Mo's Boy

I made this for my mum to give to my nephew (...sssh!), his birthday's not until next week. The brilliant image from Mo Manning was a dream to colour, and it soooo looks like my nephew.  I used my favourite Promarkers to colour him in and used blue chalk around him.  The background was printed directly onto the A5 card using Greeting Card Factory. I tend to use GCF most of the time as this allows me to print my digital papers and images straight onto the card I'm using, plus I use it for making my insert.  Sometimes I'll use it just for setting out my layout of my card to give me ideas.  I must admit I wouldn't be without it!  Sorry about the quality of the photo.  I'll try and upload another one later.

Promarkers used:  Ivory, Blush, Apricot, Meadow Green, Lime, Forest Green, Pastel Blue, Cornflower, Saffron
Background: GCF

Anniversary Wishes

Made for my boss and his wife (my work colleague).  I decided to make use of my birthday pressie (Tonic Studio Border system and Punch), so I made a border around the envelope flap.  The flap was stamped with a swirly stamp using a Versmark inkpad.  The swirly frame (centre) was imported into Inkscape and my Craft Robo software and redrawn using a brown sakura glitter pen and then cut out (I love my CR)!!!

Finally I added a bow and  but still felt it needed something so I decided to make my own version of a hat pin - using wire and beads.  I think it works...well I like to think so!!!  I definitely plan to make more in the future so that I can add them to my card.

OMG I love brown and beige...boring I know, but I just can't help myself.......X

A bowl of sherbet

I made this card for my niece, and decided to make use of the
lovely paper from Fred She Said.  The gorgeous image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, and she was a dream to colour.  When I uploaded it to Mo's forum on Paper Craft Plant, Mo (the illustrator - an extremely talented lady) described it as 'cheery as a bowl of sherbet.

LOL thanks Mo, that sounds perfect!!!

My Birthday

I had a lovely day yesterday with my hubbie and a wonderful phone call from my lovely daughter Heather, who I miss terribly. This is my first birthday since she was born that she hasn't been here with me to help me celebrate.  Thanks to all my friends and family who left birthday messages on my Facebook wall.

I received a few gift vouchers and money for my birthday to spend in Hobby Craft......and of course I did!  Then hubbie and I got takeway Pizza and watched a movie...ahh such joy!

I can't way to use my crafting goodies - I bought the Tonic Studio border system and 2 punches plus Label 4 nestibilities.  I can't wait to use them all later today.  I'll post my creation when it's finished.

Well here's my first upload......

This is my very first card to be uploaded...I hope you like it.  I created it for my niece who's birthday is a few days after mine.  The gorgeous pixie is a digi image from http://www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/acatalog/Digital_Downloads.html.  I just love these little images, they are a dream to colour.  I used promarkers to colour both her and the toadstools, and added a little glitter to finish.  I raised her up a little with foam pads onto a couple of nestabilitie circles. The beautiful background paper is another digital download from http://fantasymoments-scraps.blogspot.com/  Then to top is off I punched out a few flowers from the papers I'd use.

Thanks for looking.

Welcome everyone!

Well I've done it!! I've gone and got myself a blog...
I hope you will stop by often, if possible leave me a comment to say hi.  I look foward to starting something new and meeting new and old friends. Thanks
