Little Miss Muffet Challenge Card (#131) - PDP Winona

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet card with you. I just had to use this little sweetheart holding her little toy monkey. I just think she's so cute, and I knew I had to use a bright and cheery colour to compliment her. She's called 'Polka Dot Pals - Winona' and she is also part of the new digi stamp release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps (LMMS).

So here's my Design Team card for our current Challenge #131. I wanted to keep my card CAS so as to focus on this gorgeous little girl and her cute monkey, so I intentionally only used a few embellishments but made sure I used co-ordinating papers and card stock.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I covered my card with 2 complimentary patterned papers and die cut the word 'Friend' on a strip of co-ordinating cardstock and attached this over the join to hide it.

Next I printed the cute Winona image and her monkey directly onto some colouring cardstock and coloured them both with Copic pens. The image was fussy cut out and attached them to the front of the card using foam tape.

To finish off I die cut a tiny fish tail banner and a few hearts and glued them to the card base with tiny pearls on top.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: New Release image 'Polka Dot Pals-Winona' - available here
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Orange CS, Neenah Colouring CS, LOTV 'Country Meadow' Paper Pad,
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair - C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, 100 / Dress & Hair Slide - YR04, YR31, Y17, Y38 / Monkey - E21, E33, E35, E47, E51, E53
Dies: MFT Die-namics "Blueprint 8'
Other: Foam Tape, Clear Glitter, Pearls, White Pen

Litle Miss Muffet Stamps (LMMS) - Card To Inspire You

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet creation with you. I have to admit I couldn't wait to use this little sweetheart, she's called 'Val's Butterfly' and she's part of the new release, as is the sentiment. Both stamps are available in a digi format so you can play straight away...yay!!. I just think she's sooo sweet as are all the new characters, so make sure you check out the fabulous new releases, and the rest of the store of course....erm, I'm only saying :)

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/New-Stuff_c_80.html

So for my card I coloured my little elephant with Copic pens and added her to my heart frame card. I just knew I wanted her grey but with a pinky background and to also keep it CAS. I hope this inspires you to get colouring and have a play :).

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut my patterned paper to size and die cut a heart in the centre; I glued a piece of contrasting paper behind the aperture and added this to my card base. Next I cut a heart pink card using the same heart die as before, and cut another one inside it, this was glued around the front of the aperture to form my frame.

Next I printed my image and sentiment directly onto some colouring cardstock and coloured them both with Copic pens. I fussy cut out the elephant (which was really easy to do) and attached it in front of the frame using foam tape. The fish tail banner was hand cut and mounted onto a piece of pink card and tucked behind the elephant.

To finish off I used clear glitter on the hearts and 'Tine' wording, and glued a few pale pink sequins in the aperture.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Val's Butterfly'- available here and the 'Val N' Tine' sentiment available here,
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Pink CS, Neenah Colouring CS, Trimcraft 'What A Hoot' Paper Pad, LOTV 'Country Meadow' Paper Pad
Copics: Elephant Skin: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5 / Hearts, Bow, Butterfly Wings, Mouth, Wording: RV10, RV21, R34 / Toe Nails - W1, W2

Eek...Guess What???

I have 2 pieces of great news....

...well, my 1st piece of news is that I applied for a place on Little Miss Muffet (LMMS) Design Team position. and guess what?  Yep, I was accepted....whoop, whoop!! How excited am I (big grin on my face atm)  :)
And my 2nd piece of news is that I'm excited to show off one of the new LMMS releases for Valentines.

The one I decided to use is called 'Celeste Amberglow Stuffed with Love' and it's available here, There's quite a few new releases in the Little Miss Muffet store, including those cute little elephants above. To find all the fabulous new releases simply select the 'New Stuff' in the Categories list, in fact why not check out the whole store - there's lots of gorgeous rubber and digital stamps available.

So without further ado here's my first card for LMMS. Drum roll please......

