Crafter's Companion 'Inspirers' Design Team - February Project #2

Good afternoon everyone

Well I'm here today to share the 2nd of my February Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you, unfortunately there won't be a 3rd this month as I'm 'mummy sitting'. I'm looking after my  mum after heart surgery and can't access my crafty stuff. I did bring bits and bobs with me, but not enough to make full projects plus my time is limited.

Anyhow, on seeing these gorgeous stamps I had decided that I had to stamp and colour onto black card, and I definitely think it works .  Thanks for looking 💚

 Here's What I Did
Using matt black card I created a small side fold card. Next I cut down a piece of matt black card to size and stamped some of the flowers using Versamark ink and added clear embossing power over the top. and heat embossed it. I repeated the process by masking some of the flowers so that they would appear behind others. To make the masks I stamped the flowers onto the sticky edge of a post-it note and cut them out. When all of the flowers were added I painted them with white ink first, then when the ink was dry I coloured them with pencils. Next I stamped and embossed the sentiment with gold glitter embossing powder.

The completed panel was mounted onto the gold mirror card, and added to the card front using foam tape. To finish off I added white dots to the flowers and gold dots around the flower spray, along with a few glitter enamel dots.

Here's What I Used

Crafter's Companion 'Inspirers' Design Team - February Project #1

Good morning everyone

Well I'm here today to share the 1st of my February Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you. Wow, February all ready...where on earth did January go? Boy, I must've blinked and missed it.

My first project is using the fabulous Crafter's Inspiration Spring Edition kit (Issue #13). In the kit you receive a magazine crammed with inspirational projects, a CD-Rom full of papers, digi stamps and kits, a stamp set, embossing folder and flower die. Then to top it all a DVD full of tips and tutorials from Spectrum Noir....I did say it was a fabulous kit.

As soon I spotted the digi stamp of the daisies I knew I had to create something CAS and fresh with them because they reminded me of a summer's day. So I've tried my hand at a little bit of parching (parchment craft), well my version of it anyway.

I have to admit my teamies have loved these little flowers, and have created a lot of projects using them as you will see over the coming month. There's a small version of the actual stamp in the kit, plus a digital stamp version on the CD-Rom (which is what I used). The A6 version of the stamp is by Leonie Pujol and is available from the Crafter's Companion store here.  Thanks for looking 💚

Here's What I Did
I trimmed a piece of aqua card and a piece of Neenah card to fit the scalloped card blank. I carefully measured each piece of card including the blank to find the centre, then die cut a circle into each one card. The measuring was done to ensure they would all be in the same place.

I printed the daisies from the CD-Rom onto a piece of parchment in a pale grey. I carefully coloured the daisies onto the front of the parchment, then went on to embossing onto the back of the parchment to create the white work that can be seen on the front. When it was finished I embossed dots around the daisies and sandwiched the finished piece between the white card front and the aqua card, both pieces were then glued to the card front - making sure that all the circle apertures lined up perfectly. I used the die cut aqua circle on the inside of the card blank to add some colour behind the parchment. To finish off I added a few pearls.

Here's What I Used
Crafter's Companion Products Crafter's Inspiration Magazine  Issue #13 CD-Rom, ColourBlend Pencils - Mauve, Denim Blue,  Bumblebee, Saffron, Citrus, Avocado, Shammock, Peacock Green
Core'dinations 'Pastel' Pad, Neenah Card

Crafter's Companion 'Inspirers' Design Team - January Project #3

Good morning everyone

Hi there, I'd love to share the last of my January Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you. It's something a little bit different for me, you see in our Design Team brief we were asked to 'try something new'.....so I did. Yep, I plumbed for a sewing kit from Debbie Shore; the kits are so cool because apart from needles and pins everything else is included in the box. The little owls Mr & Mrs Hoot are so easy to make and really cute when they're finished. Why not give the kits a go! Thanks for looking 💚

Here's What I Did
I unboxed all the content, carefully read all the instructions and then cut all the owl segments from the paper pattern. Starting with Mr Hoot I pinned all the owl shapes to the fabric and cut them out. Then using the included thread I stitched the front and back together, stuffed as instructed and closed him up. To finish off I added the eyes.

I repeated the same process for Mrs Hoot, but to add a little extra detail I die cut a flower from felt and added it to her head with a mini button.

Here's What I Used

Other: Needle, Pins, Scissors. Coloured Felt, Button

Crafter's Companion Inspirers Design Team - January Project #2

Evening everyone

Well I'm here today to share another of my January 2017 Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you. I decided to use an accordion die to create a 3 panel card incorporating printable images from the Catitude CD-Rom. To compliment the images I use a red and black colourway. Hope you like, t
hanks for looking 💚

Here's What I Did
I die cut 3 panels from black card and 3 from red mirror card which I trimmed down and matted onto the black. The toppers were printed from the Catitude CD-Rom toppers along with a Valentine sentment written by moi, these were then die cut into circles and matted onto scallop circles. The finished toppers were glued onto each of the panels which were then glued together to form the accordion. To finish off I glitter and tiny die cut hearts to the toppers.

Here's What I Used
Crafter's Companion Products - Catitude CD-Rom, Die'sire Circle Accordion DieMatt Black Card, Diamond Press 'Love Today' Dies, Gemini,

Other: Red Mirror Card, Glitter, Printer Paper, Printer
