LMMS - Inspiration Card (Monday 30th)

Heeeellllloooo!

Good morning everyone, well it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet Design Team creation/inspiration with you. As you will see from my previous post I'm just starting to get back into my crafting again after losing my step-dad.

My mojo needed a little push and this little sweetheart did the job - isn't she just adorable! Her name is 'Sonny Honeycloud Cards & Cupcakes' (super cool name of what?) and she's available from the Little Miss Muffet store here.  I instantly knew when I spotted her that I wanted her dressed in pink and blue, teamed up with a striped background. I hope you like it :)

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut down a piece of white card and stamped it with blue ink using a large bold striped stamp, this was then cut down to fit the front of my card base. Next I printed my image directly onto colouring card stock and die cut it into rectangle; the image was then coloured in using Copic pens. To add a little extra detail around the image I die cut a few stars into it and stamped random mini shapes in coloured ink. Everything was then attached to the card base. To finish off I added glitter to the cupcake topping, hearts and the stamped shapes.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Sonny Honeycloud Cards And Cupcakes' - available here
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Neenah Colouring CS, 6" x 62 Card Base

Sweet Stampin' Card - Embossing

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Thank you for your lovely messages of support and condolences regarding my step-dad, they were very kind and meant a lot to me.

It's been a few weeks now and it's nice to get back to a little bit of crafting. :) Unfortunately my mojo took a bit of a hit while everything was been going on, but thankfully it's starting to come back now. I've now started taking my crafty stuff to my mum's so I can colour while I'm there, which is great :)

Anyhoo, it's Saturday and Sweet Stampinday - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Embossing' - so this could be dry embossing, heat embossing or using embossing folders etc on your project, as well as the necessary stamped element. Basically whatever floats your 'embossing' boat! So come on, what are you waiting for?

So for my CAS card I used a beautiful flower stamp which I stamped and embossed, and then watercoloured.....very simple. By the way this is a large stamp, isn't it pretty :) I made these cards for my mum to give to people who have helped her over the past few weeks.

To enter the challenge and a chance to win a prize please REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card, follow our theme and then link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog.
Have fun and good luck!

Here's What I Did
First I die cut a  piece of white watercolour card into a square. Next I stamped the large flower into the bottom corner of the card with Versamark ink using my Misti Tool. White embossing powder was added on top of the wet ink then heat embossed. The embossed image was then coloured in using my new watercolour paint from Kuretake. To add extra texture and eliminate some of the starkness of the white areas of the card I splashed paint everywhere - I did make sure I masked the flower first to protect it.

When everything was dry I stamped the sentiment in Archival black ink (waterproof ink) at the top right of the topper. The finished topper was then matted onto a pink die cut frame and added to the 6" x 6" white card base using foam pads. To complete the card I added a few small white pearls.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Hobbyart 'Peonies', Hero Arts 'Spring Hello By Lia'
Watercolours: Kuretake - Gansai Tambi - #30, 32, 51, 53, 58
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Square', Tattered Lace 'Pearl' Square
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 62 x 62 White Scalloped Card Base, Watercolour CS, Pink CS
Other: Misti Tool, Versamark Ink, Archival Ink (Black). White Embossing Powder, Pearls

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Embossing' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

A Sad Day!

Hi everyone

Sorry for the lack of post recently but my step-daddy of 30 years sadly passed away on Friday after a long battle with heart failure. He was a brave man and a tough cookie, who always faced each medical problem (and he had a lot) with sheer determinate and bloody mindedness. He never complained or moaned about anything. He was a true inspiration and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

You will be missed Frankie Biff.
We love you loads.
RIP

I won't be posting any cards for a little while so I can concentrate on my
mum - so keep safe and be happy!

Hugs

Little Miss Muffet - Inspiration Card (2nd May)

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well good morning, it's Monday and my turn to share a Little Miss Muffet creation/inspiration with you. My card unfortunately reflects the horrible weather we've been having lately....rain!  But I decided to create a pretty and bright rain card lol (if there's such a thing).