Here's What I Did
I created a tent fold card base by cutting a section off an A3 sheet of card and folding it in half (this can be done using an A4 sheet to create a smaller card), and I matted it with bright pink card. Next I printed my image directly onto my colouring cardstock and cut it down to size, this was then coloured with Copic pens. Using a curved die I cut a piece of patterned paper at an angle to fit the top portion of the card and glued it into place. Next I wrapped a piece of Bakers twine around the top and attached the whole thing to the card base, and added a die cut flower and leaves.

To finish off I used Wink Of Stella clear glitter on the stitched heart, and glued a few die cut hearts around the image.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Celeste Amberglow Stuffed with Love' and it's available here,
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Pink CS, Neenah Colouring CS, LOTV 'Country Meadow' Paper Pad
Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11,  R20 / Top, Ribbon & Patches - RV10, RV13, RV14, R35 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E59, E99 /Jeans - B000, B05, B12, B97 / Stitched Heart & Boots - E33, E37, E51, E53 / Ground - W0, W01, W02 / Small Hearts - R14, R27, R59
Dies: MFT Die-namics 'Blueprint 14' and 'Flowers & Leaves Trio', Simon Says Stamp 'A2 Card Curved Edge'
Other: Fineliner Pens, Baker's Twine, Foam Tape, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter pen

Sugar Nellie - 'You Brought Me Love'

- Hello Sugar Fans -

Good morning everyone!
So for my Design Team card this cold Wednesday I decided to use one of the gorgeous Gorjuss girl stamps again (because I love them lol); this one is called 'You Brought Me Love' and she's available as a mini stamp. These stamps are so versatile, because you can really pretty them up or make them look vintage and shabby. So for my card I decided I wanted her to have a shabby chic looking or maybe it's more gothy....mmm, you decide. To achieve the look I used distressing ink pads and pens on watercolour card.
This stamp and lots of other Gorjuss stamps are available to buy from Funkykits.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=91_148

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted a shaped card base with black card stock and beautiful patterned paper. The image was stamped directly onto some watercolour card and die cut it into a circle.  Next I created my background, and I purposely made it blotchy by leaving pools of water on the surface of the paper, this produced a watermark effect. I coloured the main image in with a selection of distressing ink pads and pens keeping to a vintage colour palette.

The completed image was then mounted onto a die cut black circle, and added to the card base using foam tape. To finish off I added a few punched out butterflies.
Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'You Brought Me Love' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Craftwork Cards Shaped Card Base, Black CS, Watercolour CS, Trimcraft 'Pursuit Of Happiness' Paper Pad
Distressing Inks/Pens: Skin: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick / Hair - Scattered Straw, Pumice Stone, Black / Dress, Bows & Tights - S[pun Sugar, Victorian Velvet / Petticoat & Tights - Antique Linen, Vintage Photo / Background - Old Paper, Forest Moss
Dies: Tattered Lace 'Pearl' Circle, Crealies 'XXL Stitched Circle', Go Kreate 'Frilly #10'
Other: Butterfly Punch, White Pen

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Shabby Chic

Hi All!

Good morning everyone, it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you or in this case a plaque. The theme this week is 'Shabby Chic' and you can make whatever takes your fancy but you MUST include a stamped element on it.

Here's What I did
I stamped several flower onto patterned paper and fussy cut them out, and then covered my MDF plaque with more patterned paper from the same pad. Distressing ink was used on the edge of the plaque and flowers to add texture and definition. Next I die cut a sentiment and some hearts from pink and brown card, then punched out a few branches and leaves from green card.

I glued all the components to the plaque and to finish off I added a few gems and pearls. Lastly I attached a strip of pink ribbon.

