Sweet Stampin' - Emboss It

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's that time of the week again --- it's Sweet Stampin', and my turn to share my Design Team card with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Emboss It' - so that can be dry embossing, inking and embossing, or using an embossing folder - basically as long as you included a stamped element any 'embossing' is fine.

For my card I used cute My Favourite Thing (MFT) stamp set called 'You Have My Heart' - just in case you're interested there is also a die set that co-ordinates with this too.  I stamped and coloured this cute pair with Copics, used texture paste on the starry sky, and stamped and embossed my sentiment.

Here's What I Did
I used a 5" x 5" scalloped white card base. I then die cut a square from white card and die cut another square inside it, to create a frame. I added foam tape to the back of the frame to raise it up, Using some mid blue card I die cut another square the same size as before so it would fit inside the frame. Then using a star stencil I taped it in place over the top of the blue square (using removable tape) and plastered glitter texture paste over the top. I carefully removed the stencil from the square and allowed it to dry. Once dry I glued the square inside the white frame.

Next I stamped the girl and her dog and coloured them Copic pens, and then cut them out. I die cut a grassy hill from green card and stamped and embossed my sentiment on the front, and added dots using a white pen.  To finish off I glued the hill and the girl inside the frame.

Here's What I Used
Stamp Sets:  MFT 'You Have My Heart'
Dies: Simon Says Stamps 'A2 Card Curved Edge', Tonic 'Square' Layering Dies
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Deep Blue, Green, White CS
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R30 / Hair - E31, E33, E35, E37 / Dress - B12, B24, B32 / Dog - E31, E33, E35, C2, C5, C7 / Grass - G07
Other: Memry Box 'Stars Starry Night' Stencil, cosmic Shimmer Texture paste 'Aurora' , White embossing Powder

Sugar Nellie - Santa Door Hanger

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Good morning everyone, well it's definitely getting cooler and the weather is swiftly moving into autumn. I love autumn, but I don't like the darker evenings. At least I will be having a little breather from the cold, as I'm off on my late summer holiday very shortly...and it's somewhere nice and warm :)
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday and my turn to share a fabulous Sugar Nellie project with you.  This week I thought I would make something festive, so here is a Christmas door hanger, I know, I know I said the 'C' word again...sorry!  For the hanger I've used the sweet digi stamp 'Little Helpers' from Funkykits

Here's What I Did
Firstly I printed the digital image and my message 'Santa Please Stop Here' directly onto some colouring card stock, and then cut it into a rectangle measuring 4" x 10".  I coloured the image with Copic pens and matted it onto gold holographic card and then onto red card. Next I die cut a circle in the centre top.

I die cut 2 scalloped frames by using a scallop and plain circle die. These were then glued into place on the front and back of hanger around the hole - this was done to reinforce the aperture.

To finish off I added die cut white mini snowflakes, glittered up Santa's fur trim and added a ribbon bow.

Footnote --- Please beware that if you try to die cut the circle at the top through the 3 layers of card like I did. I had a terrible job cutting though everything, and it took approx 6 attempts and it still didn't cut though properly, plus it made awful crease marks on the hangers. So next time I will definitely die cut a circle on each layer separately, and then assemble.
Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Little Helpers' from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Red CS, Holographic Gold CS, Neenah CS
Copics: Skin: E000, E00, R20 / Beard -  W0, W1, W2, W5 / Santa Suit, Gloves & Red Presents - R000, R14, R27, R20, R30, R32, R59 / Snow - BG10 / Sky - B0000, 0 / Boots & Belt - C0, C1, C23, C3, C5, C7 / Sack - / Rabbits & Sack - E00, E31, E33, E35, E37, R20, R32 / Green Presents & Scarfs - YG01, YG03, YG17 / Yellow presents & Stars - Y000, Y02, Y08, Y38 / Sack - E00, E31, E33, E35, E37 / Candy Cane - R30, R32, R59, C2

Sweet Stampin' - Let's Get Musical

Hello and good morning everyone ---

As you will have already gathered my term with Tiddly Inks has come to an end, so I'm back with the fab and talented Design Team girls at Sweet Stampin' - thanks ever so much Abi for releasing me :)

Well our theme this week is 'Let's Get Musical' (Musical instruments, notes, papers etc) so I used one of the cute digital images from Sugar Nellie and added some music patterned paper.  Perfect :)

Here's What I Did
I created my own 5" x 7" blank tent fold card from white A3 cardstock.

Next I printed my image directly onto my colouring card and die cut it into a rectangle, then coloured it with Copic pens. Using a sheet of LOTV music patterned paper I die cut it into a rectangle using the same stitched die as before, this was to ensure I cut it to the correct size and had the stitched effect on it. The patterned paper was cut again using a the word pop die (speech bubble) and inked around the edges, this was added to the dog image panel.  To add a little interest I die cut a 'Hello' sentiment from Gold mirra card and glued it in place on top of the music paper. The whole panel was then matted onto brown card and attached to my card base using foam pads.

To finish off I drew a few more musical notes and added glossy accents to them, glued on gold mirra card circles and used a white pen on the eyes of the dog for highlights.