I have to say I loved making this card, I just think it's so cute - I hope you like it too. I used Polka Dot Pals Rayne and coloured her with Copic pens, I then used a die to create the raindrops, making sure I hung a few from her umbrella.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut down a A5 card to create an A6 card base. I matted this with patterned paper, a strip of white and then pink card. Next I printed the image directly onto my colouring card stock and cut it out using my Scan 'n' Cut machine, this was then coloured using Copic pens. The finished image was added to the card base using foam tape directly on top of the puddle which was created using strips of foil shimmery paper.

To finish off I added lots of die cut rain drops, and clear glitter to the umbrella and buttons.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Polka Dot Pals Rayne' - available here
Paper/Cardstock (CS): A6 Card Base, Neenah Colouring CS, Pink & White CS, Trimcraft 'What A Hoot' Paper Pad, Foil Shimmer Paper
Copics: Umbrella,Wellies - RV000, RV00, RV02, RV10, RV21, RV23, R32, Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y17 / skin - E000, E00, E11 / Coat, Hair Bow - Y00, Y02, Y06, Y08, Y17 / Wooden Toy - Y00, Y02, Y08, Y17, E31, E33 / Hair - C2, C3, C5, C7,100

Sweet Stampin' - Water (April Showers)

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Water (April Showers)'  which echo's the UK weather perfectly. Mind you it's more like winter here rather than spring, so maybe it should be renamed as 'Snow (April Showers). Lol. So turn up your heating (unless you live in warmer climes) and grab your stamp and make card or project and join in with us.

So for my card I used a stamp from our sponsor this week - Robyn's Fetish. This gang of cuties is called 'Five Little Froggies' and you can find the digi stamp here. I coloured the image with Copic Pens...even the sky.

Here's What I Did
I matted a 7" x 7" white scalloped card base with a trellis die cut square from patterned paper and an identical sized square from green card. Next I printed the image directly onto colouring card stock and die cut it into a smaller square to fit the shape underneath. I coloured the image with Copic pens and a clear glitter pen on the roof.  The finished image was layered onto the mat underneath using foam tape.

To complete the card I added a flower, a couple of die cut leaves and a few gems.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Robyn's Fetish 'Five Little Froggies'
Copics: Frogs & Grass - YG00, YG01, YG03, YG17, YG23 / Sky - B0000, B000 / Stones - W0, W1, W2, W3, W5 / Wood - E31, E33, E35 / Roof - R02, R22, R27, R32, R59
Dies: Tonic 'Trellis Squares', MFT 'Blueprint 14'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Trimcraft 'Party Animal' Paper Pad, Green CS
Other: Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen, Gems, Flower Embellishment, Cloud Template (Cut by moi!)

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Water (April Showers)' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

Little Miss Muffet - Challenge Card (#136) - 25th April

Good morning everyone!

Well it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet creation with you for our fortnightly Challenge #136 . I decided to use a cute Cuthbert digi stamp for my card this week - this one is called 'Cuthbert For You'. I thought it would make a brilliant 'thank you' card - so that's exactly what I did.

I used my Scan 'n' Cut to cut him out (no border) and colour him with copic pens. I kept the background simple by embossing white card with a mask and using distressing inks to colour the raised area - it just adds a bit of interest in the background instead of patterned paper.

Don't forget to join in with our fortnightly blog challenge here - the theme is 'Anything Goes'. Come on, what are you waiting for, remember you don't have to use a LMM stamp to enter either. We'd love to see your creations.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I embossed a piece of white card using a stencil, while this was still in place I sponged a little distressing ink through the apertures. The polka dots were then coloured over with a clear glitter pen, and when dry I matted the card onto navy card, and then onto the card base.

