Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - WK 4

Good day everyone 💜

I'm sharing one of my latest Whimsy Stamps Design Team cards with you. I decided to go all shabby chic with this pretty floral paper and sentiment. I used one of the papers from the 'Lilac Woods' digital paper collection which are absolutely gorgeous, and one of the digital sentiments from the 'Garden Sentiments' sheet (there's 12 sentiments in total on the sheet), plus some of my own  flower dies.

All the links to the Whimsy products can be seen below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
I printed out the digital patterned paper and trimmed it to fit a purple card mat  5¼" x 5¼" (leaving a border around the edge), this was layered onto a lilac card mat 5½" 5½" and then attached to the front of a 6" x 6" card blank.

Using my graphics program I created a lilac heart shape and added the digital sentiment inside, this was then printed and cut out. Foam pads were added to the back of the heart and attached to the card front.

Die cut flowers and leaves were added to the top section of the heart using complimentary coloured card.  Pearls in varying sizes were glued into place to finish off the card.

Here's What I Used
Digital Paper: 'Lilac Woods'
Digital Sentiment: 'Garden Sentiments'

Other:
Lilac, Purple, Blue and Green Card, 6" x 6" Card Blank, Foam Pads, Graphics Program, Creative Expressions 'Camellia Complete Petal' Dies, The Works 'Leaves' Dies, Pearls

I hope my card will inspire you and make you think of springtime. I'll see you next week with more Whimsy wonderfulness.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - #103 (Wk 3)

Evening everyone 💜

I'm here a little late today sharing my Whimsy Stamps Challenge Design Team card with you today.  I've been sorting out family stuff, which unfortunately comes before crafting...crazy eh!

Anyhow for my challenge card this month I'm resharing a card I made in 2017. I'm doing this for 2 reasons, one is that this is the first card I made for Whimsy Stamps and the other is because I adore the paper and sentiment I used....and oh yes it's in my favourite colour too.

Right then....information about our Challenge. We have one every month, and the theme is usually Anything Goes, so come on and get joining. We'd so love to see your creations and all the girls will pop by and say hi...plus you might even win a prize. Yay! Click here to upload your project, and check out my lovely teamies work..

Here's What I Did
Using a graphics program I printed out one of the beautiful digital papers by Tracy Wray onto super smooth paper; then printed out one of the sentiments onto white card and die cut it into a circle. Part of the sentiment was colour changed using the colour picker in the graphics program (the colour was picked up from aqua tone in the pretty patterned paper).

A piece of silver mirror card was cut to 4.75" x 4.75" and matted with a piece of patterned paper cut to 4.5" x 4.5", both were added to the card front. The die cut sentiment circle was added to a fancy circle mat die cut from aqua card, this was attached to the card front using foam pads to give it dimension..

Poinsettias, holly leaves and branches were die cut from white pearlised card, blue and silver glitter card and aqua card and then glued around the sentiment circle. To finish the card, stars and gems were placed around the sentiment, and large gems added to the flower centres.

Here's What I Used
Digital Papers: 'Accents Of Winter 3' Paper Collection
Digital Stamps: Christmas Trimming Sentiments

Other:
Pearlised Card, Silver Mirror Card, White Card, Blue & Silver Glitter Card, Layered Poinsettia Die (Spellbinder), Holiday Greens (Sizzix), Circle Doily Edge Die (Tattered Lace), Double Stitched Circle Die (Crealies), Gems, Star Punch (Tonic), Core'dinations Card, Foam Pads, Graphics Program,

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - January 2018 (Wk 2)

Hello lovely peeps 💜

I'm here again sharing a fabulous Whimsy Stamp Design Team card with you. I love this digital image of this wordart heart (oh dear that's not easy to say!) and love sentiment, and I simply couldn't resist combining them together to create a CAS card. I think this would make a brilliant but simple card for the man in your life.

All the links to the Whimsy products can be seen below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
Using a graphics program the 'Love' sentiment  was enlarged and overlaid across the heart image on a jaunty angle, The image was then printed  out and die cut into a square. The word 'Love' was covered with glossy accents and left to dry.

