Well, what a fab year I'm having.
I'm been invited to join another Design Team over at Sweet Stampin. They hold a weekly challenge and have some brilliant prizes plus a monthly prize draw for anyone who took part during that month. My duties will be fortnightly, so I'll be post my cards every 2 weeks - my first card will be on Saturday 5th Oct.
So why not pop over and check out this week's challenge and have a look at the DT's projects for a bit of inspiration.
Hugs
Janine X
PS I'm still waiting to hear if I've been successful in my bid for a place on Mo Manning's DT as a Guest Designer. It's a good job I'm dead organised. :)

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 203
I'm back and I'm totally chilled out from my holiday, so I'm raring to go with my DT duties. So here it is, my card for this week's Totally Gorjuss's Challenge. The theme for anyone wanting to join in, is 'Anything Goes with Traditional Christmas Colours'.
My card is using a digi stamp from stamp sheet 469 from one of this week's sponsors Whoopsi Daisy, isn't she pretty. I printed off 3 copies of the images, coloured certain sections in with my Copics and cut these out. Finally I added glitter to her wings and layered her up.
Here's what I used:
Paper: Magazine Freebie - Wild Rose Studio paper pad
Digi Stamp: Stamp Sheet 469 - Whoopsi Daisy
Stamp: 'Snowflakes' Butterfly Kisses from Hobby Art
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20 - Red Stripes - R14, R27, R59, Blender / Green Stripes & Dress - YG11, YG17, YG67 / Wings & Bubbles - Y000, Blender
Dies: Cheery Lynn 'Leaf Flourish', Memory Box 'Mini Holly Leaf', Marianne Designs 'Poinsetta'
Other: Cardstock, Distressing Ink 'Bundled Sage', Pan Pastel 'Phthalo Green' and 'Bright Yellow Green', Ribbon, Gems

Sugar Bowl October Challenge Card (108)
Well we're slowing motoring toward Christmas - oh dear I mention the dread 'C' again....sorry! *Slapped wrist* I won't say it again, I promised. But the night's are drawing in, and there's a slight chill in the air on a morning (well there is here in the North East of England!). So to brighten your day there's another monthly challenge over at The Sugar Bowl - the theme is Anything Goes (it MUST include a SUGAR NELLIE digital or rubber stamp).
So to get you in the mood here's a card I created using this gorgeous girl, isn't she beautiful. She was such a dream to colour in - she comes in digital format and you can buy and download her from Funkykits here. I love orange in cards, and particularly love aqua and orange, it's give such a fresh and zesty look.
So don't forget to drop by at The Sugar Bowl and have a look at what the rest of my DT buddies have created for you, and why not join in with this month's challenge. It's open to everyone and the theme is 'Anything Goes' so why not give it a go. You can create anything you like but it MUST include a SUGAR NELLIE STAMP (either rubber or digi) otherwise it will be removed (sorry!).
*** Just to let you into a little secret while you reading this post I'm sat on the beach in sunny Spain sipping a glass of ice cold Sangria....jealous yet! LOL I'm thinking of you all so I'm not being totally cruel. I hope the weather's not too dreary back in the UK. ***
Have fun, and I look forward to seeing your creations on my return.
Hugs

Totally Gorjuss Challenge Card - Stripes (201)
Here's another card for this week's Totally Gorjuss challenge - the theme is 'Stripes'. I'm on my hols in Spain at the mo, so while you're reading this I'm sitting on a beach under an umbrella drinking a cool Sangria........it's a hard life isn't it. I had a huuuuge amount to do before I went away, so I decided to make a CAS card for you, with splash of colour of course.
I have this thing about orange - I don't tend to wear it but I love to make cards with it. I think it makes cards look fresh and summery even when you use it in the winter months. The card base is 8" x 6" and was cut by me.

Mo's Digital Pencil Guest Designer Entry
I thought I would be daring and enter this little cutie into Mo Manning's Guest Designer call out. I entered it in the 'Good-bye Summer' challenge. It's for a 3 month term. I know I don't stand a cat in hell's chance as the standard of Mo's DT is out of this world, but I thought what the hell what have I got to lose! Mo is one of my most fav illustrators, her drawings are down right gorgeous. I've been using Mo's digital images for years, long before digital stamps became fashionable and long before they were turned into rubber stamps. Honestly, I'm not sucking up lol! I just love, love her images - she has such a fantastic eye; and although I love all her stamps I think the way she captures little ones is so exact that they're just magical, and don't fail to make you giggle.
So here's my offering, I hope you like it. I've had this little 'Summer Baby' stamp for years, I got it when Mo did it as a freebie (I know I keep saying 'it', that's because it can be either a girl or a boy). I loved it but never had a reason to use it....till now. I used this little chap because my thought was that he's grabbing the last of the summer sun before autumn kicks, and having a little paddle. Well that's my way of thinking anyway. :)
