Sweet Stampin' - Summer Fun Challenge

Hellooooo, well it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.  This week it's all about Summer Fun --- well the sun is actually shining here in the UK. ;)

So to get you in the mood here's my DT card.

Here's What I did
5" x 5" cream card base with a mat of patterned paper and then a cream and coloured cs mat.  The stamped image is from an old Penny Black stamp that I've had for years - I think it was one of my first ever rubber stamps I bought and it was quite expensive at the time. I coloured the whole image using Tim Holtz distressing pens and inks, and then stamped and coloured the daisy head again which I layered on top using foam tape.  To finish off I added a little glitter to the flower head and added some die cut clouds.

Here's everything I used:
Rubber Stamp:  Penny Black 'Lazy Days'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Papermania CS, White CS, My Minds Eye 'Tangerine'
Distressing Inks & Pens: Various
Dies: Joy! 'Clouds'
Other: £1 Shop Embellishment, Glitter

Sugar Nellie - Scrapberry's Little Princess

Good Morning Sugar Peeps!

It's Thursday so it's my turn to share my Sugar Nellie DT card with you.  This week's card is made using a new range of stamps available from Funkykits called Scrapberrys and this little cutie is called 'Little Princess'.

Here's What I Did

Mum's Window Card

Hi everyone, because I didn't have a DT card to make this week I thought I would share a card I made for my mum's 75th birthday yesterday.  Happy Birthday Mam x

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a gorgeous one made by a lovely lady called Kitty - her blog can be found here. She has some fantastic cards on her blog together with some brilliant tutorials, it's definitely worth a visit.

Here's What I did
I used a 7" x 7" card base with a pink mat onto the top. The white brickwork was made using an embossing folder and the grass was cut out using my Cricut a few months ago. The window frame and bicycle were cut out from CS using my Silhouette and a few cutting files, I designed the flower box and awning myself which I cut out of white hammered CS and patterned paper. I glued acetate behind the window frame, and raised it above the roller blind which was made using a border punch and then put through a crimper. The tiny flowers were punched out, shaped and glued individually onto die cut branch; I also added a few into the bicycle's basket. To finish off glitter was added to the bicycle seat and handles and a few butterflies were scattered about.

Here's everything I used:
Paper/Cardstock (CS): 7" x 7" Card Base, Papermania - Pink (it's not actually as vivid pink as it looks in my photo), Pastel Pink, Pastel Blue, Green, White Hammered CS
Dies: Tonic Flower Punch, Tonic Border Punch, Woodware Mini Butterfly, Tonic Layering Ovals
Other: Crimper, Glitter, Silhouette, CraftArtist 2, Acetate, Couture Creations 'Brick In The Wall', Embossing folder '

Sweet Stampin - Say It With Flowers

Hellooooo, well it's that time of the month again ---- it's Sweet Stampin' time.

Wow, I've been sat here crafting with all the windows open listening to all the birds tweeting away - it's been a beautiful day. So beautiful day hence 'wash day' :) basically if it stood still long enough it went in my washing machine and then hung on the line. Obviously the downside to this is the dreaded ironing, which I hate btw.  Apparently here this week it's going to be awful - rain and more rain, but as we know the weather peeps often sometimes get it wrong.  lol

Here's What I did
Here's how I made my cute girly card. I cut down a 5" x7" pre-scored card base slightly and took the top corners off to make a tag card, then echoed this with the pretty LOTV paper (I inked around the edges before adding it the card base). The pretty border was made using a Tonic punch and I added a paper ribbon strip to compliment her dress.  The flower was die cut using the same colour card stock as the border and to give it a lift I glued die cut lime green glitter card leaves underneath.

The Prima girl was stamped, coloured and cut out, as was her dress from again pretty co-ordinating LOTV paper, she was added to the card using foam tape. To finish I glued a ribbon in place and printed off my sentiments which were cut out in random shapes, inked and placed around her. I have to say I love, love, love these Prima stamps they're so girly, and up to now I've made quite a few cards using her and her friends - they're just so versatile!

Here's everything I used:
Stamp:  Prima Dolls #910198
Paper/Cardstock (CS): LOTV 'Promises', Papermania CS, Glitter CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dress - V02, V04
Dies: XCut 'Petal Posy', Tattered Lace 'Embellishments'
Other: Ribbon, Tonic Border Punch, Serif CA2

Sugar Nellie - Under The Sea

Hello Sugary Peeps!

It's my turn to share with you one of the many stamps from the Sugar Nellie range over at Funkykits or the Etsy store. So for my DT card for this week I thought I would pick something a little but different for me.  This pretty rubber stamp is called 'Under The Sea', isn't she cute.

Here's What I Did
I used an 5" x 5" card blank and pretty First Edition paper in the background. I have to admit I was out of my comfort zone with the underwater side of things, so I tried to keep it simple. So after colouring the gorgeous mermaid and her turtle friend with Copics, I swept across the background firstly with my palest shade of blue, then I added blue green shades getting a little darker each time. I then added lots of different size dots using the same pens colours as in the main characters. To finish I added a die cut flower and some leaves to the corner, plus a little glitter to her pearls.
Here's What I Used
Rubber Stamp: Sugar Nellie 'Under The Sea' available from Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Aqua CS Papermania, Neenah Colouring CS, First Edition 'New Blooms', Glitter CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30 / Hair - YR0000, YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Fishtail & Turtle - BG10, BG13, BG15 / Top - V000, V01, V04 / Turtle Shell - E33, E35, E53 / Pearls - Y35 / Background - B0000, B000, B00, BG10, BG13, V01, V04
Dies: Die-namics MFT 'Blueprint 8'
Other: Glitter, Sequins
