Hello and good morning everyone ---
Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampin' time....yay!!
So this week our fab theme is 'Tags (Make Or Use One)'. So for my Design Team project I decided to create a Christmas tag....I know, I know....I said the 'C' word. But to be fair it's April (and erm, nearly my birthday) and we're forecast snow tomorrow. I don't know, I guess it's just crazy UK weather. Apparently it's been fabulously warm in the South, whereas here in the North (East) it's freezing. Brr!
Anyhoo, don't forget to grab your stamp and make a card or some kind of tag (with it or on it), and join in with the fun.
Soooo, for my tag I used a little Lawn Fawn penguin and created a little snowy scene, with glitter and snow. Are you cold yet!

Soooo, for my tag I used a little Lawn Fawn penguin and created a little snowy scene, with glitter and snow. Are you cold yet!
Here's What I Did
First I die cut a scalloped circle from blue card, then die cut 2 more circles from white card. To create the sky layer I used one of the circles and sponged shades of blue distressing ink all over it. When the ink was dry I spritz it with clean water and left it for a few seconds then dabbed it off the excess water with a piece of kitchen towel, this created water spots that look like snow fall. When dry I added more dots of snow with a white pen and attached it to the scalloped circle.
The 2nd white circle was die cut with a curved die to create a hill, and the penguin's ice skating trail was stamped directly on top. The circle was glued on top of the sky layer. To create the trees I simply used the unused portion of the white circle and cut out 3 triangles then glued them on the snowy hill.
The penguin was stamped, coloured with Copics pens, then cut out and added to the tag using foam tape. To finish off I added glitter and die cut pink hearts around the tag.
Here's What I Used

Love this xxx
Janine, I utterly LOVE this hunny! This sweet round tag is such an eye pleaser! I love the shape, the scalloped edge and gorgeous blues. The inky sky looks utterly fabulous. Love the sweet mountain scene and of course the star of the show, that utterly gorgeous wee pingu on her ice skates. Every little detail is perfect. Love the wee scattering of hearts showing how 'in her bliss' this wee ice skating sweetie is. It's just an utterly gorgeous creation. Hugs, Wends x
Oh my goodness Janine....... I really LOVE this cutie little penguin from Lawn Fawn, and you've made a wonderful tag with him! LOVE how you did the sky with the DI's... and the whole design is perfect in my eyes!
Hope you didn't get much snow - I saw on the news it actually was in the Midlands too.. we missed it here in Yorkshire, but it's bitter outside today!
Big hugs
