Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - November Week #5

Hi guys ðŸ’œ

Today I'm sharing another of the fabulous fairy's available in the Whimsy store. This beautiful rubber stamp is called 'Snowflake Wishes Fairy' and is part of this month's new release. I just love working with these gorgeous images, they're just so magical.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of red card and attached it to the card front of a 6" x 6" white card blank.

The image was stamped onto colouring card and die cut into a square with a dotted edge detail. The image was then coloured using Copic pens, and silver glitter pen was added to the snowflakes and bells. Crystal glitter was added to her wings to make them sparkle and a die cut sentiment was added below her.  The topper was attached to a die cut square cut from silver glitter card and then added to the card front using foam pads.

To finish the card, silver stars were punched out from silver glitter card and glued around the fairy.

The snow globe was stamped onto white colouring card and a sentiment was added to the centre. The whole snow globe was then cut out by hand. The inside edge of the globe was coloured with a blue Copic pen and crystal glitter was added over the top.

The base of the globe was stamped again onto silver mirror card using Stazon ink and cut out, this was then glued into place on the glittered snow globe. The snow globe was then mounted onto black card cut out using the snow globe outer die.

To complete the card, gems were added at the top and bottom edge of the card.

So for my card this week and for this challenge I am re-sharing a card I made originally in July. I just love this little digi stamps by the lovely Crissy Armstrong. I was so chuffed with myself when I managed to colour the fireside glow, that I was glowing too. :) I hope you like it...again. x

All the links to the specific Whimsy products can be found below and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed a piece of green card to 6½" x 6½" and a piece of navy card to 6¼" x 6¼" and attached them to the card front. Using my graphics software (I used MS PowerPoint) I imported my digital paper, then the sentiment which was recoloured white. The penguin stamp was imported over the top and resized accordingly. This was printed straight onto colouring card and trimmed to 6" x 6".

The penguin stamp was coloured using Copic pens, and then the completed topper was attached to the card front.

Please note - I did remove the white background from the digital stamp in a graphics program first.  However, you could achieve the same look by printing and cutting out the image, then layering it over the top of the printed out paper.

Here's What I Used
New Release Digital Stamp: Penguin Campfire
Digital Paper: Starry Night
Sentiment: Say Cheese

Other: 7" x 7" White Card Blank, Navy Blue Card, Green Card, Copic Pens, Neenah Colouring Card, PowerPoint; Printer, Serif CraftArtist

A circle was die cut from a piece of red card and glued on top of a scalloped circle cut from gold mirror card, both were then added to the card front using foam pads. Using a hand punch 6 small circle were cut from gold mirror card and added to the circle on opposite sides, then 3 larger circles were punch out from the same card, and also added to the card front at the top left.

The snow globe was stamped on to Desert Storm Neenah card and die cut, then coloured with pencils. When the colouring was completed I added white pen to the falling snow and a little glitter. The digital image was also inserted into my graphics program, resized and printed directly onto colouring cardstock, then coloured with Copic pens. I added a glitter to give it a little sparkle.  I die cut the image into a rectangle and mounted it onto some dark blue card, then added it to the centre of the card front. Whimsy Stamps - November New Release #1

Hi there guys💜

Today, it's my turn to share one of the new release digi stamps from Whimsy Stamps, but instead I'm sharing two. So for my card today I've used the cutest little seals drawn by the lovely Crissy Armstrong. Aren't they sweet.

All the links to the specific Whimsy products can be found below and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
First I added matted my card blank with a piece of red card leaving a slim border around the edges. Using my graphics software I imported the cute seal images and printed them directly onto Neenah card. I coloured the images with Copic pens and cut them out, I also trimmed off on the bottom half of the baby seal (poor thing!).

I sketched out 3 separate icebergs (or ice mountains) onto light blue card, then sponged Tumbled Glass distressing ink over the top, then added Faded Jeans distressing ink to the edges. When the ink  was completely dry I added glitter to the very edges of the icebergs.

I cut down a piece of dark grey card to fit the card front, which I then sprayed lightly with white stain. In addition to this I also die cut a circle from light grey card and very lightly sponged Black Soot distressing ink over the top, and left them both to dry.  When dry the moon and icebergs were then glued into place on the grey card.

Next I cut a strip of pale blue vellum bigger than the width of the grey card and wrapped it across the bottom of the icebergs and secured it on back of the card, I also added a few dots of glue where I knew I was going to add the adult seal and icy hole. The grey card containing the scene was then added to the card front on top of the red card. A die cut oval cut from silver mirror card and the two seals, plus a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment were adhered to the card front to finish the scene. To complete the card, glitter was added to the hat fur of the two seals.

Here's What I Used
New Release Digital Stamp: Seal On Ice
New Release Digital Stamp: Seal In Water

Other: 6" x 6" White Card Blank, Neenah Card, Red Card, Blue Vellum, Silver Mirror Card, Dark Grey Card, Light Grey Card, Light Blue Card, Distressing inks (Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Black Soot), Distress Ink Spray Stain (Picket Fence), Glitter, Merry Christmas Die (Die'sire), White Pen

Copics: Seals - C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100 / Scarf & Hat - R17, R27, R37, ,R59, W1, W3 / Present - B05, B12, R17, R27, R37, R59

Our new facebook challenge #110  started on the 15th October, and there's still loads of time to enter, so come and grab something Whimsy and join in with us. There will be a  fabulous $15 prize to win and the theme as always is 'Anything Goes'.
