Afternoon everyone
I'm back again with another peek of one of the new digi stamps, papers and sentiments from Lili Of The Valley. As I mentioned in my previous post the new Mother's Day/Spring/Easter collections will be launched in the LOTV Etsy shop tomorrow (4th March).
For my card I have again used the 'Shoes, Shoes, Shoes' digi stamp, but this time I teamed it up with a paper from the 'Whimsical Damask' collection and a sentiment from the 'Embossed Labels 2' set. I used Copic pens to colour in part of the stamp and paper pieced the rest. I hope you like her.
For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps, and the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.
In my graphics program I inserted the digital paper and printed it off onto smooth printer paper twice. I trimmed down one of the sheets and added it to the front of a 6" x 6" scalloped card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge.
I went back to my graphics program and using the same digital paper I added the girl image over the top of it. I resized the girl image to fit my project and then moved her to the desired position on the paper; once I was happy I removed the paper from the screen (so as not to print it out again), then sent it to print again. The outline of the girl image was now printed onto the digital paper; I fussy cut out the ribbon and bow, the bottom most gift box plus her little dress. NB - Lili Of the Valley have produced a written tutorial to help you with this technique - here. Using my graphics software, I printed out the girl image again directly onto colouring cardstock and die cut into a square. Using Copic pens I coloured in parts of the hat, her skin, shoes and one of the boxes. The patterned paper pieces I cut out earlier were then glued into place.
The completed image was mounted onto a teal fancy die cut square, and funky foam was glued to the back and attached to the centre of the card front. Glitter was added to the gift box.
To finish the card, the embossed digi sentiments was recoloured from black to teal to tie in with the card using my graphics program. The printed out sentiments were trimmed down and attached to the card front using foam pads. The tutorial for this is on my 'Tutorial, Tips & Hints' page on this blog or in the 'We Love Lili Of The Valley' facebook group.