I really find stencils very versatile, especially for this method as well as masking. I tend to use plastic stencils rather than embossing folders as they usually come in eg 6" x 6" or 8" x 8" sizes which is great as I tend to make a lot of square cards.

Cuthbert was print cut directly onto some colouring cardstock, cut out using my Scan 'n' Cut machine and coloured with Copic pens. When finished the image was attached to the card base using foam tape to add dimension. The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto navy card using white embossing powder; this was then cut into a fishtail banner and attached to the card front.

To finish off I added a few gems, and used a clear glitter pen on the bouquet unfortunately this hasn't shown up very well in the photo - IRL it's very sparkly.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Cuthbert For You' - available here, Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): A6 Card Base, Neenah Colouring CS, Navy CS, White CS
Copics: Fur - E50, E51, E53, E57 / T-Shirt - B000, B02, B05, B18 / Bouquet Flowers - B0, V04, V12, Y00, Y02, Y35, YR04, YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67, G02, G07 / Wrapping Paper - Y000, Y00, Y02, Y35, B000, B00, B02
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Rectangle
Other: Creative Expressions 'Polkadot' Mask, Distressing Inks, Brother Scan 'n' Cut, Foam Tape, White Embossing Powder, Spectrum Noir 'Clear' Glitter Pen, Gems

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration Card (18th April)

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well good morning, it's Monday and my turn to share a Little Miss Muffet inspiration with you. I have to say I pawsitively love this little kitty, isn't it cute.  To create my CAS card I used Elisa's Kitty and my Aqua markers on watercolour card; I added a touch of glitter to finish. I wanted to keep the card nice and simple so the kitty would be the focal point. I added a few tiny stamped bits around the kitty to fill in the white space - these were then filled with glitter.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
I printed the kitty image directly onto the watercolour card and coloured it with SN Aqua markers, this was then die cut into a circle. I stamped tiny shapes around the image, coloured them and added glitter.

Next I matted a 5" x 5" cream scalloped card base with patterned paper (after I finding a paper that would compliment the colours I used in the image). I die cut a fancy circle and attached the kitty topper and added it to the card base.

To finish off I stamped and embossed a sentiment in cream embossing powder and attached it in front of the topper with foam pads, along with a heart shaped button.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Elisa's Kitty' - available here
Stamps - MFT Die-namics 'You Have My Heart', Concord & 9th 'Love You, Mean It'
Paper/Cardstock (CS):Watercolour CS, Brown CS, 5" x 5" Scalloped Cream Case Base, Dovecraft 'Floral Muse' Paper Pad
Spectrum Noir Aqua Pens: Fur - Fawn / Inside Ears, Nose, Swirls & Hearts - Blossom, Scarlet / Background - Aquamarine / Neckerchief - Scarlet, Burgundy
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Circle', Tonic 'Have A Beautiful Day - Circle Frame'
Other: Glitter, Button, Bakers Twine, White Embossing Powder, Foam Pads.

My Blog Candy Win!

Hi everyone

I wanted to say a big thank you to Wendy (Kiwi Mama). I recently enter her blog candy competition....and guess what.....I won. Yipee!

I never win anything normally as I'm just not lucky in that way, so this was a big deal to me. What I received from Wendy was amazing, in fact there's that much I had a bit of a problem fitting everything into shot. There's also a $20 Saturated Canary voucher (not in the shot) that I still have to spend (SC are sadly closing their online shop in August this year...sob!).

So Wendy my sweet friend, thank you so much. Everything is wonderful and pretty, and I can't wait to use them or pass them forward.

Hugs

Sweet Stampin' - Tags (Make Or Use One)

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime....yay!!

So this week our fab theme is 'Tags (Make Or Use One)'. So for my Design Team project I decided to create a Christmas tag....I know, I know....I said the 'C' word. But to be fair it's April (and erm, nearly my birthday) and we're forecast snow tomorrow. I don't know, I guess it's just crazy UK weather. Apparently it's been fabulously warm in the South, whereas here in the North (East) it's freezing. Brr!

