Lili Of The Valley - June Card #3

Hello my friends

Today, I'm sharing the 3rd of my June Lili Of The Valley cards, and I decided to create a CAS card for a little boy...or a big boy. So the gorgeous digi stamp I used today is called  James The Bear - Pirate, and I coloured him with colouring pencils. The sentiment I added was computer generated.  I hope you like it. x

A little reminder
Lili Of The Valley sadly no longer produce rubber stamps due to falling sales figures. The company now only produce digital stamps and Simply Prints (A4 sheets of pre-coloured images). I just love my digital stamps as they're fabulous and so versatile, they can be resized, flipped and rotated. If you need any help with digital stamps please just ask, simply leave me a message with your email address, and I will get back to you. Alternatively you can send me an email, my address shown on the right hand side.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
I completely covered the front of 5" x 5" white card with a piece of dark grey grunge paper.

Using my graphics software I imported and resized the James digi stamp and my own sentiment, then printed it directly onto colouring cardstock. The image was die cut it into a stitched rounded square. I coloured the image using colouring pencils.

The coloured topper was mounted onto a scalloped square from the same set, cut from black card. Foam tape was added to the back of the topper and attached to the center of the card front.

To finish the card 3 black pearls were glued to the top right of the card (all I can think of is 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' now. Lol).

Here's What I Used

Craft Consortium - Essential Dark Tones Paper Pad

Hi guys ðŸ’œ

This will be a short post as I'm fighting a throat virus, I've been poorly for almost 2 weeks and it has taken it's toll. Anyhow, I'll move on something much nicer....soooo for today's post I'm sharing my latest card made using another of the wonderful 12" x 12" 'Essential' paper pads from Craft Consortium. The double sided paper in the pads are 180gsm and are a beautiful quality, they die cut brilliantly.

For my card I used 2 of the beautiful papers from the 'Grunge - Dark Tones' paper pad. This pad is wonderfully moody and perfect for masculine, grunge or steam punk type cards, but equally I think they look fabulous when used in a more feminine style, as in my card. As soon as I'm fit and well I will create another card using this pad, and a couple of projects using the 'Tropical Paradise pad' so please check back to see them.

All the links to the specific Craft Consortium products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I completely covered the front of an 7" x 7" card with one of the dark grey papers.

From black card I die cut a fancy edged square along with it's pretty matching ornate frame and added glitter to each of the corners. The frame was glued flat into the centre of the card front.

Using one of the lighter grey papers I die cut 5 flower shapes - 3 large, 1 medium and 1 small, then shaped and inked the edges of each of the petals. The shapes were glued together starting with the largest shapes, then the medium and lastly the small, each layer was slightly offset from the other. A black gem was added in the centre and added to the front of the card along with 2 flourishes die cut from green glitter card. The word 'Believe' and tiny flowers were die cut from the same pale grey paper used for the flower, and added the centre of the black frame.
.
To complete the card, black pearls were added to the card front along with tiny gems in the centres of the flowers.

I used
Paper Pad: Craft Consortium - 12" x 12" The Essential Craft Papers' Paper Pad Collection (used 'Dark Tones' Pad), Always & Forever - Moss Green A4 Non Shed Green Glitter Card

Dies: Creative Expressions New York Collection 'Union Square' & 'Blossom Patch', Make & Cut 'Believe' Sentiment, Cheery Lynn Designs ' Fanciful Flourish', Tim Holtz/Sizzix 'Tattered Florals'

Other:
7" x 7" White Card Blank, Black Distressing Ink, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Black Crystal Gem, Black Pearls, Mini Crystal Gems

A piece of patterned paper was trimmed down to cover the front of a 5" x 7" card blank. Using my graphics software I imported the cute bear digi stamp and one of the sentiments, then resized and printed it directly onto colouring cardstock. The image was die cut it into a stitched rounded rectangle. I sponged blue and pink colour cloud ink around the edges and purposely made circular splodge marks. When the ink was dry I coloured the image using Copic pens.

The coloured topper was mounted onto a scalloped rectangle from the same set, cut from pink card. Foam tape was added to the back of the topper and attached to the card front towards the top.