Here's what I Used
Cardstock/Paper: Pink, Green & Brown CS, Craftwork Cards 'Country Garden'
Stamps: Dreamees 'Sunflower' Set, Hero Arts 'Dotted Flowers'
Dies: Sizzix 'You & Me', Memory Box 'Cross Stitched Hearts', Creative Expressions 'Perfect Peony Open Petals'

Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss 'Runaway

- Hello Sugar Fans -

Good morning everyone! Sorry for my late Sugar Nellie post, but you know what it's like.....sometimes life just gets in the way of our crafting :(  But I'm here now, and hopefully my card will brighten up your cold, grey wintery day.
So for my Design Team card I decided to use one of the gorgeous Gorjuss girl stamps called 'Runaway', I love this stamp, it's so pretty and I've been dying to use it for ages. I wanted to create a dreaming feel so I softened up the background with a mixture of Copic pens and blending solution, and I really like how it turned out. As the image is so large I decided to keep the rest of the card CAS.
This stamp and lots of other Gorjuss stamps are available to buy from Funkykits.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=91_148

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted an A5 card base with delicate pink patterned paper. Next I stamped the large image onto some colouring cardstock and created the background using a mixture of different colour Copic pens and blending solution - this was used to soften the look. The rest of the image was coloured using the same pens as before but more intensely. The finished image was mounted onto some pink card, along with 3 die cut flourishes to create a frame.

The image and frame was added to the card base using foam pads to add dimension. To finish off I added a few sequins and some clear glitter to the horse.
Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'Runaway' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): A5 Card Base, Pink CS, Papermania 'Blueberry Hill' Paper Pad
Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair - C2, C3, C5 / Horse - W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, E00, E000 / Horse Mane & Tail - BG01, BG05, RV01, V01, V05, YG01, YG11 / Bridle & Saddle - BG000, BG01, BG05, BG49, RV000, RV00, RV02 / Blanket - YG01, YG03, YG17 / Dress, Boots & Socks - RV000, RV00, RV02, RV34 /Background - RV000, RV00, V000, V01, YG11, BG000, BG01, 00

Sweet Stampin' - Flowers

Hi and Happy New Year

Good morning everyone, it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our cheerful theme this week is 'Flowers' and remember you MUST include a stamped element on your card/project.

For my project this week I am sharing a box card I made for my daughter using a variety of digi images from Mo Manning and Polkadoodles - I coloured everything with Copics and fussy cut all the images out.

Here's What I did
After creating my box and adding my papers to it. I die cut flowers attaching some to acetate strips.  I then printed off my digi stamps - the Mad Hatter, Alice, Dormouse, cups, etc. I coloured them all in with Copics and also attached these to acetate strips. Everything including the die cut flowers were then placed inside the box.  The quotes were printed and die cut and coloured with pan pastels.  You'll also spot the odd playing card (including the Queen of Hearts) - these are actually mini cards from a Xmas cracker.

Click the link here to the Box Card Template I've created.  It's a bit lengthy sorry, but it does have illustrations.  You can open, download and/or save it. FYI, if you want to make the box height and/flaps slightly larger or smaller just increase or decease the measurements I've given you. Any questions just email me...have fun!

Sugar Nellie - Waiting For You

- Happy New Year Sugar Fans -
I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. To celebrate Christmas I travelled to London to stay with my gorgeous daughter because she couldn't come home due to work commitments, and my hubbie had to work all over Christmas period (he works away from home). Unfortunately it wasn't a great Christmas for me (sob!) because I contacted the flu on Christmas Eve and was ill all over the festive period and I'm still not over it completely. Blah!!
Anyway enough of my sad story...it's the first Wednesday in the New Year and my turn to share a Sugar Nellie card with you. For my CAS card this week I used one of the Furry Friends digi stamps called 'Waiting For You', it's available to buy from Funkykits. Definitely check them out as there's quite a few characters in the collection and include cats, dogs, rabbits etc and they're all very cute. The completed picture was matted and layered onto some cream card and added to my card base using foam tape to give a little extra dimension.

To finish off I added glitter to the balloon, white pen on the bear's face and balloon for highlights, and a few die cut hearts.
