Craft Consortium - Over The Hedge #3

Hi everyone 💜
Woo Hoo!! The fabulous new collection from Craft Consortium 'Over The Hedge' (in partnership with Melissa Lowry) launches today on Create & Craft TV today time on Tuesday 10th September @ 2pm (UK time), then it's repeated at 9pm and on Craft Extra. The products can also be purchased in crafts shop both here in the UK and in the USA. The collection contains hedgehogs, owls and foxes and lots of floral accessories. The collection contains 3 fabulous stamp sets, a 12" x 12" paper pad and embellishments. The stamp sets contain 2 of the same animals but in different poses and they are approx 2¾"-2½" tall; other elements are approx ½"-3" tall (1.5cm - 9cm).

For my card today I used Harry The Hedgehog which I coloured with Copics. I just loved the recling hedgehog and had this vision of him doing somersaults, so I created a slider card (my first ever). :)

The links to the new products will be added after the launch, or you can also go to the Craft Consortium's website using this link here and sign up for an update to this launch and any future product launches.

Here's What I Did
I covered the front of a 5¾" x 8" card blank (cut down from a larger card), with a piece of brown card, leaving a slim border around the edge. Next I die cut a piece of white card into a rectangle, then I created a background sky using blue ink and a cloud stencil. I stamped a sentiment from the set straight onto the clouds. I die cut another rectangle from green card for the grass area. From brown card I then die cut a curved fence to go across my card, then using this as a guide I added the same curve effect onto the green card.

To create the slider section, I used a small sentiment die with a rounded ends and just extended to fit my project. I added lots of foam tape on the back of the panel especially around the slider aperture but ensuing I did not obscure the sliding action.

I stamped the hedgehogs onto my blending card with a black ink then fussy cut them out. To make the slider - I stuck a foam pad on one side of a UK 1p coin and attached the sliding hedgehog to it, then tucked the 1p it into the slider aperture, and added the upright hedgehog to the end of the slider using foam pads. I added the completed panel to the card front.

To complete the card I added lots of a tiny die cut flower to the grass.