Three die cut flowers were added to the top left of the topper. To finish the card glitter was added to the centre of the flower, and a few few pink lustre pearls were glued to the bottom of the card.

Craft Consortium - Herbarium #2

Hello my friends ðŸ’œ

I have another Craft Consortium project to share with you, and again I'm using the beautiful Herbarium collection. For today's project I decided to create a pop-up box using the paper pad and the gorgeous non-shed glitter sheets from Craft Consortium. The papers are beautiful and thick, and some have a glossy accents look about them. The theme of the pad is herbs, so there's plenty of greenery and jars etc, it would be excellent to make a card or project for the gardener, naturalist or herbalist in the family. The Herbarium collection also includes stamps and metal embellishments. I hope you like it.

If you would like to make a pop-up box I do have free to use instructions on my 'Tutorial' page, or use the link below.

All the links to the specific Craft Consortium products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I used an A4 sheet of black card to create the box and struts.

To help you make a box I have designed a few templates using different measurements types for you - click the link here to go to my Box Card Templates.  The instructions are a bit lengthy...sorry, but they do have illustrations. You can open, download and/or save it.

Before the box was assembled I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper from the pad to make the panels for the back, sides and flaps, these were then glued into place. Using another sheet of the patterned paper I die cut 3 pictures of  herbs into rounded oblongs and mounted them onto black card and added to the flaps. When the box was assembled I die cut pretty borders from pale green card and glued them to each of the struts to give interest.

Butterflies were die cut from a piece of complimentary paper and green glitter card, these were attached to strips of acetate using red liner tape and then onto the struts inside the box at heights. The watering can images inside the paper pad's front cover were fussy cut out and also added to the box.

To finish off I punched out 3 mini butterflies from green glitter card and added them to each of the panels.

FYI, if you want to make the box height and/flaps slightly larger or smaller just increase or decease the measurements I've given you. Any questions just email me...have fun!

I used
Paper Pad: Craft Consortium - 12" x 12" 'Herbarium' Paper Pad Collection
Card: Always & Forever - Forest Green Non-Shed Glitter Card

Other:
Black Card, Double Sided Tape, Glue, Green Textured Card, Tattered Lace 'Autumn Border', Diamond Press 'Fashion' and 'Enjoy The Ride' Dies, Mini Butterfly Punch, Acetate, Red Liner Tape

Craft Consortium - Herbarium Card #1

Hi there ðŸ’œ

Today I'm sharing my latest design team card for Craft Consortium using the Herbarium 12" X 12" paper pad. The papers are beautiful and thick, and some have a glossy accents look to them. The theme of the pad is herbs, so there's plenty of greenery and jars etc, it would be excellent to make a card or project for the gardener or herbalist  in the family. The Herbarium collection also includes stamps and metal embellishments, both of which I have used on my card. I hope you like it.

All the links to the specific Craft Consortium products can be found below, and the link to the general store is here.

Here's What I Did
I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper to 5½" x 5½" to cover the front of my 5¾" x 5¾" black card blank (the packaging says it's a 6" x 6" card), leaving a slim border around the edge.

I die cut a white circle and stamped the words 'Love Herbs' on the right side of it, then mounted it onto a fancy circle cut from green glitter card.

Using black ink I stamped the jar and herb image onto colouring card, coloured with Copics and fussy cut them out. Clear lacquer was added to the jar to make it shiny. When everything was dry they were both added to a white die cut circle using foam pads. The circle topper was added flat to the card front.

Using a pokey took I created a hole at the top left and attached one of the metal embellishments using a dark coloured brad. To complete the card I added green and white pearls.

I used
Paper Pad: Craft Consortium - 12" x 12" 'Herbarium' Paper Pad Collection
Stamp: 'Herbs' and 'Utensils'
Embellishments: 'Scissors'
Card: Always & Forever  - Forest Green Non-Shed Glitter Card

Other:
5¾" x 5¾" black card blank (the packaging says it's a 6" x 6" card), White Card, Neenah Card,  Versafine Black Ink, Copic Pens, Foam Pad, Double Sided Tape, Green & White Pearls, Cosmic Shimmer Lacquer

Copics
Jar - B0000, B000, B00 / Herbs - YG03, YG11, YG17, G95
