Sweet Stampin' - Christmas Presents

Hello and good morning everyone ---

After being hit here in the UK by 'Storm Desmond' I hope you are all safe and well, and manage to avoid or at least survive the awful floods and gale force winds we've had. I feel I'm one of the lucky ones here in my part of North East England, as we only suffered from the effects of the gale force winds but thankfully no rain. With all that and all the other awful news in the headlines recently my daughter came up with a great mantra for us to live by - Be Safe. Be Vigilant. Be Strong.

Anyhow onto happier things it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Christmas Presents' and remember you MUST include a stamped element on your card/project.

For my card this week I used a freebie stamp from a cardmaking magazine, I think I've had it since last Christmas time or maybe the Christmas before that. I have to say it's very cute - I coloured it with Copic, Pro & Flexmarkers.

Here's What I Did
I matted a 5" x 7" white card base with some Christmas patterned paper. Next I stamped the cute little puppy onto some colouring card stock, and coloured with Copics pens, Pro & Flexmarkers. The finished image was then die cut into a rectangle and matted onto some crimson card, this was then attached to the card base.  Glitter was used on the presents and flower, and a few glitter dots were added around the image .

To finish off I attached a die cut poinsettia and tag. I also gave the puppy a glossy nose and eyes using a clear glaze pen.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Wild Rose Studio 'Tilly's Christmas', LOTV 'Sentiment Tags'
Copics: Dog - W0, W1, W3, W5, W7 Leaves, Plant Pot & Green Present - YG03, YG11, G21, G85 / Flower, Red Present & Ribbon - R02, R14, R29, R32
Pro & Flexmarkers: Brown Present, Tag, Flower Wrap - Ivory, Linen, Putty, Nutmeg
Dies: Crealies 'Stitched XXL Rectangle', Spellbinders 'Poinsetta'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Neenah, First Edition 'Nordic Christmas' Paper Pad
Other: Glitter, Glitter Dots, Distressing Ink, Clear Glaze Pen, Martha Stewart 'Branch' Punch

Sweet Stampin - Sparkle & Shine

Hello and good morning everyone ---

JUST A LITTLE ADDITION - SORRY IT'S LATE GIRLS!

Can I wish everyone on the Sweet Stampin' Design Team a very Happy 6th Birthday - we rock!!! :)

Well I don't know about you but I definitely saw a touch of the white stuff the other day (here in the UK). It was just as I headed off to my bed in the wee small hours that I noticed that there was a full blown blizzard quietly going on. I did expect to wake up to a few inches of snow....but NO it had totally disappeared into the night. Me thinks it was probably for the best :)

Anyhow it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Sparkle & Shine' - remember you MUST include a stamped element on your card/project.

For my CAS card this week I created a scene on watercolour cardstock using some of my new uber cute Purple Onion stamps and coloured pencils. I adore this stamp, I spotted it earlier in the year and ordered it from the USA in the summer; it's taken me all this time to actually play with it. The stamps are deeply etched in red rubber and stamp beautifully. Purple Onion have such gorgeous sweet characters - I love them.

Here's What I Did
I matted a 5" x 7" white scalloped card base with patterned paper. Next I stamped my cute image directly onto some watercolour card and die cut it into a rectangle. The image was coloured with Rembrandt Lyra pencils. The cloudy sky was created by using an old die cut cloud border then using it as a guide I coloured above it. The finished coloured image was attached to the right hand side of the card base, and glitter added to the dandelion clocks.

To finish off I made 3 fish tail banners from the patterned paper and attached them to the card together with a tag and die cut flower.

Here's What I Used
Stamp - 'Wishing' & 'Sunny Blooms' Purple Onion Stamps, LOTV 'Sentiment Tags'
Lyra Rembrandt Pencils - Sky/clouds - Light Blue, Prussian Blue, Dark Carmine / Mouse - Gold Ochre, Burnt Ochre, Venetian Red, Van Dyke Brown, Black Medium, Dark Sepia, Rose Carmine, Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine / Dress - Lemon, Canary Yellow, Light Orange / Tights - Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine, Black Medium / Dandelion Heads - Canary Yellow, Lemon, Light Orange, Pale Geranium Cake, Dark Carmine, Rose Carmine / Dandelion Leaves & Grass - Apple Green, Moss Green, Dark Sepia, Canary Yellow, Sap Green
Dies - Crealies 'Stitched XXL Rectangle', Creative Expressions 'Camellia-Complete  Petals'
Paper & Cardstock (CS) - Watercolour CS, LOTV 'Heartfelt' Paper Pad
Other - Glitter, Black Fineliner Pen, Gem

