Lili Of The Valley - Penguins Sledging

Hi guys

I'm here again sharing some Christmas magic with you from the wonderful Lili of The Valley. My card for today is using one of the cute digi stamps, this one is called 'Sledging Penguins', isn't it adorable. I just love colouring up these little characters. I've also included one of the new 'Elegant Christmas Sentiments', the links for both featured items are listed below. I hope you like it. x

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the digi stampsand the LOTV online store to check out the rest of their goodies.

Here's What I Did
First I added a piece of lilac card to the front of my card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. Using my graphics software I imported the cute penguins and a sentiment, then resized them both to fit my project. The image and sentiment were printed directly onto colouring cardstock and die cut with a square die. The image was printed out again onto masking paper, and fussy cut out including a large section beneath the penguins for the snowy area. I covered up the penguins and added distressing inks to the sky (see the list below), then splash a little water over it. To add a little more interest I watered down some white and black chalk paint, then splashed a little over the sky area as well.

When the background was dry I coloured the image using Copic pens. The finished picture was mounted onto a white square die cut frame, and funky foam was glued to the back of that. The complete topper was added to the front of the card. I added a little detail to the left of the card using a die cut snowflake, circle and banner, along with a little pearl. To finish the card I added a little glitter around the penguins. For Sale - £4.50 + P&P
