For today's post I'm sharing my latest card for Craft Consortium. To brighten your day I've used the beautiful 12" x 12" 'Tropical Paradise' paper pad, which like it's name contains colourful tropical designs full of flamingos, parrots, exotic leaves and flowers etc. The paper in the pad is 180gsm and contains 30 double sided sheets. The quality and price is fabulous, so definitely check it out. The pad also contains 2 sheets of images which can be cut out and used on your projects. The pad is now is available in a 6" x 6" size (see link below).
I covered the front of a 7" x 7" scalloped card blank with one of the pretty flamingo papers, leaving a slim border around the edge. I cut a strip of pink vellum and attached it across the centre of the card.
I printed my own sentiment onto a piece of white card and die cut it into a circle, then attached it to a pink die cut scalloped circle. The topper was then glued to the front of the card front. From the image sheet included with the pad I fussy cut out the flamingo and stuck it to the topper with foam pads.
Using pink and white card I die cut 3 flowers, one large and 2 small and added them to the top left of the topper. Leaves cut from green glitter card were tucked behind the flowers.
To complete the card a pearl and a few gems were added to the flower centres, along with a few small flowers cut from pink card.
