp, and I think they compliment her beautifully. I wanted a CAS look to my card so I kept my embellishments to a minimum. To create my 6" x 6" card I matted and layered up some pretty LOTV papers. The lilac square was die cut using a MFT die, and on top of this I added my completed image with the corners punched out.  The 'friends' text was also die cut and glued to the back of my image - both were added to the square mat. to finish off I added dots using my pearl wand plus a touch of glitter to my lettering. The paw print badge was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.
Here's What I Used
Stamp: Scrapberry's 'Our Summer' available from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Papermania CS, Crafters Companion Watercolour CS, Lilli Of The Valley (LOTV) 'Promises' and 'Bonnets & Bowties' Paper Pads
Distressing Pens & Inks: Various
Dies: Die-namics MFT Blueprint '3'
Other: Glitter, Silhouette Cameo Machine, Xcut Corner Punch, Black Fineliner, Pearl Wand

Sugar Nellie - Under The Sea

Hello Sugary Peeps!

It's my turn to share with you one of the many stamps from the Sugar Nellie range over at Funkykits or the Etsy store. So for my DT card for this week I thought I would pick something a little but different for me.  This pretty rubber stamp is called 'Under The Sea', isn't she cute.

Here's What I Did
I used an 5" x 5" card blank and pretty First Edition paper in the background. I have to admit I was out of my comfort zone with the underwater side of things, so I tried to keep it simple. So after colouring the gorgeous mermaid and her turtle friend with Copics, I swept across the background firstly with my palest shade of blue, then I added blue green shades getting a little darker each time. I then added lots of different size dots using the same pens colours as in the main characters. To finish I added a die cut flower and some leaves to the corner, plus a little glitter to her pearls.
Here's What I Used
Rubber Stamp: Sugar Nellie 'Under The Sea' available from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Aqua CS Papermania, Neenah Colouring CS, First Edition 'New Blooms', Glitter CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Fishtail & Turtle - BG10, BG13, BG15 / Top - V000, V01, V04 / Turtle Shell - E33, E35, E53 / Pearls - Y35 / Background - B0000, B000, B00, BG10, BG13, V01, V04
Dies: Die-namics MFT 'Blueprint 8'
Other: Glitter, Sequins

Hellooooo, well it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.

If you live in the UK I hope you've all enjoyed the May Bank holiday despite the awful dreary weather. I'm ashamed to say my heating got turned back on last weekend and it was my hubbie who turned it on --- so if he's cold, it must be cold  :-)

Another CAS card for you. After printing out my cute digi stamp from Mo Manning onto Neenah card stock, I die cut it into a square and coloured the image with Copics and matted this onto my 5" x 5" Kraft card base  To add a little embellishment I die cut a sentiment and some brown card with my banner die and attached it to the top of the card and finished it off with a little pink heart..

Here's everything I used:

Here's What I did
I thought I would keep it CAS this week with simple matting and layering with a die cut flower. I did however print off a few extra images of the digi stamp, coloured portions of it in and fussy cut them out, and layered them up. To finish off I added a little glitter, a few gems and sequins - and oh yes some glossy accents to her glasses.  The digi image and sentiment was set out using CraftArtist 2 before printing and die cutting out.

Here's everything I used:
Digi Stamp:  'SB Firemen Call' by Bugaboo Digi Stamps
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Papermania Coloured CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair: YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dress, Shoes, Hat - RV14, RV21, RV23, RV34 / Cake - YR20, YR23, YR31, RV000, RV21
Dies: Die'sire 'Leaf 1', Dienamics MFT 'Blueprints 3 & 8'
Other: Serif CraftArtist 2, Glitter, Gems, Sequins, Glossy Accents

Sugar Nellie - Candy Pip

Helloooo and good morning!

Well my lovely hubbie treat me to a few days in York last week to celebrate my birthday, and the weather was glorious -- sunny and warm. I couldn't believe my luck!  We only live about an hour away so I go quite frequently, but we don't usually stay over but on this occasion we did and it was lush.  The hotel was so handy - 5 mins from the Minster and the shops, plus it was so quaint, we even had a 4 poster bed and very creaky floor boards :).