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Sparkle & Shine' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

Sugar Nellie - Holly

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Well, it's Wednesday and my turn to share my Sugar Nellie card with you. This week I'm using one the new mini Gorjuss stamps, she's called Holly and she's available to buy from Funkykits. There's quite a few in the collection, as the name dictates they're 'mini' - they're made from red rubber and stamp beautifully. Now despite Holly's name she isn't actually a Christmas stamp but as you can see below I have used mine to create a festive....ish non-traditional coloured Christmas card. Hope you like it :)

Here's What I Did
I matted and layered 2 patterned co-ordinating papers onto a 7" x 7" card base, and added a strip of coloured card as a border across them both. To create the pretty frame I die cut a rectangle from crisp white card along with 2 fancy square frames. The fancy frames were then cut up and glued to the rectangle edges to create a border, I also added a little bit of glitter into the embossed corner pieces.

The image was stamped directly onto some watercolour card and die cut it into a rectangle, this was then coloured with watercolouring pens. I added a touch of glitter to the snowy hills and glued the completed topper directly onto the frame; this was then attached to my card base.

To finish off I added a stamped Christmas tag and a few die cut snowflakes.

Here's What I Used
Stamps: 'Holly' #19 available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits, LOTV 'Christmas Tags'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): White & Aqua CS, Watercolouring CS, LOTV 'Beach Bliss', Pink Glitter Card
Spectrum Aqua Pens: Face - Peach, Topaz, Blossom / Hair - Charcoal, Black / Dress, Boots, Hat - Sea Green, Kingfisher, Evergreen / Tights - Blossom, rose Pink / Snowy Hills - Aquamarine, Teal / Sky - Aquamarine, Blossom
Dies: Creative Expressions 'New York Collection - Union Square', Lawn Fawn 'Mini Snowflakes'

Sweet Stampin' - Wrap Up Warm

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Anyhoo it's that time of the week again - it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our theme this week is quite topical weather-wise...here in the UK we definitely need to start wrapping up. The theme is 'Wrap up Warm' (Hat, scarf, coats etc) - remember you MUST include a stamped element on your card/project.

This is my card which I painted with my brand new Spectrum Noir Aqua pens - I wasn't sure if I was going to like them, but I love them. I'm impressed with the pigment and the range of vibrant colours in the packs. I added loads of glitter and crystal glitter snow to the finished picture but unfortunately the camera isn't picking it up very well. I also added my new Christmassy watermark - created by moi :)

Here's What I Did
I matted a 7" x 7" white card base with festive patterned paper. Next I printed the sweet digital image directly onto some watercolour card and die cut into a square. The image was coloured with Aqua marker pens - these pens are new to me and although the background looks pale it has been painted with pale pink and blue colours (next time I think I will make it a little darker for the camera).

The finished image was matted and layered onto co-ordinating card and attached to the card base. I added crystal glitter and snow to the trees, hat and ground. To finish off I used a gold pen on the wreath and added a die cut poinsettia in the top left corner.

Here's What I Used
Stamp - 'Toby Tumble - Got Something For You' Cuddly Buddly
Spectrum Noir Aqua Pens - Sky - Blossom, Aquamarine / Bears - Topaz, Desert, Fawn, Chestnut / Tree - Fawn, Desert, Terracotta, Chestnut, Chocolate / Fir Trees & Bush - Moss, Evergreen, Boulder / Wreath - Moss, Evergreen, Gold, Scarlet / Door & Curtains - Blossom, Scarlet, Burgundy, Chestnut / Doorway Path - Boulder / Snow - Aquamarine, Boulder / Hat & Coat - Aquamarine, Moss, Evergreen / Jeans - Aquamarine, Navy, Peacock Blue / Scarf - Aquamarine, Gold, Teal / Presents - Blossom, Scarlet, Gold / Sled - Boulder, Chestnut, Scarlet
Dies - Spellbinder 'Poinsettia', Crealies 'Stitched XXL Square'
Paper & Cardstock (CS) - Cerise, Green, Off White, LOTV 'Woodland Wishes'
Other - Martha Stewart 'Fern' Punch, Glitter, Crystal Snow, Gold & Red Glitter Pen

So why not drop by the Sweet Stampin' Challenge blog and check out what my fab Design Team girlies have made to inspire you. So come on why not join in with the fun and enter your card/project into our 'Wrap up Wrap (Hat, Scarf, Coats etc)' challenge we'd love to see your entries.

