Craft Consortium - Cottage Garden #4

Happy Mother's Day💙

I wanted to say a big 'Happy Mother's Day' to all the mums, and soon to be mums out there, and to all the mums who are no long with us...we are thinking about you. I know we're facing difficult times at the moment but we have to keep going and concentrate on the people we love. In saying that, please be kind to others and help where you can. Remember we have to stick together to fight this dreadful thing and retain our sanity. So stay strong and craft.....well that's my motto anyway :)

Anyhow onto something happier, this is the last of my cards I made using the new collection from Craft Consortium called 'Cottage Garden' (in partnership with the lovely Helz Cuppleditch). All 4 cards appeared on Create & Craft....did you spot them?

Soooo, for today's card I used the 'Bird & Bees' stamp set which I coloured with Copic pens. I teamed my card up with some of the bee patterned paper, alongside a few bees I made using electronic cutting machine. If you have any questions about the collection, just leave me a message and your email address and I will get back to you. x

This collection is available on the Craft Consortium's website, Create & Craft TV and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Notions Marketing. The collection includes 4 x A6 stamp sets, a 12" x 12" and 6" x 6" paper pads, decoupage sets and embellishments etc.

You can also go direct to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update on any future product launches.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of yellow card and some of the pretty bee patterned paper from the pad and added them to the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge on both.

I stamped the beehive/birds and bees twice, once onto my colouring card and again onto masking paper (which I cut out). I die cut the version on colouring card into an oval and then placed the cut out mask over the beehive and birds, then using a cloud stencil and ink I created my background sky. When the sky was dry I removed the masks and coloured the image using Copic pens. I added the sentiment from the set beneath the scene.

The finished images was added to a yellow oval mount and funky foam was added to the back to create a topper. The topper was glued to the left hand side of the card front, and bee embellishments that I created using my cutting machine were added to the right hand side.

To complete the card I added glitter to the wings of all the bees.

I Used
Stamps: Birds & Bees
6" x 6" Paper Pad - Cottage Garden
12" x 12" Paper Pad - Cottage Garden

Copic Pens: Beehive - Y00, Y02, E71, E77 / Robins - E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, E53, R22, R27/ Flowers - BG10, BG11, RV02, RV06, Y00, Y15, Y17 / Grass - YG23, YG63 / Bees - Y00, Y15, Y17, BG00, BG10, BG11

The completed picture was glued behind a white die cut square fancy cut frame. Funky foam was added to the back of the topper and attached to the centre of the card front.

To finish the card I added a few gems to the bottom left of the card.

Craft Consortium - Cottage Garden #3

Hi everyone ðŸ’™

I know...I know I'm back again. Lol I'm so sorry, but I just can't help myself as I need to share another of my cards using the new collection from Craft Consortium called 'Cottage Garden' (in partnership with the lovely Helz Cuppleditch).

For this card I used the 'Cottage Garden' stamp set which is quite large; I used Copic pens to colour it up. On Monday I will share another of my Cottage Garden cards. If you have any questions about the collection, just leave me a message and your email address and I will get back to you. x

This beautiful collection was recently launched on Create & Craft TV and will be available to buy from them, along with the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites. In the USA, it will be distributed by Notions Marketing. The collection includes 4 x A6 stamp sets, a 12" x 12" and 6" x 6" paper pads, decoupage sets and embellishments etc.

You can also go to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update to this launch, and any future product launches.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of Kraft card attached it to the front of a 7" x 7" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

First I stamped the fence 3 times onto masking paper and fussy cut them out. I stamped the fence image on the left hand side of my colouring card and left a gap for the path, I then stamped the fence again on the right hand side. I placed the one of the mask over the top of the stamped fence and stamped it again, to create a continuous fence.

Covering the remaining fences with the masks I stamped the cottage. The cottage was stamped onto masking paper, fussy cut and placed over the stamped image on the card. Using distress ink and a cloud stencil I created the soft sky. When the sky was dry, I removed all the masks and coloured everything in with Copic pens. I drew some trees on either side of the cottage using a pen and coloured them with Copic Pens. To frame the scene I die cut it with a square die.

