Sugar Nellie Design Team Card - Enjoy Your Trip and Little Princess

Good morning sugar fans!

Well, it's my turn to share my Sugar Nellie Design Team card with you today. I can't believe how quickly the weeks and months are flying by - omg we're almost in June and Christmas seems such a distance memory now.

Sooooo, onto my card for this week. I decided to have a little play with my Scrapberry stamps, they maybe small in size but they're big on character - they're sooooo pretty!  The stamp sets I used are called 'Enjoy Your Trip' and 'Little Princess' and are available from Funkykits (the home of Sugar Nellie).

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2192

Here's What I Did
I used a white 7" x 7" card base which I matted and layered with coloured card and patterned paper.  I then stamped out both of the girls and coloured them with Copics. The girl with the camera was then fussy cut out.

Using white card I created the polaroid frame by die cutting a rectangle and then a square inside it, and then repeating the process again with black card. The two frames were then overlaid slightly off centre to give it a feeling of depth. The sentiment was stamped and embossing on the front of the frame and the window was backed with vellum; the Little Princess picture was then attached behind it. The word 'beautiful' was die cut from black card and attached to the card base along with all the other elements. To finish off I scattered a few die cut hearts around the card, covered the word  'beautiful' with a clear glitter pen, and used clear gloss on her sunglasses and camera lens.
Here's What I Used

Tiddly Inks - Challenge Card #158

Hello and good morning everyone -----

If you live in the UK I hope you all had a fabulous Bank Holiday weekend - I've literally crafted all week :)

So, onto my Design Team card for the Tiddly Inks Challenge #158, our theme this week is 'Just Easel-y'. Simply make an easel card using a Tiddly Inks stamp; there's so many gorgeous images in the shop to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice. Make sure you also check out our blog and Facebook page for inspiration from the fab DT.  Plus there's lots of inspiration on Pinterest and You Tube  videos if you need help to make an easel card. Alternatively if you can message me I can send you some info.

So for my easel card I used the digital stamp set 'Beach Bonanza', which includes Wryn, umbrella, sentiment, sandcastle, shells, crab and crab & bucket. However you can buy the Wryn Beach Babe and the Wryn Beach Accessories separately if you wish. There is also a clear stamp set available to buy, if you prefer.

Here's What I Did
There are quite a few steps to my card - so here's goes!

Firstly I printed the sentiment and shells directly onto my Kraft card and attached it my pre-made easel card base. Next I die cut a circle, cloud border and some waves from coloured card, plus a few sand dunes from Kraft card. Using my die cut clouds I created a sky on the white circle using blue distressing ink. I hand cut some blue card to represent the water and added some blue and white pencil marks to represent the surf, this was then attached to the blue and white die cut waves. The waves and the dunes were all added to the card front.

To make the stopper I die cut another sand dune wave from Kraft card, edged it with distressing ink and glued it to a folded strip of the same card to make it stand up. The stopper was then attached to the base at the point I wanted my easel to stand up.

Wryn and all her beach accessories were coloured with Copic pens and finished off with pencils. All the coloured images were then fussy cut out and attached to the card base. A clear glitter pen was used on some of the shells and flower centres. To finish off I added glossy accents and a couple of tiny ribbons to Wryn's hair.

Here's what I UsedDigital Image: Beach Bonanza Tiddly Inks
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20, R30 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E15, E99 /  Towel - B0000, B000, B02, B05, RV00, RV02  / Swimming Costume, Sandals & Crabs - R20, R22, R29, R32,  / Daisies & Bag - Y00, Y02, Y06, Y35 / Daisy Centres - RV00, RV02, RV14 / Parasol - Y00, Y02, Y06, Y35, RV00, RV02, RV14, C2 / Bucket - B0000, B000, B02, B05 / Sandcastle - YR000, YR20, YR61, E13, RV00, RV02, RV14, B0000, B000, B02, Y00, Y02, YR35, BG10, BG13 / Sea Shells - Y00, Y02, Y35, BG10, BG13,  B0000, B000, B02, B05, RV00, RV02, RV14

Tiddly Inks - Fabulous Friday

Hello and good morning everyone -----

Here is my Design Team card for Fabulous Friday over at Tiddly Inks. When I had to choose a gorgeous image from the Tiddly inks store I was spoilt for choice, that was until I spotted these little cuties. I just knew instantly I needed to make a card using all 3 of them. So I decided to create a scene where they were inside windows looking out. Each of the dogs were printed twice, coloured with Copics, cut out and then layered up. The digital images are called Dogs Day - in the set there are 3 sweet dogs plus a few little extras.

