Sorry I've not posted anything for a while but I've just been so pre-occupied, as there's been a few health issues surrounding my step-dad, and as a result had to have is leg amputated...bless him.
I will post some cards hopefully by the weekend.

Silver Wedding Couple
I made this for my mum and step dad who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last week. Congratuations to you both !!!
My mum has never had a 25th anniversary because we sadly lost my dad when he was only 41 - they were married for 21 years.
The gorgeous drawing is a digi image from Mo Manning (Mo's Digital Pencil), which I printed out a few times, coloured with pro and flex markers, then cut out and layered up. The matted and layered mounts were made from silver mirra card and white cardstock which I stamped and embossed with silver swirly leaves. The edges of the white embossed card were cut using my new babies - my Grand Calibur and Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies (all bought by my lovely hubbie as a treat - kiss kiss Tony!!) Each layer was lifted up using foam pads and finally I added a flower and a silver swirl.
Here are the rest of the details:
Promarkers: Warm Grey 4, Cool Grey 2 & 4, Blossom, Rose Pink
Flexmarkers: Blue Grey, Light Fawn, Pale Blossom
Spectrum Pens: Blue Grey 1, Warm Grey 0.5, 1 & 3
Sakura Glitter Pen: Pink
Edgeabilities Die: Classic Bracket
Equipment: Grand Calibur
Stamps: Clarity Stamps - Large and small Leafy Swirl / Silver embossing powder
Digi Image: Kisses for my sweet-C (Mo's Digital Pen)
Flower: Sizzix 3 Flower Layer Die / Worn Lipstick Distressing ink
Swirl: Marianne Creatables
Cardstock: Snow white Neenah, C & C silver mirra card, Scalloped 8 x 8 card
Thanks for visiting my blog - hope you like it. I'd love you to leave me a comment - good or bad!!

Super Mini
I've just finished this motoring card for my mum to give to my brother, who's mad about cars.
Stamp: Kanban Retro Cars
I stamped the car 4 times, coloured, cout out and then layered up on foam to give dimension.
Materials Used:
Promarkers: Satin, Berry Red, Crimson, Cool Grey 1 & 4, Warm Grey 4 , Black
Pen: Sakura clear glaze pen
Ink: Memento Black, Demin Blue Distressed Ink
Nestibilites: Circles
My brother lives in Cornwall so I googled a map for the background, and then using my graphics program I added a text bar to place the greeting.
I hope you like it and thanks for visiting.
New Blog Pages
Hi everyone. I've just added a couple of new pages to my blog.
The first one 'My Tips & Hints' will included any tip and such like that I find on my blogging and website travels that I personally find useful and think you will too! The second page 'Useful, Brilliant Websites & Blogs' will be exactly that. I'm such a hoarder and blog walker that I have a big collection of sites and blogs in my Favourites folder (collected over the past 5 yrs) which I've found either really interesting, useful or have simply inspired my card making that I thought I would share them with you.
I also plan to included a list of online stores that sell digi images and papers etc (again I have a huge list), plus videos and site for card making, Inkscape and for the Cricut. But please be patient with me as I have a big list and I have to copy and paste each sites link individually and not as a group as I originally planned to do....best laid plans eh!

Sweet Roses....Sweet Friend
I made my latest 8 x 8 creation yesterday for my mum to give to her friend. She wanted a 'pretty card' with a friend poem on it...and well I love green and pink together.
I made the swirl roses myself...my first attempt..yey! I added a blob of glitter to the centre, mainly because I didn't have any pearls or gems big enough.
I distressed the edges of the paper and poem label with the Egg Plant ink. Also using the ink I stamped the swirly leaves onto the poem and background paper...gorgeous.
I punched out lots of leaves in green glitter card and also in white card and then coloured then using the same Egg Plant ink. Finally I added a large pink glitter swirl and punched daisy flowers.
I wanted a pretty but fresh look, and hopefully I achieved it. It went in the post today, so I just hope she likes it.
Materials I Used:
Paper: Digichick (gorgeous kit)
Leaves: Martha Stewart punch
Flowers: Daisy punch
Ink: Eggplant Adirondack
Nestibilities: Label 4
Hougie Board
Swirl: Marianne Swirl Die
Stamp: Clarity Stamp's Swirly Leaves
Thanks for looking.

PS A quick update...my stepdad is still in hospital, but today he looked a whole lot better. His breathing and cough has definitely improved and there's talk of home coming home at the end of the week. So fingers crossed!!!!

Happy 18th Birthday Alice
Here are 2 cards I made for my lovely niece Alice who turned 18th last week, and who is off to start university life in York in a weeks time.
I made her first one using a Hunkydory kit I bought a while ago, I'm not really keen on the kit but I'm happy to say the card came out quite well. I added glitter, gems and a sentiment. Thankfully Alice loved it!!
I made the 2nd one for my daughter (Heather) to give to her, it's a variation on the 'Girly, Girly' card using my cricut. The only 2 changes I made was that I cut out the '18' with my cricut and triple embossed it to give it a glossy effect, and the other was that I raised the girl and boxes up off the page with foam pads...much better me thinks. :0)
For the materials I used see the 'Girly Girly' card.
Hope you like my card creations, and thanks for visiting.

Bad Time
Hi everyone, sorry I've not posted any cards lately but it's been a terrible 2 weeks, my step-dad was rushed into hospital 2 weeks ago with heart failure. They discharged him on Monday (29th Aug) but yesterday we had to rushed him back in again with breathing difficulties, it now looks like he's got a chest infection, thankfully it's not pneumonia (and it stays that way).
Unfortunatey my mum's not very good on her feet and relies on a wheelchair to get about which someone has to push. So yesterday I went with her, and we were stuck in A & E for almost 4 hrs before he went onto a ward and where we spent another hour....omg you forget how tiring it is just sitting. Plus we'd had nothing to eat for 9hrs, as we didn't dare go and get anything just in case they moved him...we were passing out by the end of the night.
Well that's my moan over with now. I'll post my last few cards over the weekend if I get chance.
Thanks again for visiting.