The completed image was attached to a brown die cut mat. Funky foam was added to the back of the topper, and then attached to the centre of the card front. To complete the card I added glossy accents to the windows and a stamped sentiment with a few hearts.

I Used
Stamps: Cottage Garden

Copic Pens:
Cottage Walls - E50, E51, E53 / Roof - E31, E33, E35, E37 / Chimney - E13, E50, E51, E99 / Window Frames, Door Frame, Trees & Grass - YG03, YF17, YG63 / Window Panes - B000, B00 / Fence & Path - W0, W1, W3 / Flowers - Y08, Y15, Y38, RV13, R22, R27, G12, G14, V01, V04, B00, B01

Craft Consortium - Cottage Garden Sneak Peak #2

Hi everyone ðŸ’™

I'm back with another sneak peak of the fabulous collection from Craft Consortium called 'Cottage Garden' (in partnership with the lovely Helz Cuppleditch). This beautiful collection will be launched on Create & Craft TV today (Thursday 5th March) @ 1.30pm UK time (8.30am EST time). The products will thereafter also be available to buy on the Craft Consortium's website and good craft retailer's websites, and in the USA (distributed by Notions Marketing). The collection includes 4 x A6 stamp sets, a 6" x 6" paper pad, decoupage sets etc.

For this card I used the 'Green Fingers' stamp set and coloured it up using Copic pens. I think this is my absolute favourite. What about you? Again, I will be back later with another look at the collection just after it launches. If you have any questions about the collection, just leave me a message and your email address and I will get back to you. x

I will add the links to the products after the launch, or you can also go to the Craft Consortium's website here and sign up for an update to this launch, and any future product launches.

Here's What I Did
Firstly I trimmed down an A5 top fold card blank to suit my project.

To create the double frame - I glued a piece of purple patterned paper onto some strong card and die cut into a rounded rectangle, then die cut the centre out using the larger of my 2 dies. Using more of the strong white card I die cut another rounded rectangle, and die cut the centre out of this one too, using the smaller of the 2 dies. To ensure I got the aperture placement right on both pieces of card, I worked out the centre point both horizontally and vertically and then drew a faint pencil lines on each of them. Next I worked out the centre point of each of the dies both horizontally and vertically and added a little pencil mark to them too, then all I had to do was line up them up on each cards and die cut out the centres (easy!!). The purple rectangle was glued over the top of the white rectangle to create the double frame, and funky foam was added to the back of it ready for the next step.

I stamped the cute rabbit image onto colouring card, and then onto masking paper which I cut out and placed over the top of the image on the card. I stamped the fence on both sides and then created masks for them too. While the rabbit image and fences were covered I created a cloudy sky using blue distress ink and a cloud stencil. When the ink was dry I removed the masking paper and coloured the image using my Copic pens.  When the image was complete I added this flat to the front of the card blank, then added the double frame over the top.

To complete the card I added die cut flowers and leaves along with a few pearls.

I Used
Stamps: Green Fingers

Copic Pens:
Rabbit - W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, R30 / Plant Pots - E31, E33, E35 / Wisteria - V01, V12, V15, V17 / Other Flowers - Y00, Y15, Y17, R22, R27, R32, RV02 / Grass - YG03, YG06, YG17 / Fence - E50, E51, E53, E57

Other: 5¾” x 7½” Card Blank, Grunge - Dark Tones Paper Pad (Craft Consortium), Copics, Make It Colour Card, ‘Cherish The Moment’ Die (Tonic), Cloud Stencil (MFT), Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Stitched Collection – Scallop Layered Rectangle Die (Creative Expressions), Finishing Touches – Perfect Peony Open & Complete Petals (Creative Expressions), Branch Die (The Works),  Lilac Card, White Card, Pearls, Black Hybrid Ink (Picket Fence), Funky Foam, Foam Pads, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Mask It Paper