Sugar Nellie - My Friend Flakey Bauble

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Good morning, I hope you had a wonderful and fun Halloween, and if you're in the UK a brilliant Bonfire night despite the awful weather we've had.
As this is our Day of Remembrance, please give a thought to all our brave and wonderful hero's both living and departed (including my granddad), that risked and continue to risk their lives in the pursuit of peace. WE THANK YOU!
Well, it's Wednesday and my turn to share my Sugar Nellie make with you. So this week I thought I would make the boy version of the little Christmas bauble I made recently. This time I've used 'My Friend Flakey', which is available as a digital stamp from Funkykits.
I apologise in advance for the photograph quality of the baubles. Unfortunately it's not fantastic as I had to turn off the camera flash and my overhead light to try and avoid the reflection in the plastic bauble.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I die cut 2 blue scallop circles from card for the back of my bauble. Next I printed the image onto colouring cardstock along with a sentiment and die cut it into a circle, distressed the edge and attached it to one of the scallop circles. The image was coloured with Copic Markers, and I added some white dots around it to add a little interest along with a few die cut glittery snowflakes.  Using strong glue PVA I smeared a small amount around the rim of the bauble I attached it to the circles.
To stop the bauble from tipping forward I added a little extra weight by gluing a few coins to the back, I used the remaining die cut scalloped circle to hide them using foam tape.  To finish off I added a length of Bakers Twine and a ribbon.
Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'My Friend Flakey' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Blue CS, Colouring CS
Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, R20 / Scarf, Patches, Hat Trim & Jumper  - R05, R20, R22, R27, R37 / Hair & Snowman's Hat - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Snow & Snowman - B0000, B000, C0 / Jeans - B0000, B000, B12, B45 / Jacket, Boots, Gloves & Boy's Hat - BG000, BG10, BG13, BG34 / Snowman's Nose - Y35, Y38 / Shadows - C0, C1 / Leaf - G99
Dies: Tonic 'Circles Scallop' Die, Tattered Lace 'Circle' Die, Lawn Fawn 'Mini Snowflakes'
Other: Glitter, Serif CraftArtist 2, White Pen, Distressing Ink, Ribbon, Baker's Twine, 1/2 Fillable Bauble, Pennies, Foam Tape

Sweet Stampin' Dies And/Or Punches

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Anyhoo it's that time of the week again - it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team project with you. So as our fabby theme this week 'Dies And/or Punches'(plus a stamped element) I decided to create an autumnal tag.  As you may know I love this time of the year, I adore all the gorgeous colours it creates so this was a great opportunity to use them in my project.

In my tag I used a mixture of distressing inks, gilding flakes, dies and a stamp etc.

Here's What I Did (sorry it's text heavy)
To start with I used a 4.75” x 8” tag. I created the tag background by blending several distressing inks (DI) together; I started with patches of Mustard Seed, then Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick and Pickled Raspberry blending them together as I went along. Gradually I added more and more ink until I was happy with the result.  Using a stencil I sponged Peeled Paint DI in different areas around the tag and to create even more depth I used Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Black Soot DI around the edges and in the corners.

To create contrast on the tag I die cut an oval decorative frame, a flourish and some small flowers from black card. I also die cut several leaves from white card and coloured them using the same distressing inks and method as before. To create interest and texture I stamped text onto both the tag and the leaves using a strong glue and copper gilding flakes. Then using the already glue soaked applicator I splodged (technical term! J ) randomly onto the tag surface and around the edges and added even more flakes.

To make the large focal flower I die cut 2 large flower shapes and one small one from a beautiful autumnal patterned paper; each flower was shaped by hand and inked at the edges. The layers were glued together to form the final flower and to complete the look I added a small ceramic embellishment in the centre.

To assemble the tag I started by gluing the frame, the large leaves and the flourish in place. Next I added the large flower, the small leaves and some of the black flowers. Using my computer I created the text banners which I printed and cut out then inked around the edges, these were also glued into place on the tag.

