Lili Of The Valley - Pengiuns

 Afternoon Everyone

This is the last of my collection of Christmas cards for Lili Of The Valley (LOTV) using one of their new polymer stamps. Today I've used another of the cute characters from the 'Penguins & Reindeers' stamp set, now available in the LOTV Etsy shop. I used Copic pens to colour with. I hope you like it.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
For this card I trimmed down a some pink snowy paper and added it to the front of a 6" x 6" white card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.

I stamped the cute little penguin onto Copic blending card, and die cut it into a small square. The image was coloured with Copic pens, and glitter was added. It was mounted onto pink card then a larger postage stamp frame. Funky foam was glued to the back of the frame and attached to the centre of the card. To complete the card I added a few red pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - Snowmen and Penguins

 Good Afternoon

Hi everyone, I'm sharing 2 projects using the new polymer stamps from Lili Of The Valley. We have lots of new polymer stamp sets which launched back in July, which include Christmas and Halloween.

For my project today I decided to make 2 mini books. I was inspired by a lady on You Tube who made a whole collection and I thought I would have a go. I used images from the 'Snowmen' set for the 1st book, and the 'Penguins & Reindeers' set for the 2nd book. I used Copic pens to colour with. I hope you like them all so far.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
The process for both books is exactly the except the binding wires where added down the side of the snowman book, and along the top of the penguin book.

First, I cut 2 pieces of cardboard for the front and back cover - 3" wide x 4" tall, and 2 pieces of Christmas patterned paper 4" x 5" (to cover the cardboard), as well as 2 complimentary pieces of patterned paper cut to 2½" x 3½" to cover the inside flap of the covers.

To make the covers - the cardboard was glued into the centre of the patterned paper, the paper was scored around the cardboard rectangle (to make folding over easier) and the corner were mitred to create the correct angle, then cut off. The sides of the paper were then folded inwards and glued down onto the cardboard; pieces of the complimentary paper was glued over the top off the raw edges to hide them.  The finished front and back cover were punched with the Cinch machine.

For the papers inside the book I trimmed down lined index/revision cards slightly smaller than the front and back covers, along with a few pages of pattern paper from the same pad used for the front and back cover. I punched them with my Cinch machine ready for the wires.

Next I stamped the penguin and snowman onto Copic friendly card, coloured them using Copic pens and fussy cut them out, and decorated the front covers with elements from my crafty stash. Once everything was ready I combined the components to create the books using ¾" white wire (pitch 2:1)

Here is a link to the lovely lady whose video tutorial inspired my books. I'm certain her video will be much clearer than my written instructions above, and will be useful if you wish to make your own mini books -- click here to go to her You Tube video.

Polymer Stamp Set: Snowmen and Penguins & Reindeers (these stamps are currently out of stock but there are more are on there way)

Lili Of The Valley - Cute Elephant #4

Hi there

If you live in the UK, I hope you enjoyed your May Bank Holiday. I'd love to say the weather was great here in the north East...but as usual is was rubbish! Anyhow back to cardmaking. Lol

I'm back to share the last of my Lili Of The Valley 'Cute Elephant' cards. For today's card I used 'Balloon - Elephant' and coloured her up using pastel pencils again. I hope you enjoyed the preview of all the gorgeous little characters. For all the cards I've made over the past few days I used the polymer stamps and might I say the elephants are quite large, but there will be digital versions of the stamps if you prefer to resize them or flip them - the links will be added this week.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I covered the front of a 5" x 7" card blank with dotty lilac paper. The sentiment was printed onto pastel colouring card first, then the elephant was stamped with black ink just below it and die cut into a rectangle. The scene was coloured with various pastel pencils, and mounted onto a lilac mat. The topper was glued flat onto the front of the card. To finished the card I added a few pearls around the sentiment.

FYI - I used a paper stump to blend the pencils and a fixative spray to stop the pencils from smearing.

Polymer Stamp Set: Cute Elephants
Digi Stamp Set - Balloon Elephants
Digital Sentiment - Spring Mix 32 Sentiments

Stabilo Pastel Pencils: Elephants - 720, 635, 690, 750, 105, 311, 215 / Balloon - 385 / Grass - 560, 570, 575 / Sky - 435 (some of the colour was removed with an eraser to give a paler shade), 365

Other: 5" x 7" White Card Blank, Mixed Media Card (Daler Rowney), 'Snow princess' paper pad (LOTV), Lilac Card, 'Postage Stamp Frame' Die Set (Creative Expressions), Pearls, Double Sided Tape, Funky Foam, Black Ink, Glue