Personally I think these dogs would look fabulous enlarged and placed on a child's bedroom wall or in a picture frame....I'm just saying!!! LOL

Here's What I Did
I used a DL scalloped card base. My sentiment was printed directly onto the caramel textured card and I die cut 3 squares in the centre of it. To make the frames - 3 squares were die cut from dark brown card and die cut again in the centre of each, to create the frames. The dogs were printed twice onto colouring card stock, coloured with Copic markers, cut out and layered up. To add a little interest behind the dogs 3 more squares were die cut from pink patterned paper.

Next everything was assembled onto the card base; the caramel card was raised up slightly using foam tape to give extra dimension, this also allowed me to place the body of the dogs behind each frame, the heads were then added afterwards using foam tape to give them life.  To finish off I added glitter to the hearts and added glossy accents to the dogs' noses.

Here's what I Used
Digital ImageDogs Day by Tiddly Inks

Handmade Bliss - Showcase Card (1)

-- Good morning everyone --

As I mentioned the other day I am now a new Design Team member for the lovely new online store

 http://www.handmadebliss.co.uk/shop/4588358199

My card today showcases some of the products you can find instore - you can find the list below.

Here's What I Did
I used a 5" x 5" scalloped white card base. I then die cut a square from white card and die cut another square inside it, to create a frame. I added foam tape to the back of the frame to raise it up, and placed a die cut and embossed pink square inside it. Next I stamped all my elements firstly onto plain white card and again onto patterned paper and glued them into place. To add more definition I added a little colour and glitter to them using pens. I added a die cut a green border strip and the finished perfume bottle, nail varnish and lipstick to the inside of the frame. Some of the elements were raised up with foam tape to create a little dimension. To finish off I added glitter dots and sequins.

I decided to keep the card base and background subtle because I wanted the fab makeup stamps from the set to stand out, and the patterned paper I used for the paper piecing was very pretty and bright and did the job perfectly.

Note: If you prefer you can also buy SVG files direct from the TAW store, which will allow you to cut out the stamp elements using an electronic cutting machine.

Here's What I Used

Other items used are from my crafty stash: Scalloped Card Base, White, Pink, Green Card, Square Dies, Sequins, Mask, Glitter Pen, Copic Pens, Foam Pads, Sequins, Star Stencil Mask.

Don't forget our challenge
The theme this month is 'Anything Goes' which makes it nice and easy, so come and join in. To enter, go to our blog here.

I can't wait to see your makes! And oh yes, why not leave me a message :)

Tiddly Inks Challenge #157 - May Flowers/New Release

Hello and good morning everyone -----

Here is my Design Team card for the Tiddly Inks Challenge #157. This is my first challenge card for them....yay!!!  The theme is 'May Flowers' so I combined it with this sweet image by Christy called 'Scooting By Wryn'it's a new release and will be available in the shop from today (it's available with a cat, dog or simply Wryn).

She's such a little cutie, and I thought she was crying out to be added to a scene of some description. I coloured both Wryn and her furry friend with Copics and everything else has been paper pieced, cut out and layered up. It took me ages - but it was worth it in the end :)

Here's What I Did
My card base is 7" x 7". I die cut a frame from white card using 2 different sized rectangular dies. The patterned papers and vellum were die cut to fit inside the frame; and then die cut again using a border die so they would look like hills. These were then glued into place.

The image was printed twice onto colouring card stock - on one image I only coloured the scooter tyres and wheel trims and then cut them out. On the other, I only coloured in Wryn and friend and again cut them out.

The scooter was then printed twice onto patterned paper and cut out. All the sections were then layered up onto the scooter along with Wryn using foam tape, and everything was finally added to the card base. To finish off I added lots of punched out yellow flowers to her basket and to the grassy areas, along with a little bit of glitter on the smiley sunshine.