To finish off I added a little metallic ink on the ceramic embellishment using a pen, and attached the last few flowers and a couple of pearls.
Here's What I Used
Distressing Inks - Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick, Pickled Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Black Soot
Stamp - Inkylicious ‘Latin Script’
Dies - Spellbinders ‘Floral Ovals’. Sizzix ‘Tattered Florals & ‘Tattered Leaves’, Tonic ‘Ovals’, Marianne Designs ‘B117 Fanciful Flourish’, Creative Expressions ‘Camellia – Complete Petal’
Paper & Cardstock (CS) - White CS, Black CS, My Mind’s Eye ‘Vintage Charm’
Other - Dekromount Tag, Pearls, Copper Gilding Flakes, Flitterglu, Copper Sharpie Pen, Mask ‘Ivy Background’, Serif CraftArtist 2

Sugar Nellie - Time for Walkies

- Hello Sugar Fans -
I hope you're all well and no cold sniffles. I don't know about you but I love autumn with all the fab colours about, but some days there's a definite nip in the air so I guess winter is most definitely on the way. Thankfully I don't mind the winter months but I have to admit to not liking it when the days are dark and grey....but I guess it just mean I'll have to craft more. :)
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday and Sugar Nellie day, and my turn to share a card with you.  So this week I thought I would use another gorgeous 'All Dressed Up' digital stamp, this one is called 'Time For Walkies' and she's available from Funkykits.

Here's What I Did
I used a 6" x 6" scallop card blank - I embossed a piece of blue patterned paper using a snowflake embossing folder, and and matted it onto the card base. I printed my image directly onto my colouring cardstock and coloured it with Copic Markers, to add a little background I added various sized dots. I then die cut 2 frames from blue and pink card using several square dies and layered them up on the card base. The coloured topper was inserted inside the frame.

To finish off I added white dots to her scarf and a few glittery die cut snowflakes and pearls.
Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Time for Walkies' All Dressed Up digital stamp available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Craftwork Super Smooth Digital CS, Topsy Turvy CS, First Edition 'Silent Night' Paper Pad, Glitter CS
Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E02 / Scarf - R81, R85, RV34 / Coat & Hat - B0000, B00, B02, B45, BV29 / Hair - C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, 100

Sweet Stampin' - Antiques Roadshow (Old Stamp)

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Anyhoo it's that time of the week again - it's my turn to share my Sweet StampinDesign Team card with you. Our super theme this week is 'Antiques Roadshow (Old Stamp)' - so erm, basically use an old stamp. I just know you've got loads of old stamps tucked away in your crafty drawers (ooo err missus) that you haven't used in ages or maybe have old digital stamps stored in computer folders that haven't seen the light of day for years. So dust them off and get cracking!

For my 'Old Stamp' card I used a Fizzy Moon stamp that I bought a few years and never got around to using it. This was actually made for a close friend's birthday and I used Copics to colour her in. I love these little guys, they're all just so cute.

Here's What I Did
I used an 7" x 7" white card base which I matted and layered with some patterned paper. I stamped the Fizzy Moon characters and my sentiment onto some colouring card and die cut it to size, everything was coloured with Copic pens. The finished picture was matted onto complimentary card and attached to the card base.

To finish off I added a touch of glitter, a few gems and crystal dots.

Here's What I Used
Stamp:  Fizzy Moon 'Birthday Treats' and Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler'
Dies: MFT 'Blueprint 14'
Paper/Cardstock (CS):  LOTV 'Perfect Pairs' Paper Pad, Pink 7 Beige CS
Copics: Fizzy Moon Fur - E31,E33,  E41, E43, E53 /Rabbit Fur - W0, W1, W2, W3, W5 / Neck chief & Fork - RV00, RV10, R20 / Rabbit Button - E41, E43, E53 / Fizzy Moon Flower & Button - RV00, RV10, R20 / Hat - RV00, RV10, RV13, R20 / Cake & Plate - RV00, RV10, RV13, YG03, W0, W1, W3 Ground - C0, C1 / Outline - B0000