Anyhoo, don't forget to grab your stamp and make a card or some kind of tag (with it or on it), and join in with the fun.

Soooo, for my tag I used a little Lawn Fawn penguin and created a little snowy scene, with glitter and snow. Are you cold yet!

Here's What I Did
First I die cut a scalloped circle from blue card, then die cut 2 more circles from white card. To create the sky layer I used one of the circles and sponged shades of blue distressing ink all over it. When the ink was dry I spritz it with clean water and left it for a few seconds then dabbed it off the excess water with a piece of kitchen towel, this created water spots that look like snow fall. When dry I added more dots of snow with a white pen and attached it to the scalloped circle.

The 2nd white circle was die cut with a curved die to create a hill, and the penguin's ice skating trail was stamped directly on top. The circle was glued on top of the sky layer. To create the trees I simply used the unused portion of the white circle and cut out 3 triangles then glued them on the snowy hill.

The penguin was stamped, coloured with Copics pens, then cut out and added to the tag using foam tape. To finish off I added glitter and die cut pink hearts around the tag.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Lawn Fawn 'Winter Penguins'
Copics: Penguin Body - C3, C5, C7 / Beak - Y00, Y06, Y17 / Scarf & Boots - RV10, RV13, RV14
Dies: 'Crealies XXL Double Stitch Circles', Crealies 'Scalloped Circles', Joanna Sheen Signature Dies 'Bunting', Lawn Fawn 'Simple Stitched Hillside Border', MFT 'Blueprint 8'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Blue, Pink and White CS, Neenah CS
Other: Glitter, Distressing Ink 'Tumbled Glass, Brokwn China, Faded Jeans', White Pen, Thread, Hole Setter

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Tags (Make Or Use One)' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss Week

- Hello Sugar Fans -

Good morning everyone!
As you may know the Design Team now have themed weeks, and this week is 'Gorjuss'.
So for my Wednesday card I'm using this pretty little girl minus her pigeons.  I used the larger version of the stamp for my card, which is called 'On Top Of The World'; there is also a mini version here available.  Both stamps sets and lots of other Gorjussness can be bought from Funkykits.
Now if you read my previous post you will know I had a issue with colouring an image first and then trying to find card and papers to match, which was a nightmare. Soooo guess what? Yep, I did it again lol.  Erm, in my defence I did already have her coloured up...in fact I coloured her last year but I totally forgot which papers I'd chosen to go with her. So again, I spent forever trying to find pretty papers that would compliment her. Will I never learn!! Lol...probably not ? :)
Anyhoo, I coloured her with distressing inks onto watercolour card, and cut her out using my new favourite toy....my Brother Scan 'n' Cut. I used a simple background so she would 'pop' of the page, and then accented the papers with black.  Hope you like it :)

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=91_148

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted the scalloped card base with pretty patterned paper, which I'd edged with distressing ink. The image was stamped directly onto watercolour card and coloured with distressing inks. The finished image was then cut out using a Scan 'n' Cut machine (no border).

Next I cut to size a piece of patterned paper and black card which I die cut it using a curved die, edged it with distressing ink and attached it to the card base. I stamped a sentiment in the top left corner and attached the Gorjuss girl using foam tape to add dimension.

To finish off I added glitter to the sentiment and a few black gems.
Here's What I Used
Stamps: 'On Top Of The World' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits (there is also a mini version - the link is above the photos), Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Watercolour CS, Black CS, 5" x 5" Card Base, Trimcraft 'Secret Garden' Paper Pad
Distressing Ink Pens: Skin - Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick / Hair - Wild Honey, Tea, Dye, Vintage Photo / Pinafore & Tights - Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss / Underskirt - Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade / Dress - Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans
Dies: Lawn Fawn 'Simple Stitched Hillside Borders'
Other: Black Gems, Clear Glitter, White Pen, Distressing Ink Pad
