Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Design Team Card - December

Good afternoon everyone 💜

I'm here again to share my Whimsy Stamps Design Team Inspirational card with you.  Today my card doesn't contain any colouring t all, as I wanted to show off one of the stunning digital papers designed by Tracy Wray.  I simply printed my paper and layered it up onto silver mirror card and then added by die cut sentiment then sprinkled a few snowflakes and stars around. This concept is so easy and great for batch making cards, especially at this time of year. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Used
Digital Papers: 'A Winters Night' Paper Collection
Other: 6" x 6" Scalloped Card Blank, Black Card, Silver Mirror Card, Graphics Program, Black Funky Foam, Sizzix (Tim Holtz) 'Retro Merry Christmas' Die, Lawn Fawn 'Mini Snowflake' Die, Pa\per Smooches 'Space' Dies

What I did
I cut a piece of silver mirror card to 5½" x 5½", then resized the patterned paper in my graphics program to 5½" x 5½",printed it out and trimmed it to fit the mirror card which were added to the card base.  The word Merry was cut from silver mirror card and added to the card front. The word 'Christmas was cut from black card and black funky foam which were glued together and also added to the card from at an angle. To finish the card  die cut stars and snowflakes cut from silver mirror card were glued around the front. Hope you like it. :)

I'll be back next week with more Whimsy fabulousness.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge 102

Morning everyone 💜

I'm here to share my Whimsy Stamps Challenge Design Team card with you today.  I'm a little late sharing it as I've had no 'tinternet' for a few days - but thankfully I'm 'up and cooking now'. :)

For my card I've used the beautiful digital paper from the 'Accents Of Winter 2' collection and one of the digital stamps from the 'Christmas Accessories' sheet both designed by the very talented  Tracy Wray. As I mentioned we have a Challenge every month - theme is Anything Goes, so come on and get joining. We'd love to see your creations...plus you might even win a prize. Yay! Click here to upload your project.

Here's What I Used
Digital Papers: 'Accents Of Winter 2' Paper Collection
Digital Stamps: 'Christmas Trimmings Sentiments' ((Sentiment) and Christmas Accessories (Angel)
Other: 6" x 6" Scalloped Card Blank, Neenah Card, Sheena's White Stampinbg Card, Gold Glitter Card,  Tattered Lace Square Doily Die, Tattered Lace Square Die, Paper Smooches 'Space' Die, White Funky Foam,, Glitter, Foam Pads, Graphics Program, Gold Glitter Pen

Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dress - RV000, RV00, RV42 / Wings - BG000, B0000

What I did
I die cut a white square using the doily die and cut the centre out using a plain square die, to create a frame. I repeated this process twice more from white funky foam, and glued all the frames together.

Using a graphics program I added the sentiment and angel to one of the beautiful patterned papers and printed it out. The angel was printed onto colouring card twice, and then coloured in using Copics. The first angel was all cut out apart from her halo and glitter was added to her wings. The second angel was cut out minus her wings and halo. Both cut out angels were layered up using foam pads.

The printed paper and frame was added to the 6" x 6" card front, and the layered up angel was added on top of the printed angel on the patterned paper.

To finish off die cut gold stars were added and the halo was coloured in using a gold glitter pen.

Don't forget to join our challenge and check out my lovely teamies creations - click here.

I'll be back next week with more Whimsy wonderfulness.

Halloween Card 2017

Hi there

Every year I make a Halloween card for my daughter - she'll be 29 next month. She loves Halloween and really gets into the spirit of it. She used work as an actress in the London Dungeons attraction, so you can imagine what things she used to wear. Lol

Anyhow I thought I would share the card I made for her this year. I used My Favorite Things 'Witch Way Is The Candy' stamp set and some pop up dies from Elizabeth Crafts. The background was created using a variety of different distressing inks, and the images were coloured with Copics.

The above picture shows the band I created to slide over the card base to keep it closed.

EVERYTHING I USED:

Stamps: 'Witch Way Is The Candy' (My Favorite Things)

Distressing Inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Black Soot (and a little Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed)

Other: Splatter Brush, Water, Black card (cut to 5¾" x 5¾" to create a card blank), White glitter Card, Glitter Pen, Sheena's Stamping Card, Black Funky foam, Glossy Accents, Computer/Printer (sentiment)

A Mice Day! Stamp Set Tutorials

Evening everyonee

I was asked so many times on Facebook how I created the Swiss Cheese mouse card that I decided to write up a tutorial for this, and the rest of the cards. I hope this will help.

So enjoy :)

WHAT I DID
Cut a piece of yellow card to 5¾” x 5¾” and add it to a 6” x 6” kraft card blank, leaving a border all the way round.