When the topper was dry it was matted onto red and black card, and added to the card front using foam pads. To complete the card 3 red gems were added to the card front in the bottom right corner.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp and Sentiment: 'Love You' Sheet
(Print out the full sheet or merge sentiments with images in a photo edit program)

Other:
13.5cm x 13.5cm Scalloped Card Blank, Black, Red & White Card, Glossy Accents, Red Gems, Crealies XXL Stitched Edge Square Die, Foam Pads, Graphics Program, Foam Pads

I'll see you all next week with more Whimsy wonderfulness.

Whimsy Stamps Design Team - January 2018 Release #2

Hi there 💜

Today I'm here to share the 2nd of Whimsy Stamps new January release digi stamps.  Both the pig and the sentiment are part of a sheet of other images and sentiments so it's good value for money. Isn't it the cutest pig ever!!

To show the little pig off I went for a CAS design and kept the colours simple. I coloured this over Christmas period while staying with my daughter so my pencil collection was extremely limited, but it does show that we can all colour using only a few pencils. All the links to the Whimsy products can be seen below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
The pig and sentiment were printed onto a piece of Kraft card and die cut it into a square. The pig was coloured in using pencils - the pencils were used to blend, no solution was used. White pencil was added first to give the highlighted area, then colour and shade were gradually added. To finish the image crystal glitter was added to the red heart.

The coloured in topper was matted onto some pink card, and a die cut frame was glued around the pig. The completed topper was attached to the 5" x 5" Kraft card base using foam pads to give it dimension.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamps: 'Love Me Tender' Digital Sentiment Sheet (this contains the sentiment and pig)

Other: Kraft Card, Pink Card, Inverted Scalloped Frame Die (Spellbinder), XXL Stitched Edge Square Die (Crealies), Foam Pads, Graphics Program, Lyra Pencils, Caran D'ache White Pencil

I'll be back next week with more fabulousness. So thank you so much for dropping by, don't forget to say hi :)

Whimsy Stamps Design Team - January 2018 Release #1

Happy New Year to you all 💜

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. My poor hubbie had to work away all over Christmas and I won't see him until later this week. So this year, I stayed with my daughter and her partner, their love and kindness helped me though a difficult time. We spent the time laughing and talking until the wee small hours. I spent New Year on my own, but I did spend it productively. Instead of feeling sad, I crafted with some gorgeous new images for the January release from Whimsy Stamps.

So today I'm sharing the 1st of my Whimsy Stamps Design Team cards with you using this cute little bunny. All the links to the Whimsy products can be found below. I hope you like it.

Here's What I Did
I used a 5" x 6" card base for my card, this was cut down from a 5" x 7" card blank to fit the frame. I die cut the frame twice from pink card and glued them together. Next I die cut 2 clouds from white and pink vellum and cut them down to fit inside the frame, making one slightly bigger than the other.

Using a graphics program I added the bunny and sentiment onto the digital patterned paper, and resized everything to fit the frame (nb I made the paper slightly larger than the inside area of the frame). The paper was printed out and cut down to size, this was then attached to the card front. Glitter was added to the sentiment in the top left hand corner. The clouds were also added to the card front by only lightly gluing the very edges of the sides and bottom.

The bunny image was printed onto colouring card, coloured with Copics and cut out. The images was glued directly over the top of the images printed onto the patterned paper. The process was repeated with the tiny heart.

To complete the card the pink frame was glued directly over the patterned paper, and tiny die cut hearts were glued around the clouds.

Here's What I Used
Digital Papers: 'Amour' Paper Collection
Digital Stamps: 'Love Me Tender' Digital Sentiment Sheet and 'Love You' Sheet

Other:
5" x 7" Card Blank (cut down to size), Pink Card, Colouring Card (Joanna Sheen), Puffy Cloud Border Die (Lawn Fawn), Rectangle Doily Die (Tattered Lace), Bunting Die (Joanna Sheen), Crystal Glitter, Pink & White Vellum, Graphics Program

Copics: Bunny & Heart - RV000, RV00, RV02 / Cloud - CO - C02