Here's What I Used
Stamps: Sugar Nellie 'Love Songs' from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): A3 White 300gsm CS, Brown CS, Neenah Colouring CS, Gold Mirra CS, LOTV 'Heartfelt' Paper Pad
Copic Pens: Dog - E13, E21, E29, E33, E37, E51, E53, E99 /  Guitar - R02, R05, R14, R29, R32, R59, Y000, Y06, Y17 / Ground -= C0, C23, C5
Dies: Sizzix 'You & Me', Crealies XXL 'Stitched Rectangle', Memory Box 'Big Word Pop Curve'
Other: Punch, Glossy Accents, White Pen, Black Gel Pen, Gold Wink Of Stella Pen

Sugar Nellie - Berry

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Hi everyone, well the school hols are almost over and all I can stay is....what a 'blah' summer we've had. It's been awful....yes, we've had the occasional nice day but the majority of the time is been 'blah'! My daughter is all grown up now so it doesn't really affect me but it's been awful for the kids and parents this year. All well roll on my holidays...and a bit of sun on my back. I'm looking forward to colouring in the sun with a nice glass of something...which in my case will be water lol!!
Anyhoo, it's onto my Wednesday Sugar Nellie make for you. This week I decided to make plaque using a MDF shape instead of my usual card, and I have to save I love every minute of creating it and I'll definitely be making more of them...so watch this space! So for my project I used a stamp from the Scrapberry range called 'Berry' which is available from Funkykits.

Here's What I Did
I used a small MDF rectangle which I covered with a piece of patterned paper, and then inked around the edges. I stamped my rabbit onto colouring cardstock, coloured her using Copic pens and fussy cut her out.

I stamped the flowers onto some co-ordinating patterned paper, cut them out and again inked around the edges. The flowers plus some punched out leaves, a die cut sentiment and a few hearts were glued to the plaque along with a strip of lace and a piece of ribbon. The rabbit was added last using some foam tape to give it a little extra dimension.  To finish off I added a little glitter, and a few pearls and a sprinkling of sequins.
Here's What I Used
Stamp: Scrapberry 'Berry' from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Craftwork Super Smooth Digital CS, Pink, Cream, Deep Pink CS, LOTV ' 'Heartfelt'
Flexmarkers: Rabbits Fur - Antique White, Blush, Nutmeg, Light Fawn, Dusky Pink, Cinnamon, Putty

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday - My Last Design Team Post

Hello and good morning....

Sob...Sob...Sob!!!

Well today is my last official Design Team card for Tiddly Inks and I'm soooo sad :(
I've had a fabulous time on the uber talented DT, and had the pleasure of working with Christy's amazing images. Thank you to all the girls over at Tiddly Inks I've had a fab time and you never know I might be back in the future...mwah!!!

Good luck to the new interim Design Team (when you're appointed) I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time.

So onto my last Tiddly Inks Fab Friday creation for you - I decided to use the ever so pretty Wryn digi stamp called 'Wryn-The BBQ Queen', which makes a great summer card...well if we'd actually had a summer that it. I actually gave this card to a friend who was kind enough to make my hubbie and I a fabulous BBQ lunch last Sunday. I used green for my colour theme as her living room and kitchen were super modern and all in lime green so I knew I couldn't go wrong really. Lol! The 'Thank you' sentiment was for both my friend, Christy and the Design Team.

Here's What I Did
1 used a white scalloped 5" x 7" card base which I matted with some green card.  I printed my image directly onto some colouring card stock, die cut it into a rectangle and coloured it with Copic pens.

Next I printed my sentiment directly onto my patterned paper and die cut it into a rectangle shape, and cut 2 strips off. The finished image and the strips were all added to the card base. Then to finish off I added a few die cut buttons, a pearl, crystal drops and a few punched out butterflies.

Here's what I Used
Digital Image: 'Wryn-The BBQ Queen' from the Tiddly Inks store

Sugar Nellie Design Team Card - Make A Wish

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Good morning, well I hope the weather is better where you are, because it's pretty rubbish in my part of the UK. That'll teach me to buy new garden furniture...Sob!!
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday and my turn to share my Sugar Nellie card with you.  This week I thought I would bring a little bit of fairy magic into your life - so for my card I used the fabulous 'Make A Wish' digital stamp from Funkykits. I just think she's such a pretty little thing, and I've been wanting to use her for ages but never actually got around to it. I also got to use some texture paste for the first time....I love it!

Here's What I Did
I used a 6" x 6" scallop card blank and matted it with deep blue card.  Firstly I printed my image directly onto some lemon card and die cut it into a circle, this was then stencilled with stars using glittery texture paste which gave it a pretty raised effect. When the paste was dry I matted it onto a blue die cut circle and added it to my card base, along with a blue stencilled strip.

I printed the image again onto my colouring cardstock and I coloured it with Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out, this was then added on top of the lemon circle and attached to my card base. To finish off I added glitter to her wand and wings, and added a few die cut buttons with a gem.
Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Make A Wish' from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Craftwork Super Smooth Digital CS, Topsy Turvy CS, Lemon CS
Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E02 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E18, E99, E37 / Dress & Shoes - B0000, B000, B00, BG01, BG72 / Wings - B000, B00, RV00, RV02, RV04 / Wand - Y00, Y006, Y08, Y17
Dies: Tonic Square Layering Dies, Crealies XXL 'Stitched Circles', Die'sire 'Flower Buttons'
Other: Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen, Gem, Memory Box 'Stars Starry Nights' Stencil, Cosmic Shimmer 'Sparkle' Texture Paste, Distressing Ink, LOTV 'Sentiment Tag' Stamp Set