Next cut a piece of kraft card 5½” x 5½”, and stamp the wheat on the left hand side using black memento ink. Stamp the wheat sheaf that is bowed onto Mask It paper and cut it out (alternatively you can use the sticky edge of a post-it note). Place the mask over the top of the sheaf previously stamped on the kraft card, then stamp the bottom section of the mouse and removed the mask. Colour everything with pencils.

Using the coordinating stencil add clouds to the kraft card by inking through the cloud aperture using white ink, avoiding the mouse and wheat. When everything is dry added a little white and blue pencil to define the clouds. Add a thin line of crystal glitter around the edges of the clouds.

Stamp the head of the mouse twice onto white card and coloured with pencils, then cut out. Using foam pads attach one of the heads to the wheat sheaf above where the mouse body has been stamped earlier.

Hand cut a fishtail banner from kraft card, and stamp a sentiment onto it. Cut a slightly larger banner from yellow card and glued them both together.

To complete the card attached the banners to the card front using foam tape, and add the mouse head and a yellow enamel dot.

WHAT I USED
A Mice Day! Stamp Set and Mask
6” x 6” Kraft Card Blank
Spectrum Noir Pencils
Yellow Card
Stamping/colouring Card
Foam Pads
Kraft Card
Crystal Glitter
Enamel Dot
White Brilliance Ink
Black Memento Ink

WHAT I DID
Add orange card 4¾” x 6¾” to the front of a 7” x 5” white card blank leaving a thin white border all the way round.

Cut a piece of strong white card to 4½” x 6½”. Die cut different sized circles into it,
randomly placing them around the card.

Create outer frames for the apertures - using a circle die slightly larger than the apertures, then die cut the centre from them each of them using the same circle die as the one used on the white card. Glue the frames to the white card along with a few of the small spare centres from the circles.

Stamp the sentiment onto the white card and attached it to the card front using foam tape. Make sure you use plenty of foam tape around the apertures to support them.

Stamp all the mice onto colouring card, then colour them in with your alcohol pens and carefully cut them out. Glue the mice inside the large circles.  Attached the mouse head using foam tape, but leaving its paws hanging outside of the circle.

WHAT I USED
A Mice Day! Stamp Set
5” x 7” White Card Blank
Hunkydory Matt-tastic Card
Copic Pens
Circle Dies (Tattered Lace)
Stamping/colouring Card
Foam Pads

WHAT I DID
Cut a piece of patterned paper 6½” x 6½” and round off the corners on one side, and attach it to a 7” × 7” white scalloped card blank, making sure there is a slim border all the way round.

Cut a piece of inking card to 5¾”x 5¾” and secure the coordinating mask in the centre of it. Ink through and around the mask using distressing ink to create a border. When dry attach it to a piece of gold mirror card cut to 6” x 6”, and then add to the card base.

Trim a piece of inking card to 4” x 4”. Using distressing inks create a background leaving the centre lighter than the edges; splash water onto the surface and blot off with kitchen towel. When dry use black ink and the mask to add grass and a few wheat sheaves. Stamp the sentiment in the top right corner. Mount the completed scene onto a piece of die cut gold mirror card 4½” x 4½”.

Add the completed topper to the card front using foam tape.

WHAT I USED
A Mice Day! Stamp Set and Mask
For the Love Of Stamps ‘Perfectly Natural’ Paper Pad
7” x 7” Scalloped Card Blank
Squeezed Lemondade, Spiced Marmalade, Tea Dye  Distressing Ink
Stitched Square Die (Crealies)
Gold Mirror Card
Hunkydory Ink Me Card
Foam Pads
Corner Rounder

WHAT I DID
Add patterned paper to the front of a 5” x 5” top fold white scalloped card blank, leaving a thin white border all the way round.

Stamp the wheat sheaves, flower and mouse once onto a masking sheet, then stamp the grass twice, and cut everything out.

Die cut a circle from colouring card and stamp the grass twice, leaving a gap in the centre. Join up the grasses using a black fineliner pen and place the masks on top. Stamp the flower in the centre of the grasses and add its mask. Stamp the mouse so that its paws are placed over the flower stem, and then add the mask over this as well. To complete the scene stamp the wheat on the left hand side of the circle and cover this with the mask.

Leaving all the masks in place add the clouds using Tumbled Glass distressing ink and a cloud template. Build up the ink slowly leaving lots of white areas to create depth.

Remove all the masks, and colour the images using alcohol pens.

Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner of the card base using black Memento ink.

Mount the completed topper onto a fancy circle die cut from brown card, and then attach it to the card front using foam tape.

Create 3 small fish tail banners from brown card, kraft card and patterned paper, and layer them up. Add the banners to the top of the card along with a die cut heart.

WHAT I USED

5” x 5” Scalloped Card Blank
