Sugar Nellie - On The Wings Of Love

- Morning Everyone -
Hello,

Mmm, I thought this was supposed to be spring? Well so far we've had rain, wind and cold....and oh yes a splash of sun :(

Anyhoo, I thought I'd made a Christmas card because I was feeling inspired....mmm, I wonder why! Lol.  So for my Design Team card this week I used 'On The Wings Of Love' and it's available as a digital stamp. I just love Sugar Nellie's Home Grown digital and rubber stamps, they're all so sweet and pretty. For my card I used Copic pens to colour with, and then put it inside a frame. I partially die cut the image so the wings and basket could hang outside of the frame which works really well.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=91_148

Here's What I Did
Firstly I embossed a piece of green card with a snowflake pattern and glued it to the front of a 5" x 5" card base. The image was printed directly onto some colouring card and coloured with Copic pens. Then I die cut an inverted scalloped square frame from white card and attached it to the card.

Next I placed the same square die over the coloured image and drew around it, then using a pair of scissors I cut around the wings and basket where I wanted them to hang outside the frame. I placed the die back over the image and carefully lined it up with the drawn outline, I made sure that the wings and basket were laid over the top of the die, then die cut it. the cut out topper was then glued inside the white frame on the card base.

To finish off I added some die cut holly and glitter.
Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'On The Wings Of Love' available from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Green CS, Neenah, 5" x 5" Scalloped Card Base
Copics: Unfortunately I have misplaced my list, so as soon as I find it I will add the colours
Dies: Joanna Sheen Signature Dies 'Holly Berries', MFT 'Stitched Square Scallop Frame'
Other: Distressing Ink, Glitter, SN Glitter Pen, H2o's, Creative Expressions 'Snowflake Lattice' Embossing Folder

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #134

Hi everyone

Happy Easter or Happy New Spring Day :)

Well it's Monday, and my turn to share a Little Miss Muffet (LMM) Design Team creation with you today. My make today was made for our new challenge (#134) over on the LMM blog.

After seeing this little cutie I just had to create a little spring scene for her - her name is Kiki and Kitty, and you can find her in the LMM store here. Just about everything behind Kiki including the frame is die cut; even Kiki and her cat were cut out using my cutting machine.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted an A5 card with blue card, and added the die cut frame. Next I die cut all the components - the clouds, hills and hedge. The hedge was then cut again from pink card and sections were cut out and glued over the top of the green version.

I printed the image directly onto some colouring cardstock. The image was then cut out using my cutting machine with as white border around it and coloured with Copic pens. Everything was then layered up inside the frame.

To finish off I added a few punched out butterflies and added glitter to the flowers.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: Kiki and Kitty
Paper/Cardstock (CS): White, Blue & Green CS, Neenah Colouring CS, Vellum, Taylored Expressions 'Build A Scene' Paper Pad
Copics: Fur - E51, E53, E35 / Dress - B0000, B000, B00 / Pinafore, Flower & Butterfly -  RV10, RV21, RV23, R32 / Kitten - W0, W2, W3, W5

Stamping Bella - Sally and Her Snail

Hi everyone

As I don't have a Design Team card to share with you today, I thought I would share instead a card I made using one of my favourite Stamping Bella stamps. I used Aqua markers to colour with and with glitter pen over the top of the snail shell and flowers.

I love adding yellow and lilac together as they really work together well. I decided to make quite a CAS card and kept the embellishment simple.

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted my 7" x 7" card base with a piece of pretty patterned paper and another strip across it.

Next I printed my image directly onto my watercolour card stock and coloured it with watercolour Aqua markers, to add a little extra definition I used pencils in a few places.  The finish image was die cut into a square and matted onto a larger die cut square and added to the card base using foam tape.