Sugar Nellie - Princess

- Hello Sugar Fans -
I hope you're all fine and dandy. I hope it's lovely wherever you are. Well I don't know about you but it felt decidedly cold here today, in fact it felt like winter; mind you it was glorious here the other day, it was like a summer days. I don't know.....good old British weather lol.
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday and my turn to share my Sugar Nellie make with you. So this week I thought I would make a little Christmas bauble --- well why not! I used the ever so pretty 'Princess', which is available as a digital stamp from Funkykits.  I've never actually used her before, but I just think she's so sweet and I adore her dress, and of course I had to make it sparkly. A girl needs some glitter in her life --- don't you think!
I apologise in advance for the photograph quality of the baubles. Unfortunately it's not fantastic as I had to turn off the camera flash and my overhead light to try and avoid the reflection in the plastic bauble. Also the plastic seems to have distorted the image slightly making it a little blurry - so if I can take some better pictures I'll upload them in their place.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I die cut 2 pink scallop circles from card for the back of my bauble. Next I printed the image onto colouring cardstock along with a sentiment and die cut it into a circle, distressed the edge and attached it to one of the scallop circles. I printed out a further 2 images and coloured them all with Copic Markers and then fussy cut out the parts I wanted. The 'Princess' image was layered up onto the base image, then glitter and a gem was added to her dress. I placed a few die cut glittery stars and white dots around her to add a little interest.
Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Princess' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Pink CS, Colouring CS
Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30, R20 / Dress & Shoes - R000, R11, R20, R22 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99
Dies: Tonic 'Circles Scallop' Die, Tattered Lace 'Circle' Die, Lawn Fawn 'Mini Snowflakes'
Other: Glitter, Gems, Serif CraftArtist 2, White Pen, Distressing Ink, Ribbon, Baker's Twine, 1/2 Fillable Bauble, Pennies, Foam Tape

Sweet Stampin' - Wheels

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well that's me back from my fabulous holiday in Majorica. Basically I sunned myself, ate and drank (only soft drinks though!) the whole time. My hubbie and I had a lovely relaxing holiday which was perfect after having a hectic year, and a little health scare a few months ago. Now I feel I'm back on track again. so it's onwards and upwards as they say.

Anyhoo it's that time of the week again, it's Sweet Stampin' time and my turn to share my Design Team card with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Wheels'.

For my 'wheels' card I used an old baby digi stamp from Pink Petticoat to create a Christening card - this was a commissioned card so I've covered up the baby's name on the tag.

Here's What I Did
I used an 8" x 8" white card base which I matted and layered with some patterned paper and coloured card. Using a smaller piece of the pink card I punched along the bottom edge and matted it with the same patterned paper as before, then wrapped a piece of ribbon around it - this was mounted onto foam pads and added to the card base.

The digi stamp, sentiment and the baby's name was printed directly onto some white card and cut to size. The pram was printed out twice onto colouring card stock and coloured with Copic pens. both of the prams were then fussy cut out and added to the topper using foam tape to give extra dimension. The completed topper was added to the card base along with die cut flowers and a flourish.

To finish off I added buttons for the wheels, the name tag and a few pearls.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp:  Pink Petticoat 'Sweet Cheeks'
Dies: Britannia Multi Rose 'Medium', Marianne Designs 'Swirl Rose-LR0162', Cheery Lynn Designs 'B11-Fanciful Flourish'
Paper/Cardstock (CS):  Pink, Cream, Dusky Pink, Green, Lemon CS, First Edition 'Spring Drops'
Copics: R000, R11, R14
Other: Serif Craftartist 2, Pearls, Glitter, Buttons, Hand Cut Tag, Distressing Ink

Sugar Nellie - Feed The Birds

- Hello Sugar Fans -
Well I've literally just come back from my fab holiday in Majorca - Puerto Pollenca to be exact. My hubbie and I had a brilliant time relaxing in the sun and of course swimming in the sea. It was just fabulous being able to colour away and whilst listening to my music whilst staring at the ocean...total bliss.
Anyhoo, it's Wednesday and Sugar Nellie day, and my turn to share a card with you.  So this week I thought I would make something another girly and autumnal for you. This gorgeous 'All Dressed Up' stamp is called 'Feed the Birds' and I thought it had touch of autumn about it - she's available as a digital stamp from Funkykits.  I just think she's so cute and I love the little squirrel, there's more of the 'All Dressed Up' digital stamps available to download in store.

Here's What I Did
I used a 6" x 6" scallop card blank and matted it with pretty blue patterned paper. I printed my image directly onto my colouring cardstock and I coloured it with Copic Markers, to add a little background I added various sized dots. I then die cut 2 frames from blue and pink card using several square dies and layered them up on the card base. The coloured topper was inserted inside the frame.

Using the left over squares from the frames I adhered some doubled sided sticky paper to them and die cut some skeleton leaves. I peeled off the backing paper and added some crystal glitter - these were added to my frames as embellishments.

To finish off I added a few gems and a touch of glitter.
