Crafter's Companion Inspirers Design Team - Project #2

Good morning everyone

Well I'm here today to share the 2nd of my March Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you. Today's project celebrates Children's Craft Day, so in honour of this fabulous day I created a mini craft kit using Crafter's Companion products plus a few extras elements. For my kit I decided on a Mother's Day theme, and aimed my kit at children from 5+. For the full kit content please check below the photo. I have included a sample card in the pictures to show what could be made using some of the content.

The kit could easily be adopted for any occasion eg birthday, Christmas, kids parties, Halloween etc. All that is required is some glue and the kit will keep the kiddie winkies occupied for hours.  Just a thought...why not get a few ready for the next half term holidays (Easter).

You could also tweak my idea for a friend who you're trying to get into crafting....simply let your imagination go wild. Thanks for looking 💚

Here's What I Did
Using the patterned papers as a colour guide, I simply die cut lots of flower shapes and letters in different sizes and colours, and included a few gems, buttons and glitter. Everything was slipped inside the cellophane bag and added a bag topper which I created using a computer program. I did package the buttons, tiny die cuts, sequins and glitter separately so they didn't get lost or spilt. All that is required now is some wet glue or a glue stick, and a willing child. :)

Here's What I Used
Crafter's Companion Products: Sara Signature Collection 'English Country Garden' Paper Pad, Core'dinations 'Pastel & Brights' Pad', Die'sire 'Flowers 4', Sara Signature Collection - English Country Garden 'Floral Duo', Diamond Press 'Block Alpha Capitals', 'Love Today' and 'Enjoy the Ride', Die'sire 'Circles', Die'sire 'Mam', Crafter's Inspiration Freebies Issue '#13',

Crafter's Companion 'Inspirers' Design Team Project #1

Good morning everyone

Well I'm here today to share the 1st of my March Crafter's Companion Design Team projects with you. Today I'm showing off one of the new stamps from Sheena Douglass's new range Temptingly Tropical. This particular stamp set is called 'Love Birds' surprisingly enough :)
Aren't they just the sweetest things, personally I think they would be great for an anniversary or simply to 'say I' love you'.

I used Spectrum Noir Colourblend pencils on this cute twosome along with a little distressing ink for the background. This is a big stamp as are the rest of the new launch stamps from Sheena, so great value for money and definitely worth checking out. Thanks for looking 💚

Here's What I Did
I used an A5 card blank which I matted with green card, then die cut flourishes from glitter card which I added to each corner.  Next the image and sentiment were stamped directly onto white colouring card, and again onto a post-it note which was carefully cut out to create a mask.  Using the mask over the birds and branch the cloud effect was created using a die cut cloud border and blue distressing ink.

Using a photo for reference the birds were coloured using pencils once the sky was dry.  After punching the corners of the completed picture it was matted and layered onto dark green card, and then added to the card base using foam tape. To finish off I added a few gems to the flourished corners.

Here's What I Used
Crafter's Companion Products: Sheena Douglass Temptingly Tropical 'Love Birds', Sara Signature Collection - Butterfly Lullaby 'Fancy Flourishes', Spectrum Noir Colourblend Pencils (Saddle Brown, Russet, Avocado, Ivy, Shamrock, Peacock Green, Amazon Green, Pear Green, Daffodil, Bumblebee, Daisy, Honey, Saffron, Tangerine, Poppy, Seal Grey, Denim Blue)

Other: Green Card, Green Glitter Card, Gems, Cloud Template, Tumbled Glass Distressing Ink, Corner Rounder

My Mum's Craft Shop Guest Designer Spot

Hello and good morning everyone ---

I'm here this morning feeling very excited, as I was asked to guest designer for My Mum's Craft Shop (MMCS) by Kitty, so of course I said yes. Woo hoo!
http://www.mymumscraftshop.co.uk/
For my 1st MMCS post I immediately chose a stamp from the Dreamerland Crafts range as they're so cute...I love the retro feel of them. The one I finally plumbed for is called 'Surrounded By Love, I adore the little puppies they're just so sweet. I used Spectrum Noir pens and Illustrator pens to colour with, some Echo Park patterned paper and a few MFT dies and stamps.  Thanks for looking 💖

Here's What I Did
I covered a 5" x 5" scalloped card blank with pretty patterned paper, leaving a slim border. Next I cut down a piece of strong white card and die cut a arch shaped in the centre and adding a stamped sentiment just below it.

Using the left over die cut arch clouds were added using a die cut cloud template and blue distressing ink. fancy circle from white card and 2 pieces of funky foam, these were all glued together to create a frame.

The image was stamped onto colouring card then coloured with alcohol pens. When the image was completed the top section was cut away, but making sure that a generous section was left on the bottom under the girl. The image was stamped again onto the same patterned paper I used previously, then pen was added to the dress and bow areas to create shade, then cut out. The two cut out pieces were paper pieced onto the coloured image and the whole image strip was glued behind the arched window.

The cloud arch was glued flat onto the card blank and the aperture panel containing the image was also added to the card front using foam tape. To complete the card, stamped and die cut paw prints were added along with a few enamel dots.

Here's What I Used
Stamps: Dreamerland Crafts 'Surrounded By Love', MFT 'BB You Have My Heart'
Dies: MFT 'BB You Have My Heart', MFT Die-namics 'Stitched Arch STAX', Lawn Fawn 'Puffy Clouds'