To finish off I added pearls, a die cut flower and leaves, plus glitter pen to the flowers and the snail shells.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Stamping Bella 'Tiny Townie - Sally & Her Snail'
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Watercolour CS, LOTV 'Promises' Paper Pad, 7" x 7" Scalloped Card Base, Purple, Green and Lemon CS
Aqua Pens: Face/Skin - Peach, Topaz, Desert, Blossom / Hair - Yellow, Sunflower, Boulder, Chestnut/ Background - Aquamarine / Outfit, Shoes, Butterfly & Flowers - Purple, Red Violet, Orchid, Aquamarine, Sunflower / Tights - Aquamarine, Teal / Snail Shell - Sunflower, Gold / Snail Body - Bud Green, Fawn / Grass & Leaves - Bud Green, Moss
Dies: Crealies 'XXL Stitched Square', Tattered Lace 'Pearl Squares', MFT Die-namic - Blueprint '14'
Other: Foam Tape, Bakers Twine, Wink Of Stella 'Clear Glitter' Pen, Pearls

Sugar Nellie Design Team - 'For You'

- Hello Sugar Fans -

Good morning everyone!
Sorry for the lateness of my post today but I've not been feeling brilliant since Friday.  Anyhoo here it is - I thought I would use one of the stamps from the Scrapberry range called 'For You' and make a CAS card for you. I felt as though this little cutie was sort of saying "ooops" because he'd naughtily made a boat from someone's newspaper, so I made it into a 'Sorry!' card. Wow.....I have such a vivid imagination! Lol
This stamp and lots of other Scrapberry are available to buy from Funkykits.

http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=91_148

The completed image was then mounted onto a die cut green mat, and added to the 5" x 5" card base using foam tape. To finish off I added a enamel dots.
Here's What I Used

LMMS Challenge #133 (14th Mar)

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well it's Monday and my turn to share a Little Miss Muffet (LMM) Design Team creation with you today which was made for our new challenge (#133) over on the LMM blog. I've seen lots of these pocket letters lately on Facebook and Pinterest so I thought I would give it a go. Basically the sleeves you can buy are normal used for trading card. Each pocket holds a piece of card/paper 2½" x 3½". It did take me a little time to create it but it was fun, I suppose they're a little like the old ATC's we used to make. The concept was created to send messages and little things to a pen pal as the sleeve will actually fold up if you don't stick things on the front as I've done.

My Pocket Letter is On my Pocket Letter I have used 4 digi stamps, all of which can be found in the LMM store - Tine Flower, Val Gives, Sweet Val and Trunk Full Of Love Sentiment.

I apologise for the quality of the first photograph as it was difficult to take without getting a glare onto the plastic sleeve. The rest of the photographs show the cards outside of the sleeve.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut down 2 complimentary 12" x 12" sheets into tiles that would fit each pouch (2½" x 3½"), then I set about decorating each one. I made sure I kept the colour palette simple and only used an aqua and pink card - however you could easily go to town on these. To embellish the tiles I used a variety of die cut and punched out elements, using glitter and gems to decorate.

I printed the elephant images and sentiment directly onto some colouring cardstock and coloured them all with Copic pens. I fussy cut everything out and added 4 of the images on the inside, and attached one of them on the outside using foam tape.

To finish off I used washi tape down the left hand side along with a few punched out elements.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: Tine FlowerVal Gives, Sweet Val and Trunk Full Of Love Sentiment.
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Pink & Aqua CS, Neenah Colouring CS, First Edition 'Spring Drop' Paper Pad
Copics: Elephant - C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, W1, W2, B000 / Hearts, Tougne, Bow, Flower - RV00, RV02, RV04, YG01, YG17 / Love, Bottle - G000, G00, BG34, RV00, RV02, RV04
Dies: MFT Die-namics' Blueprint 8', Paper Smooches 'Kudos Words', Die'sire 'Lace Bloom', Memory Box 'Cross Stitched Hearts', Tattered Lace Mini Dies, Joanna Sheen 'Banner', Sizzix 'Hearts,
Other: Foam Tape, Clear Glitter, Gems, Butterfly and Flower Punch

Little Miss Muffet Inspiration For You (March 7th)

Heeeellllloooo everyone

Well good morning, it's Monday and my turn to share my Little Miss Muffet creation/inspiration with you. This is gorgeous little chick is part of the new release and despite it's name
'Puddle Jack' you can easily turn it into a chickette as I've done. I think this makes this little guy so useful, for example you could use it for an Easter card or maybe a get well card eg 'I hear you're under the weather' - get it! Lol :)

To show off this little guy it was printed several times, coloured with Copic pens and decoupaged. The completed picture was then added to the tent card base to create a CAS card.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/

Here's What I Did
Firstly I lined the premade deep frame tent card with patterned paper and assembled the card. Next I
printed the little chick 3 times, and die cut one into a square. I then coloured the areas I wanted with Copic pens and fussy cut them out, then layered them up using foam tape. I added glitter to the welly spots and glossy accents to the rain drops and puddle.