We had such a wonderful and relaxing time --- but we were exhausted from all the walking and climbing the stairs to our 2nd floor bedroom. I also had a great time stocking up on my crafty goodies, well I had to spend my birthday money didn't I  :-)

Anyhoo, it's my turn to show you one of the many stamps from the Sugar Nellie range over at Funkykits. So here's my DT card for you using rubber stamp  'Candy Pip', isn't she a cutie.

 Here's What I Did
The gorgeous sunny April weather inspired me to create a fresh and bright card. I used a white 6" x 6" card base, and matted it with both plain purple CS and my patterned paper.  I then die cut 3 circles, the plain and scalloped strips and the flowers. Candy Pip was stamped 3 times, coloured with Copics and fussy cut out. I then added her, the strips to create a little ledge for her to sit on and flower using foam tape to give a little dimension to my card. To finish off  I doodled around the circle, and added some gems and my punched out butterflies.

Here's what I used:
Rubber Stamp: Sugar Nellie 'Candy Pip' available from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): , Cream, Purple and Lilac Papermania CS, First Edition 'New Bloom'
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30 / Dress, Shoes, Flowers - V09, V12, V15, V17 / Striped Jumper & Socks - BG10, BG13, BG15 / Flower Centres - Y00, Y17
Dies: Die-namics MFT 'Blueprint 3 & 8', Tonic 'Layering Circles & Scallop Circles'
Other: Serif CraftArtist 2, Mini Butterfly Punch, Copic Black Fineliner Pen, Gems

Sugar Nellie - Bad Hare Day

Good morning everybody, I hope you are all enjoying the spring weather.

It's my turn this week to show you one of the stamps from the Sugar Nellie range over at Funkykits. So here's my DT card using this cutie digital stamp ‘Bad Hare Day’.  The originally plan was to repaint my new wooden heart shaped hanging thingy to showcase my stamp along with bits of paper, stamped images, flowers but I had a nightmare. I'm not really much good glue and tend to get it everywhere but where I want it...well I had the same nightmare with blue paint. I‘ve now come to realise up-cycling wooden objects might need a tad more practice and a lot more play time ---- and possibly better acrylic paints.  My hubbie just shakes his head. LOL
Aw well, I might give it another try for my next project - well maybe!!.
Anyhoo, back to this week's DT card --- after doing a crafty detour I’ve created an 8 x 8 Easter card scene.  I like to use different mediums as you know, so this week I decided to use my Prisma Pencils  as they were gathering dust in their tin box - I did however use my Copics to add a base layer before using my pencils.

Here's What I Did
I attached some gorgeous glittery aqua coloured card onto my white base card and punches out 2 borders and added them to each side.  I used the same aqua coloured card as the background (sky) and base of the scene, From the same paper pad I cut out a few green hills in different directions and added distressing ink on the edges.  These were layered up onto the background (sky) card, and I placed a few of the glittered stickers from the pad around the scene and added my girl image.  I die cut the picket fence, bird table, bird and clouds and attached them to the card.  To finish off my scene I added a little glitter, the sentiment and some punched out flowers and butterflies around the image.

Here's what I used:
Digital Stamp: 'Bad Hare Day' available from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): , Blue, White & Cream CS, First Edition 'Spring Drop''
Prisma Pencils & Copics: Skin - E0000, Light Peach, Peach, Burnt Ochre / Cheeks, Lips & Rabbit Ears - R000, Blush Pink, Pink, Magenta / Rabbit - E000, Beige, Gingeroot, Burnt Ochre / Hair - Y000, Lemon Yellow, Canary Yellow, Golden Rod, Spanish Orange /  Dress (Green) - YG11, Spring Green, Apple Green, Grass Green / Dress (Blue), Shoes, Eyes - B000, cloud Blue, True Blue, Light Cerulean Blue, Copenhagen Blue, White
Dies: Die-namics 'Blueprint 8', Marianne Designs ' LR0205', Joy! 'Clouds'
Other: Mini Buterfly Punch, Serif CraftArtist 2, White Gel Pen, Glitter, Mini Butterfly Punch, Flower Punch