Here's what I Used
Digital Image: Scooting By Wryn by Tiddly Inks

--- Hello and good morning everyone ---

I have some brilliant news to share with you!!

If you remember I recently entered the Tiddly Ink Design Team Call Out,

Yes, I was invited to join the TI Design team by Christy - and to be perfectly honest I can't quite believe it. The quality of entries was so high, I never thought I would ever stand a chance. So here I am a 'Tiddly Inker' for 4 months - so each week you'll see either a Themed Challenge card (which I hope you will join in with) or a Fabulous Friday card.

So on that note, here is my first Design Team card for Tiddly Inks for Fabulous Friday. This gorgeous image is a new release and it's called 'Wedding Bells'. The images comes with and without a veil, which makes it perfect for a wedding, engagement, anniversary or even a prom.  When you check out the image instore you'll see my card has been used as the sample photo - which made me even more excited - lol.

I used clear glitter on the bride's veil to give a sparkly translucent look. To finish off I added punched out stars around the couple and a die cut #1 near the sentiment.

Note: I made sure that when I typed out my sentiment I made sure I left sufficient space to add
my die cut #1.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Inspired By a Film/Book

Hello and good morning everyone ---

I'm to share my Sweet Stampin' Design Team project with you this week. Our theme is 'Inspired By A Film/Book' so of course I chose 'Frozen' - I love this film. It's such a feel good and cheery film, that you can't help but sing-a-long and giggle at Olaf. The card is a panorama card and was originally made for my 26 yo daughter for her Christmas - because she loves Olaf. The panorama panels were made using dies as well all the elements apart from Elsa and Olaf.

Here's What I Did
I die cut the back panel and sides using panorama dies from strong white card, and cut an inside panel from patterned paper. The front frame and border was cut using 2 different sized square dies and layered up. The village scene panel was die cut, and then drew a blue line along the edge to give an icy feel and added a touch of glitter. The white tree and front flower border were also die cut from glitter card. Both Elsa and Olaf were imported into my Silhouette and cut out electronically from strong white card, and then coloured with Copics.

All the components were then assembled to created the finished card. To finish off  I added glittery stars at the back, and a touch of glitter to Elsa's dress.

Here's What I Used
Images: Frozen Characters
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Sheena Douglas White Stamping Card,  Blue & White Glitter Card, First Edition 'Silent Night' Paper Pad
Dies: Tattered Lace - 'Panorama' Die Set, Square Dies, 'Summer' Edge Die, Marianne Design 'Christmas Tree', Xcut 'Snowy Village'

Our Challenges

To enter, go to our blog here.

Sooooo, to kick of our 1st challenge (Anything Goes) here is my card. I decided to keep my card bight and girly - the handbag was paper pieced using my patterned paper pad, then added a few sequins and dots for a little bit of sparkle to finish it off.

 Here's What I Did
I used a 7" x 7" white card base which I matted and layered with black card and patterned paper. I then die cut a circle from white card, added yellow distress ink around the edge and also matted it onto black card. The circle was then cut just off centre.  I matted more patterned paper onto a strip of black card and wrapped yellow ribbon around it. Both the circle and strip were both added to my card base along with a matching bow.

The handbag was stamped onto white card and again onto patterned paper from the pad and these were then both cut out and glued together.  The shoes were stamps in black ink onto white card and also cut out, I added a little glitter to the bows. Both the shoes and handbag were added to the card inside the circle. To finish off I added a double layered die cut 'happy' sentiment, and placed glitter enamel dots and sequins around the card to add a little glitz.

Note: If you prefer you can also buy SVG files direct from the TAW store, which will allow you to cut out the stamp elements using an electronic cutting machine.

Here's What I Used

Other items used are from my crafty stash: White Card Base, White & Black Card, Circle Dies, Sequins, Foam Pads, Sequins, Distressing Ink, Ribbon, Black Pen

So come on what are you waiting for, we'd love to see your card/project in in our 1st ever challenge. And there's a great prize of for the winner too. Click here to go to our blog.  Don't forget to visit the store too!!!