When everything was dry the finished plaque was glued into place in the centre of the card frame. To finish off I added clear gems and a few candi dots.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Puddle Jack' - available here
Paper/Cardstock (CS): Neenah Colouring CS, LOTV 'Up, Up & Away' Paper Pad
Copics: Duck - Y000, Y00, Y02, Y08, Y17, R30 / Umbrella & Wellies - RV02, RV04, RV10, G000, G00, BG10, BG23 / Puddle & Raindrops - B00, B05, B12 / Shadow - W1
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Square'
Other: Tent Fold Frame Card, Gems, Glossy Accents, Candi, Glitter

Sweet Stampin' - Unusual Hair Colour

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Unusual Hair Colour'.  So come on and grab your stamp, and go wild and create some fun hair colours and make a card or project and join in with us.

Well I won't lie, I had to think hard about this one and I decided not to go all glam, instead I went for Bam! and Zaap! Lol. I've had this little cutie for absolutely ages and just never got around to using her, she's call Super Girl, isn't she fab! There's also a boy version as well (which I've also never used).

So for my card I made her into a 'The Purple Crusader' and colour her hair to match her cape; she's coloured with Copic pens. Isn't she just fab! The circles on the card were die cut to create apertures and brightly coloured papers printed with super hero sound effects and used to fill them. Well she is a super hero after all :)

Here's What I Did
First I cut a piece of lilac card to size to mat a A5 white card base, then cut a piece of white card to fit on top. I die cut 3 circles and a few star shapes into the white card and glued it directly on top of the lilac card. Using CraftArtist I printed super hero sound effects on to 3 different patterned papers and die cut them using the same size circles, these were then glued into the apertures. Everything was them attached to the card base using foam pads to give it a lift.

Next I printed the image directly onto colouring cardstock and coloured her in with Copic pens, then fussy cut her out. She was attached to the card base using foam pads.

To finish off I added a little glitter to her mask, and die cut a few more stars and attached them using foam pads.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: 'Super Girl' by Christine Grove (Cuddly Buddly Crafts)
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11 / Hair - V000, V04, V05, V12, V17 / Pants & Socks -  Y000, Y00, Y02, Y17 / Cape - V000, V01, V04, V05, V12, V17, C5 / Mask -  V000, V04, V05, V12 / Top & Trousers - B0000. B000, B02, B23
Dies: Simon Says Stamp! 'Stitched Circles', MFT Die-namics 'Blueprint 8'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Dovecraft 'Back To Basic IV' Paper Pad, White, Purple, Lilac CS
Other: Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen, CraftArtist 2, Foam Pads

Sugar Nellie - I Found My Family In a Book

- Hello Sugar Fans -

Good morning everyone!
So for my Design Team card this bright Wednesday I decided to use one of the gorgeous Gorjuss girl stamps again - I know, I know but I'd already had her coloured up and I had to share her with you, plus she's a little beauty. The stamp is called 'I Found My Family In A Book' and she's available both as a large stamp as well as a mini.  I used distressing ink pads and pens on watercolour card with a splash of glitter. Erm, do you like my attempts at creating little paper dolls as embellies. Lol
This stamp and lots of others are available to buy from Funkykits.

Here's What I Did
Firstly I matted a 5" x 5" card base with some beautiful green patterned paper. The image was stamped directly onto some watercolour card and die cut it into a rectangle. I coloured the image in with distressing ink pads and pens making sure I kept the colours nice and delicate.

The completed image was then mounted onto a blue mat and a green die cut frame which I added to the card base using foam tape. To finish off I added glitter and a few pearls; to add a little interest I cut out 2 paper dolls from cream card and edged them with a little distressing ink.
