Amanda Jayne Designs - Easter Tilly

Hi there

I have another lovely Easter card to share with you today. This time I created a shaped free standing card using Easter Tilly from Amanda Jayne Designs. The 5½" tall shaped card was made with the help of my electronic cutting machine. The image was coloured with Copic pens and her dress was paper pieced. Below the pictures I've tried to explain how I made, but there were quite a few steps in the process, so if you have any questions please let me know (either email me or leave me your email address in the comments). I hope you like it.

Even though I have created a 3d version of Tilly, she would look equally as pretty flat onto a card or even decoupaged up.

For your information, here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
Using my Silhouette electronic cutting machine I imported 'Easter Tilly' into my software, and resized her sufficiently so that I would be able to duplicate her and create a top fold card.

To make the shaped card base -- I selected the image and then used the 'Trace' tool and told it to trace the outer edge of it to create a cutting line. Using this outline I used the 'Offset' tool to create a slightly large outline (this was so I would have a slim border around her when she was glued in place). I duplicated the offset image and flip one of the images vertically. I moved the flipped image up so that the ears were slightly touching and made sure they were perfectly inline with each other and of equal distance. I selected them both and welded them. I added a dashed line (fold line) at the section where the ears met. I cut this out from strong white card.

Easter Tilly - The girl image and the original cutline were moved back onto my on-screen mat and then printed out with registration marks. The printout was placed onto my actual cutting mat and cut out. I coloured in her skin and hair with Copic pens. For her dress I printed out a sheet of the Easter paper, then put it back in my printer and printed the image straight onto it. I fussy cut out the dress and glued it in place on the image. The completed image was glued onto the shaped card base.

To finish off I added a little glitter to her hair band and the ribbon around her dress.

Amanda Jayne Designs - Easter Bunnie

Hi there

I have a lovely little Easter bunny card to share with you today. I used the free Easter bunnie digi stamps which is being offered over on the facebook group Kit & Clowder from Amanda Jayne Designs. So if you're not already a member, why not head over to the group and get joining. FYI, there's also a video on how to use digi stamps. I've teamed the cute bunnie up with one of Amanda's digi papers from the Easter bundle set, and one of my own sentiments. All the links are below. To add colour to the images I used my watercolour pens. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
First I created a shaped card blank by die cutting a 8" x 8" pre-folded white card with a fancy edged die. Next I printed the Easter egg design paper onto some white card, and die cut it with the same die as before. The patterned card was glued onto the card front.

I imported the Easter bunnie and sentiment into my software, and resized them to fit my project. The scene was printed out onto watercolouring card, and then die cut into a  fancy square to match the card blank. The image was coloured with watercolour pens.

The completed picture was glued onto a fancy yellow mat and then onto the card front. To finish off I added a few die cut hearts and a little glitter to the bow around the egg.

Lili Of The Valley - Leaping Bunnies

Morning everyone

I'm sharing my latest card that will hopefully get you leaping into April like these little bunnies. The sweet Easter bunnies are from Lili Of the Valley's new March collection. For my card today I used the digi stamp version, but the image is also available as a pre-coloured Simply Print.

The bunnie stamp I used is called Leaping Bunnies; I partnered it with a sentiment from the Spring Mix of 32 Sentiments collection. I used Copic pens for the bunnies and distress inks in the background. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please )

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I cut to size a piece of pretty pink patterned paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6"card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

Using my software I imported the cute bunnies and the sentiment, then resized them both to fit my project. The scene was printed onto colouring card and die cut into an indented square. The bunnie image was printed again onto masking paper and fussy cut out. The cut out bunnies and eggs were placed over the images on the colouring card, a stencil was placed over the top of the scene and pink distress ink was apply through it. When the ink was dry the masks were removed and the scene was coloured with Copic pens.

The finished scene was mounted on a pink square mat then onto a white scalloped square mat.  Funky foam was added to the back of the completed topper, and then glued to the centre of the card front.
